Dr. Andrew Marlowe is honored to bring his insight and expertise to the Sarasota, Florida community in the form of the Marlowe MD Ear, Nose & Throat - Center for Hearing. Dr. Marlowe specializes in adult and child issues involving the ears, nose and throat. The doctors believe that every patient should enter an environment of comfort, quality and friendliness first. The staff at Marlowe MD Ear, Nose & Throat - Center for Hearing address conditions such as sinus and ear infections, tinnitus, balance issues, facial nerve disorders, and tumors. Dr. Marlowe provides expert guidance regarding procedures such as balloon sinuplasty, endoscopic sinus surgery, and in office procedures to treat sleep apnea, snoring, and turbinate reduction. In an effort to accommodate a more diverse patient community, several of the staff are fluent in Spanish. Dr. Marlowe realizes that it can be extremely stressful and sometimes scary to receive a diagnosis with a serious course of action required, and you can count on patient and understanding responses from the staff at Marlowe MD Ear, Nose & Throat - Center for Hearing, where you are always treated with respect.
History
Established in 1998.
Dr. Marlowe prides himself on being a healer as well as a scientist. Devoted to state -of-the-art dianosis and treatment of otologic problems, he treats such disorders as hearing loss, dizziness, balance problems, tinnitus, facial nerve disorders, ear infections and trumors of the ear or skullbase in children and adults.
Dr. Marlowe's electrical and biomedical engineering degree combined with his intimate medical and surgical knowledge of the human hearing system make him and his staff uniquely qualified to meet patients' hearing aid needs.
We offer both an uncompromising focus on the needs of our patients and the ability to deliver all possible solutions to hearing loss. Solutions include surgery, hearing aids, and implantable devices.
Meet the Business Owner: Andrew M.
Dr. Marlowe practices adult and pediatric Otology, Neurotology and general Otolaryngology (ear, nose and throat). He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electircal Engineering from Boston University College of Engineering in 1983 and was conferred his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Medical College of Pennsylvania in 1987. Dr. Marlowe completed his general surgical internship at the Medical College of Pennsylvania Hospital in 1988. In 1989, he was awarded an Auditory Electophysiology Research Fellowship at Temple University's Garfield Auditory Research Laboratory. He then completed an Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery Residency at Temple University in 1993.
Certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, Dr. Marlowe completed an otology/neurotolgy fellowship at the Dallas Foundation of Otology in 1995. He has served as Assistant Professor and surgical instructor at Hahneman Univ. in Phila and SUNY Buffalo. He relocated to Sarasota in 1998.
