Duck breast and crab cakes were both delicious!

The food is excellent. The choices available on any given night will please any palate (except for someone who shouldn't be dining out!). My only complaint? The over-the-top pretentiousness of the servers and bussers. Obviously, the staff are trained to say "How are we doing this evening?" "Is everything to our liking?" "How are we liking our mocktail?" "Are we ready for our check?" Now, if our server was tasting our food and drink, and if she were willing to split the tab with us, I'd say "We're thrilled!" (and I'd mean her too.) 18 hours later and I'm still mystified about the purpose of this service style (outside of Buckingham Palace, perhaps).

First off, the ambiance and service were absolutely fantastic and out of the park. I tip my hat to them for the great accommodations and speedy yet accurate and delightful service. If you want to have a very beautiful and classy dinner with a partner or your whole family this an awesome spot to do it at . The river was very Erie at the time which added to its mystique and beauty. On a clear hot an sunny day it's a great photo op location. Second, the food / drinks. All of our waiters / waitresses were fantastic and really kind. We had some kids at our event and they wanted French fries and there was no issue getting that out to them . As an adult we got jealous and also ordered French fries and there was again, no problem there. It was a 3 course set and all of the courses were very good. The only knock I have is that nothing was great or blowing me away. That does not mean this place is bad or anything of the sort. In fact I would gladly return to this establishment. I just felt like the steak could have been more flavorful. The mushroom soup could have been more robust (the bread assortment they give was actually delicious) . The one thing that I can say was my favorite part of the course was the cheesecake. I think that was the highlight of my course. The crust was nice and buttery And the cheese wasn't too heavy and not too lite. All in all I had a fun time here and I would love to return. If you're in the area and want a nice scene while eating this is the place.

    An amuse bouche--tomato gazpacho.

We started off our casual Wednesday dinner at Andres outside. It was stunning and beautifully serene until the torrential downpour started. Even being underneath the tent, we were still getting soaked. So, having finished our appetizer of the inside out burrata outside, we moved inside. My fiancé and I loved the burrata appetizer, well balanced with the arugula salad and the sweetness of the peaches and plums. For our main entree, we shared the tomato basil pizza, which we had the pleasure of watching Andre himself prepare outside by the wood fire stove. The pizza was everything we had hoped for, crispy crust and gooey mozzarella cheese, topped with fresh basil. After polishing off the pizza, we moved onto dessert. My fiancé and I opted for the creme brûlée, which itself is a work of art at Andres. Crowned on top with beautiful berries and a sugar cookie, the creme brûlée was perfection and just the right amount of sweetness. We will certainly be back, as we can't wait to try their other menu items. A huge thank you to Tracey, Andre's wife, who checked on us during the evening and made sure that we had everything we needed. NOTES/TIPS: **On Wednesdays, it's casual. It's not their regular menu, but a great time to try this restaurant. **Make reservations!! Andres is very popular and they get booked pretty quickly. **There's plenty of parking in front of the restaurant. **Sit outside, if the weather is nice. The ambiance is just beautiful and some nights they even have a musician playing outside. **They are a BYOB!!

At Andres, besides incredibly unique and delish food, there's this !

Is this restaurant still open? Their website appears to be shut down.

    Yes - https://andreslakeside.com

    Is it byob?

It's both, they offer wine and beer selections albeit limited and you can BYOB, there was not a corkage fee last time I checked but give them a call - they are super friendly and helpful - you are in for a treat. Walter

A relaxed friday evening. Yes there was a party, but it was on a different side. We were easily noticeable as we were in the middle of the room next to a bar. A lady did eventually come to our table and then was gone for a bit. Again, this place wasn't packed, so I'm not sure what was taking so long. The service just wasn't good. 1/5 stars Food: Burrata salad was good and so were truffle fries. I enjoyed them both. That was the best part of the meal. The surf and turf was disappointing. Ribeye steak with scallops. The meal wasn't worth the price being charged. Maybe it was the way it was cooked, but I can't make excuses. Flavor was nothing to talk about. Asparagus was fine. The place is nice, with it being on the water, as we near the bar with a great view of the lake. But between the service and food. I was disappointed.

I truly want to give this 2 1/2 but I'll play it nice and go up to three. The reason for this is…read morebecause upon being seated, it took an extremely long time for someone to come up with us even though we were in the middle of a section that was being served by two different servers. After waiting for a while, we ended up getting a server who's area was on the other side of the restaurant, which did play into us having to wait around for them for a while at times. Although this was the case, she was still very friendly. We ordered the burrata salad (very yummy) and truffle fries, both of which were the best part of the meal. Moving forward, we ordered the surf turf, which was a small ribeye steak with scallops. This dish was unfortunately really disappointing due to the stake just not being worthy of the price that it was being charged. The flavor was unforgettable, and it was actually the least exciting part of the whole dish. I definitely enjoyed the asparagus more than I did the steak and that's not a great feeling. All in all I was originally excited to come here as this venue is very beautiful especially being on the water. Unfortunately I won't be returning as this visit didn't sit well with me as a first impression. Hopefully others have a better experience.

The food is consistently good, the service is attentive, and the overall atmosphere during the day is relaxed and enjoyable. It's a great place to unwind, grab good food and drinks and enjoy being on the lake! Weekend nights can be a different story. The live bands tend to be loud and a bit over the top, which can overwhelm what would otherwise be a really pleasant setting. A cool, laid-back DJ with better volume control would elevate the experience and make it a place you'd want to linger longer. All in, it's still the go-to on the lake -- just pick your timing wisely.

I decided to try the seafood risotto which was decent but a couple of the scallops were a little over cooked and the risotto itself was kind of sticky. My husband got the steak sandwich which he was surprised was a whole piece of steak (opposed to being sliced) but he said the steak was very tender and he had no issues eating it! I also stole a few of his sweet potatoes fries which were very good.
