I have been getting my hair cut, colored, and highlighted by hairstylist Kara Richard for over a year and a half now. This is the longest I have ever stayed with the same hairstylist in my adult life (let's just say I'm overprotective when it comes to my hair), which is certainly a testament to Kara's talent and abilities! Besides her incredible styling skills, (she's been dying my hair red since the first time she styled it, and everyone refuses to believe it's not natural - even friends who knew me beforehand need reminders), she seems to know exactly if you're in a talkative mood when you come in or if you'd prefer to simply zone out while your hair gets cut. Since I am a girl who loves to chat, but sometimes has off days (usually due to lack of morning coffee), I know that going to the salon will always be a great experience, no matter what. Kara is a great hairstylist, witty, and has great stories to tell! She constantly keeps up on the latest trends, but will always listen to what you want first and foremost (and deliver!). Cashmir is a lovely salon that hits the sweet spot between upscale modern and relaxed comfort. It is also probably the salon with the best view in Santa Barbara. However, on this particular visit, we were fortunate to be assisted by sales representative, Debora Kraushaar. She greeted us with a huge smile and "hello." Debora was absolutely welcoming, polite, knowledgeable, and really made us feel like family. She was able to answer all our questions and was extremely generous with her time in helping us; especially considering, there were several other customers that she was also busy helping. Debora has an extremely generous spirit! She treated us more like family, than customers! The ambiance of Cos Bar is absolutely luxurious, and the staff obviously embrace their job(s), with an infectious passion! The staff was extremely attentive and knowledgeable, and wonderfully polite. I've been to several department stores and boutiques shopping for fragrances, but I've never experienced the quality of service, nor the sheer selection, of quality products, that were on display. In closing, for those in the market for a new fragrance, or beauty product, especially, very difficult brands to acquire; or if you're just looking to replace your current fragrance, or beauty product(s), you definitely have to take a step inside Cos Bar of Montecito and look around. However, there is a lot near by with 75 minutes free parking then you are charged after. While waiting for my stylist, i noticed a bridal party getting ready in a private room. Heather did my updo and she was so sweet! I told her what my dress looked like and the theme of my event. I gave her freedom to choose what to do and she showed me a picture of an updo. It was perfect! She did a wonderful job and was so pleasant to be with. I would highly recommend her!

The artists know each other well so there was a respectful and playful dynamic. Sometimes the makeup artist needing a few moments of no head movement to do things like eyeliner, and the hairstylist would ask the makeup artist to step back for before unleashing a big cloud of hairspray. It was just the perfect dynamic. I'm hiring them for my wedding in the Fall in Florida and I just can't wait!

I have tried contacting them since and maybe received one response. Last night I received an automated email from a bankruptcy lawyer stating the business has "ceased all operations effective 10/24/19" but somehow my artist is still assigned to my event and I will need to contact my artist directly with the information given in the email. HOWEVER no contact information has been given for my artist other than the first name "Gaby." We called the business contact number - just rings and goes to voicemail. We called the attorney listed in the email - basically was told to leave my information, the name of the company and how much I'm owed and my name will be put on a list.. however the impression that is being given by the attorney is that it's not guaranteed I will receive the money back and he "knows nothing" about who to contact regarding the situation.. My wedding is in 2 weeks and now I am having to stress last minute to find a hair AND makeup stylist that is available on my date. It's literally impossible. It's very clear that the company had to of known they were filing for bankruptcy within this month, yet continued to book services and accept payments from people booking for future events. It is shocking to me how a company could so easily take advantage of people and is now causing multiple brides extra stress to find a new service provider for their wedding, with little to no time to do so. I will definitely be contacting the Better Business Bureau.
