My first appointment I waited 1 hour, which I see people have issue with on the reviews. The truth is- sometimes specialized care takes time. If you have questions for the care team you expect them to take time with you. The one hour wait is not an issue when you consider this isa surgical office that sometimes has pop up emergency patients. The office was kind to me when I checked in. I saw the Dr. who answered all my questions and had an immediate plan of care going into the appointment. Then I sat with Evelyn to schedule. She is wonderful! So clear and assuring in her demeanor and very knowledgeable about insurance policies. She was also so easy to reach when I had questions post scheduling. Another shout out to Natalie who helped me with all the confusing paperwork that was needed by my work for time off. I don't think I could have figured it out without her! Im still healing, but I feel like I was taken great care of and so lucky to have Dr. Mirhashemi operate on me given his expertise in his field. It seems like it was quite the procedure and he was able to complete it all laparoscopic, something a lesser surgeon could not.

I had a very disappointing experience with Dr. Ramin…read more I waited over an hour past my scheduled appointment time in an extremely overcrowded waiting room. It was 9am and the office was so packed that patients were standing in the hallway. Multiple people around me were complaining about how late their appointments were running. When I was finally seen, it felt rushed and unprepared. He had not reviewed my biopsy results ahead of time and looked at them for the first time while I was in the room. He did not perform a vaginal exam, yet my Explanation of Benefits later reflected that one was billed to my insurance. During the appointment, he even acknowledged that I might not have CIN 2 or 3. Despite that uncertainty, he still recommended scheduling surgery. I ultimately sought another opinion at USC, where the specialist repeated the biopsy and confirmed that the diagnosis was only CIN 1 and that surgery was not necessary. When you are dealing with something as serious as surgery, you want a physician who is prepared, thorough and cautious before recommending an invasive procedure. That was not my experience here. I strongly encourage patients to find a different doctor.

He provided a thorough explanation of my diagnosis and clearly outlined the recommended treatment plan. When my surgery required urgent advancement due to an abscess, Dr. Bhayani promptly accommodated the change and ensured continuity of care by designating himself as my primary surgeon. His esteemed reputation at Torrance Memorial was apparent, as all staff members adhered closely to his direction, and his surgical team demonstrated the highest level of professionalism. I am now three weeks post‑operation following a successful laparoscopic sigmoid colectomy and am recovering remarkably well. I could not have asked for a more capable or dedicated surgeon. Thanks to Dr. Bhayani, I am no longer burdened by diverticulitis flare‑ups, and I am deeply grateful for the quality of care I received.

Never once did I feel rushed. I left reassured he had a handle on it and that I was in good hands. He recommended and Exploratory surgery to confirm his suspicions. He was right in his initial gut feeling. On my postop appointment he shared photos of areas that had been of concern to my Gastro Dr and Radiologist ,who read my CT ,and revealed that there were no twists in my colon ,and assured me that I was not in danger of a potential bowel obstruction. He took his time again explaining everything. I left with a sigh of relief.

I really appreciate Dr Taylor's candidness, willingness to listen, and his ability to admit when something was outside of his realm of expertise. Thank you for everything you tried to fix me (and shout out to Gloriella & Natalie for all your help & support too)! As a side note, the office does do everything manually (no MyChart, email, etc) which makes things less convenient and there is usually a substantial wait for appointments, but otherwise you're in good hands!

I was absolutely shocked to see the facility when I walked in. It looked more like a back alley clinic. Half of the forms had handwritten places to sign and it was PACKED in a tiny room. My regular doc is at the main Providence facility, so I expected it to be similar since this is also Providence. Dr. Taylor is a butcher. I have never in my life undergone such excruciating pain during a culpo. I have 10 tattoos and a very high pain threshold and was begging him to stop. At one point, I almost passed out and his response was, "just pass out, you're on a table." When I asked how long the extreme pain would go he said "I don't know" and looked at the nurse. There was absolutely NO bedside manner or consideration of the fact that if a 40 year old woman is writhing in pain, something might be wrong. 7 hours later, I'm still in immense pain.

My doctor, Dr. Ziyeh, went above and beyond in a way I will never forget. After being diagnosed elsewhere with stage 4 TNBC and told I had 7-8 years to live, she made sure to remind me that there is a cure for me--that I don't have to live with this for the rest of my life. That hope changed everything. The entire staff is incredibly caring, compassionate, and supportive. City of Hope is what the standard of care should be. I've seen both sides of healthcare, and the difference here is undeniable. I will forever be grateful for City of Hope

The vibes are always great despite the heavy reason we're all there. The infusion rooms are these spacious private bays, with big comfy, reclining chairs (with seat warmers!), and an additional seat for your loved one. There are also a few completely private rooms with beds for those who need those. So no squeezing in with 15 other people in one room! They always answer any questions I have through MyChart within a day or two, always follow up to make sure scans are scheduled, and have even helped out with pharmaceutical financial assistance applications without me having to do anything. I understand that people are more prone to leaving reviews when they are upset, but seeing all these negative reviews about a place that has been absolutely amazing to me was bumming me out so I'm hoping this helps. Also, free parking!
