The place was super clean, the check in process and lobby was nice. My son had a hard time sitting still for the X-rays and the hygienist was definitely getting frustrated. They do give the kids balloon animals and a token to get a prize when they are done. The dentist was not super friendly but seemed to do a good job and gave me good feedback for my kids teeth. I think in general maybe make an appointment for the morning and not the end of the day.

Teeth are a high priority and I expect a dental office to appreciate patients with this mindset and not act nonchalant about canceling a patients appointment. I have set day and times that I'm available due to my own work schedule and this office wouldn't be able to accommodate them until 6 months from now?!?! This indicates an office management issue that shouldn't be put upon the patient. I already took my business elsewhere when they cancelled my hygiene appointment in January and said they couldn't get me in until July if I required a later afternoon appointment. The rest of my family will be discontinuing service as well after they cancelled my husband s appointment and couldn't accommodate his schedule until summer.

I worry about coming in for my annual cleaning, or bringing my kids, even if they take "precautions" in the office. How can they ensure patient safety if all the employees don't take precautions outside the office? These are supposed to be educated, medical professionals. Some of the assistants I haven't met but I know Dr Susanto's care for her patients and I know she will always have assistants who will handle your child with such care and consideration. They pay attention to details and explain things along the way with patience and kindness. My little guy is on the spectrum and will need to have GA for his dental work and I honestly don't know if I'd let any other Dr see him. You can tell that Dr. Bo takes his staffing very seriously by the way they conduct themselves in their patient care and also safety & disease preventions. During Covid, their office was always following all Covid safety measures (not every dental office was) - I never had to worry when I brought my son in for his appointments. If you come a few minutes early to your appointment they have a fun game room for the kids to play, they always have a fun show on during the appointment for your kiddo to watch, and they also have a reward system for their toy store that they earn money for at each cleaning. I am equally disappointed in myself as a parent and a health care provider for not seeking another dentist sooner and trusting this dentist. I am a Family Medicine Provider, I rarely leave reviews but I am disheartened and need to communicate this message. My daughter is fearful of all medical clinics as she was in the ICU for a week when she was 3 years old. Yes, she will cry and resist dental treatment likely for a lifetime. A child crying should not limit the treatment or halt the exam. We visited this Dentist on 9 occasions with the intent of getting my daughters teeth examined, cleaned and x-rayed. In the totality of the 9 visits, we received no x-rays or cleaning, the exam was rescheduled each time because my daughter cried. Our Last visit I urged the Dental tech to continue getting the x-ray and just allow her to cry as she was having dental pain. The Dental tech denied continuing. The diagnosis was possible abscess but unknown without xray. Nine attempts to get her teeth cleaned without result. The chart notes were requested; the assessment & plan was cut and paste formulaically every visit with instruction on teeth brushing. I immediately transferred care to Dupont Pediatric density, and they worked magic, did an x-ray and cleaning same day. My Daughter did in fact have an Abscess and was given Antibiotics and referred for appropriate treatment. Please Parents, learn from this. Seek another Dentist if your child is not getting the care you feel they need and deserve. Shame on you Small to Tall pediatric Dentistry. No thanks. Going to a private room and they want me to mask in case I get aerosols from my own child...(I told them I live with her and I'll take the risk and sign a waiver or something. We went back to happy kids to see what the issue was, the dentist looked at it for one minute and said we needed to go to an endodontist as he may need a root canal and he can't do anything with a permanent tooth. We pay out of pocket and have paid happy kids almost $2000 at this point. Weeks later of my son being in pain we finally see the endodontist who says the tooth is alive and we need to go back to Happy Kids to resolve the issue. This time we see another dentist at Happy Kids who can tell the tooth is alive and gives us antibiotics to treat the POSSIBLE issue. It has been almost 2 months between the first appointment and this last appointment. It has been months of my son being in pain, going back and forth between dentists, additional money out of pocket when this could have been resolved if the dentist took the time on our visit in January. Edit: the antibiotics did not work and my son is still in pain.

The front desk is friendly & efficient. The dental assistants have all been amazing and caring, and we have now seen 3 dentists here who all have been wonderful with both of our kids. I've glad we found this office, our kids now also say they love going to the dentist.
