Bottom line: I'm delighted to give Liebert Associates my very highest recommendation without any…read morereservations whatsoever. And, that's coming from a do-it-yourselfer like me who has a life long history of finding it all too easy to utterly despise accountants and account executives. A little less briefly, it gives me great pleasure to most enthusiastically recommend Liebert Associates for tax & accounting services for a variety of sound reasons. I started working with Mr. Liebert five years ago, when I took a new job in Manhattan while maintaining a family in Philadelphia. Both my wife and I also run small consulting businesses, so after 15 happy years of doing-it-myself with TurboTax, we needed help. Complexity increased when both my wife and I lost our parents and inherited a variety of assets in different states. Things went from bad-to-worse-to-seemingly impossible when my wife took possession of family trusts that were bewildering for a person like me to understand. (I'm a nuclear medicine physician.) I've been a full professor in two Ivy League universities. By those standards, Brian Liebert is extremely smart--4 or 5 sigma. So is his partner, Sally Trauco. They have enormous funds of knowledge about taxes. Their ability to manipulate information quickly to create innovative solutions, and get the job done, is even more impressive. They are consistently responsive (wow!) with quick turn around times. And, they've stood by us. Brian has settled several IRS inquiries within a few days with on-target communications that strike remarkable balances between conciseness, decisiveness, and collegiality with the IRS professionals. Perhaps as importantly, Brian and Sally are warm, kind, and easily approachable. Their social IQ's are conspicuously extraordinary, and it shows whenever they need to correct something I've done that's stupid (which is not all that infrequently). They have genuinely mature senses of humor. I've always been amazed at how well Brian seems to remember me and my wife. Sally also has a memory like an elephant, and a charming talent for communicating a lot of happy thoughts in a brief passage (unlike me). It's remarkable that an on-line service can show a personal interest in their clients. After 5 great years, we're confident you're going to greatly enjoy working with them. P. David Mozley, MD

Joe is the BEST thing we did for our company, Altared Visions. I found him through rave reviews and…read moresuggestions on the SouthCoast Girl Photographers Night Out group on Facebook and I could kiss everyone that sent us to him! Joe will meet with you and learn all about your business. He acts as an accountant, financial adviser and business consultant all in one! His advice has helped up clean up our back end and finally tackle sales tax and all the other things that made tax time a nightmare in years past! His rates are great, his service is fast and prompt and he is so easy to reach. We really couldn't ask for more. Thank you Joe, for all you do!!

Nakata Consulting is an essential piece of my business life!!…read more But for the rest of this review let's just be on a first name basis and talk about Joe. I would have probably given up the whole self employed business long ago if not for Joe. I found Joe through some other colleagues in the Boston photography network years ago. I'll admit I was more than clueless about how to keep my bookkeeping organized and he took me under his wing, took the chaos and made sense of it all. Now I do most of the bookkeeping on my own and he gives it a look once a month to make sure I'm on track. In a "teach a man to fish...." sort of a way. Monthly, quarterly and annual taxes are a breeze now and I can confidently make business purchases and know the overall health of the business. If you're a small business (he has a keen knowledge of the photography business - take a look at his client list!! http://www.nakataconsulting.org/links.php ), but also for restaurants, etc... He'll do your sales taxes, bookkeeping, consulting and all at reasonable rates. I've referred him to friends (non-business owners) as well and he'll definitely take care of you. So walk right past H&R Block and call Joe!

We've been through a few major life transistions in that time and for each one we got solid advice on how to prep the tax parts. I went here to do my wife and I's taxes about 5 years ago. Everyone was very nice and our taxes…read morewere done within 40 minutes which was pretty quick considering the agent had to go through all our papers we brought in and input all that information. We payed about $275 as a special for our first time there and we got a pretty good sized return. Everything went very smoothly and we decided to go back the year after. Just like the first time we set an appointment and 40 minutes later we were done however we had to pay almost $100 more since I had a bit of extra paperwork and more forms had to be filled out. Although it hurt to pay the extra $100 for one form we payed it since we still got a good return. My wife and I decided to go the year after again. This time it was completely different. We set an appointment and were there 10 minutes early and our agent told us they were just finishing up with their previous appointment and would be right with us. Just as our agent was finishing up with the previous appointment another person came in and our agent let us know that they had to take this person before us but would be done shortly. When the agent wrapped up with this person it was 45 minutes after our appointed time. My wife and I were a bit annoyed by this but we wanted to just get our taxes done and did not want to reschedule to get it done. Just like the previous times in about 40 minutes time we were done however this time around it cost us about $50 to $60 more expensive than the last time and we had less forms to fill out this time. We decided to do it since we spent all that time but I figured it was time to find another place to do it. I spoke with a coworker of mine and they told me they used turbo tax to file theirs and had been doing so for years and never had a problem with it. I decided what the heck and bought the $70 turbo tax and tried to file my taxes myself. It walked me through all the forms and questions that I had been asked while my taxes were being done at liberty. After I finished all of them I ended up getting more money from turbo tax with the same amount of paperwork that i took to liberty. From that moment on I have continued to use Turbo tax and will not go back.
