BEWARE - LIES & BOTCHED DRESS!…read more My mom purchased her MOB dress from The Blushing Bride for my upcoming wedding. They offered in-house alterations for $100-$150 so we were happy to use them and keep the dress at the store. We went in for the 1st fitting and then a month later they called to let us know the dress was finished. We arrived to find HALF of the alterations completed (she hemmed half of the dress but not the other half, took in the waist but not the bust, etc.) and the half that was complete was botched. Luckily, I took photos from our first fitting that I was able to show the owner who helped us at the "final" pick up appointment to demonstrate all the things that were missed/done incorrectly despite being pinned at the end of the first appointment. The owner was rude, condescending and never ONCE apologized for the issue - she just said "Oh I am not sure why the seamstress did not complete this or that". After my mom took the dress off and we spoke, we decided we no longer trusted the Blushing Bride team with her dress at all and feared that they would end up cutting off more of the dress that we could not salvage if we left it with them. It's also note-worthy that to them, this dress was complete and final, they would have happily let us leave with it had we not pointed out all the things they missed. When we politely requested to just go ahead and take the dress with us and not have them "alter" it again - we were told by the owner we had to pay $250 TO TAKE HOME THE DRESS WE HAD ALREADY FULLY PURCHASED! Mind you, we were quoted $100-$150 for the entirety of the alterations, not to mention we drove 2+ hours each way multiple times, half of the alterations weren't done and those that were done were comically bad. After we expressed our outrage that they would even make us pay anything in this situation, the owner would not allow us to pay any less than $150 to get back the dress we already paid for in full. We paid it just to be done with these crooks, but I caution any other customers, DO NOT TRUST THE BLUSHING BRIDE WITH YOUR DRESS! It's all about how you handle your customers, and while the employees themselves were sweet, the owner could not have been more rude. Do not give your money to someone who will let you leave with a botched dress and LIE about the cost of alterations to your face!

My first appointment was when I did get my dress. Of course they gave me the whole, " oh you look beautiful " and blah, blah, blah, just to get my business and buy the dress. I had to order my dress in the correct size. So they ordered it, I came back and this is where it completely went south. This was a horrible experience. I'm assuming that since they already had my money they do not care anymore. First of all, I walk in and actually stood at the front little check in area for a good two minutes while an employee just sat at the check out counter ignoring me. I had to end up saying something to get her attention. Then, it being a long drive as I live 2 hours away needed to use the ladies room. As she was going to get my dress, she rudely said I didn't need to follow her. Well, maybe don't put your bathroom in the back. Then once I came back out, I do not get any help putting my dress on to make sure it properly fit. The lady just acted like she did not want anything to do with me. I didn't even get my dress buttoned up in the back. I went back into the dressing room to change and when I came back out, she was gone. Just left as I'm doing this. This was on a Tuesday at 1 in the afternoon, so there was no one else here. I had to bag up my dress myself not being able to fully get it into the bag. I left the store and I literally cried when I got into my car. This is supposed to be one of the happiest experiences of my life and they ruined this. Please, go somewhere else. This place does not care about anything but getting your money!!

Finding my dress wasn't an issue. I tried on about 10 dresses in one day and found one I loved…read more Julia was very helpful and listened to everything I explained I wanted to help me find what I was looking for. I ordered my dress on their layaway program. I had to pay extra for a $15 gown bag when my dress was already 1000+ (not their fault but should be included considering the price) and got three color swatches and a tote bag. They didn't educate me that when I want to make a payment on my dress that I have only two options, 1.) pay in store or 2.) pay over the phone with manager assistance. I live about 2 hours away so the phone is clearly the best option. I have a diamond membership and when I would call about my dress they would say they couldn't find the order at first then go through some things to see it. I would have to call multiple times or would be disconnected after being on hold and have to call back. They also didn't educate me that I would have to pay additionally if I wanted the dress shipped to my home and I could've just ordered the dress online directly and skipped ordering at the store. My dress arrives at the Tallahassee location and I needed to get it shipped to Panama City. I paid to have it shipped to Panama City. My dress arrived not in the gown bag I paid for. The bag was missing from the order, I had to call for them to find the order on their system then for them to say they would ship it out to me. I will say if you're planning a wedding and in a time crunch, this wouldn't be the place to shop. They are very sweet but disorganized which causes unnecessary stress to a bride. If my wedding was closer than six months away I would've been livid at the amount of fumbles they did while taking care of my order.

SUCH AN UNCOMFORTABLE EXPERIENCE. I went into the boutique…read moreand they had me write down a bunch of information before helping me, and after I was done, the lady working asked me what I was looking for. I told her a prom dress, and she asked me what size. I told her anywhere from 0,2, or even 4s work on me. She looked at me kind of funny, and showed me where they were. I started picking out dresses, so that I would be able to have them all to try on without having to put on all of my clothes and have to go BACK out , fully dressed to pick out more dresses, and for some reason that dissatisfied them. The sales lady looked at me after I had picked out 3 dresses all size 2, and with an ugly look, and told me I should "make sure your in the CORRECT size", as if saying I needed a bigger size. I ignored and kept picking out dresses. Then, ANOTHER sales lady walks over and implies the same thing, and tells me I should try the ones I already picked out ON, instead of picking out more. So, feeling like I had no other choice, I did. And every single dress was $375+ and all extremely long and did not fit correctly. As I was trying on dresses, the workers would knock on the door. And pressure me to come out, and a direct quote : "Are they even fitting?" . They only let you bring 3 in at a time so I had to get fully dressed and go back out to get the next 3, which was extremely aggravating and inconvenient. Again, they knock repeatedly and made me extremely uncomfortable, pressuring me to come out of the room. I walked out of the dressing room, and they asked why I didn't come out in any. (There's mirrors in the room). I told them all the dresses were too long, and didn't fit me correctly. The sales lady laughed at me, and said "Any dress you get, you'll have to get hemmed and have adjustments made". I left and found a perfect dress that needed NO HEMMING OR ADJUSTMENTS at david's bridal for half the price. Would not EVER recommend and would never step foot in there again.

They left huge railroad tracks down all the sleeves, on ALL THE SHIRTS! On one shirt I had asked them not to crease the collar at all (because I use it for service dress)... they creased it with starch! The second time, I decided to try a separate location and was even more disappointed. They flat out LOST my Heavy Blues V-Neck Sweater. The first time I went to pick up my uniforms the desk attendant (who mumbles and has a horrible attitude) said they had shipped it to another store and to come back later. I came back 4 - 5 days later (as directed) and the same attended (again with the horrible attitude) tells me they lost it so I should look in the mail for compensation check... I GOT A LETTER FOR STORE CREDIT that reads as follows: "Again we would like to apologize for the inconvenience this matter has caused you and appreciate your patience and understanding in dealing with this unfortunate situation. Store Credit has been issued in your name at the store, this credit has no expiration date and has been entered into the store computer to insure you of full payment $47.00. Jim Massey's is committed to providing the very best drycleaning & Laundry service available in Central Alabama. We proud of our excellent service, and you should expect it at all times. We apologize for our failure and we are working very hard to insure that it does not happen again. Clusters are the backbone of any company and I hope we have satisfied you in such a way that we will continue to service all of your dry-cleaning & laundry need in the future." Yes grammatical and capitalization errors included! How is this compensation! I don't want them every touching my uniform items again! On top of that how is store credit going to help me acquire another sweater? If anything they should be paying me $50.00 for a $3.00 inconvenience fee for their ignorance, for making me drive up there twice to pick up the lost item and again tomorrow morning to argue about "compensation!" This is completely unprofessional and unsatisfactory. Use the Base DryCleaners or purchase your own at-home steamer, dealing with company is not even worth your time, effort, or business. Period.
