I truly love Dee Dee and this spa! I started using the products I received as a sample gift that my best friend gave me to try and noticed such a difference in my skin to the point my husband started to use the cleanser as well.Since her products are organic and catered to specific skin textures with sensitive skin we loved the results so much that we decided to take a hour drive to get facials done by Dee Dee every month.I will definitely recommend if your tired of using endless products with out positive results give skin prophecy a try you will love the results and the great customer service as well :) read more

Fantastic Facial! Katie put me at ease and gave me an excellent treatment. My skin feels much lighter, improved, and certainly more "glow-y". Love their pure & effective products, especially the revival serum, resurfacing wash cleanser, and mmm...that hazelnut spritz is divine! read more

I have been using Dee Dees products for 10 years. I started out with bad acne and couldn't find a solution, it was almost time to go towards the accutane route, but I was a top tier athlete and didn't want to risk injury, but through Skin Prophecy and after having an intense facial with Dee Dee, my problems went away. The berry wash treatment I still use today and if I'm being honest, need to use it every day almost like a cup of coffee! I don't feel refreshed and cleansed without it. The berry wash truly helped my face as an athlete and built me my confidence I needed for sports and my career. This photo was a couple days before I went in! read more

Skin Prophecy - Prior to facial and skin routine - Skin Care Near Me - Santa Barbara, California

I've been coming here for almost a year and have a lot to thank Dee Dee for. Not only did she help clear up my ongoing acne, but she gave me the right formula to keep my skin soft which I haven't experienced ever! Dee Dee will never force any product on you and is very generous when it comes to sampling products. Thanks to her samples I've been able to find a great skincare routine and feel very happy about my purchase. Also, she has her own line and makes her own products read more

More and more as I age, I avoid looking into mirrors. I'm afraid of what I see! Dry and scaly on one side of my face, oily down the middle, blemishes popping up waving 'hello', and shadows under the wrinkly skin around the eyes. And the newest cause for alarm are the wrinkles around the mouth and neck. What a mess! Then a great friend, whose skin always looks terrific, recommended Dee Dee at her Skin Care Clinic-- Skin Prophecy in Montecito. To paraphrase Confucius: "Everyone is beautiful but not everyone sees it." After my first session with her, and many subsequent sessions over the year, I am confident in saying she's the "queen of seeing". Seeing possibilities and offering knowledgable recommendations and treatments for my skin problems are one of her many gifts. Dee Dee is that rare person who sees what is possible and she gives all of herself in the process of correcting problems that invite you to see yourself anew. In my case, creating a clear, smooth complexion, Dee Dee uses an array of potions and elixirs she makes for every skin type and need, based on over 30 years of studying and practicing her art. Beyond skin care she is the queen of releasing a sense of personal pleasure for her clients. As the three layer mask is working its magic on my face she massages my neck and shoulders releasing tightness and pain I've created by working at the computer and making my art every day. I said to her after my time with her last week, "Dee Dee, I just realized that you give all of yourself in your work. I feel the passion, the intensity and the care in everything you do." To that she responded, "I hope you feel the love." Yes! that's what it is, I feel her love. She couldn't do what she does without seeing beauty where I do not, and responding with her special of brand of love. I leave her 'palace' feeling good about myself, and ready to face the world-- and mirrors again--with joy. read more

Jennifer is a gem find! I booked Jennifer for both a trial before my wedding and for my wedding day. She was so flexible with timing, and her pricing is unbeatable for the area. Both my mom and I were completely satisfied with our spray tans in both sessions. I wanted a very light natural looking tan so I didn't blend in with my white dress, and that's exactly what I got! No orange fear! I highly recommend Jennifer for any special occasion. read more

The Skin Prophecy team is wonderful - all are so sweet. I had my facial with Katie and she was the best - best facial in town! She's extremely informed, great at explaining, uses organic products that really work, and really gets you to relax. Overall the experience was 10/10. I'd recommend to anyone, first time or regular, to go visit her - you're going to find a new regular facial location! read more

I see Katie at Skin Prophecy and I couldn't recommend her enough. She's the best in the biz. She knows everything about skin and customizes each visit for my current needs. I absolutely trust her recommendations and have seen huge improvements since I started seeing her last year. The products are also great but I love that Katie is in my best interest and realistic about what I actually need to buy/be using. She truly care about her clients and loves her work. I feel so lucky to have her in town! read more

I love going to Katie Gates for my skin care needs. She is so knowledgeable when it comes to anything skin. She gives the best recommendations to keep your skin healthy and clear of any mishaps. The microdermabrasion is my all time favorite! Best of all the machine they have is SO HIGH END that is doesn't hurt one bit. The skin care products they sell there are top grade. My favorite product... Drench Moisturizer read more

I was so nervous about getting a facial, but then several friends mentioned Katie at Skin Prophecy so I decided to give them a try. I am so glad I did! Katie took the time to listen to my skin concerns and really paid attention when I said that my skin was sensitive. She is always careful to use products that won't cause a reaction & always watches carefully to make sure that I truly don't have one. I highly recommend getting the hydro-facial and asking for a jelly mask! The hydro-facial is a little more expensive, but definitely worth it, at least every once in awhile. I also get microdermabrasion here and I have not had some of the same reactions as my friends have from getting it at other places. They also have their own skin care lines and makeup, and sell makeup that considered 'clean'. I didn't realize I was using such heavy products on my face until I started using theirs! I seriously cannot say enough about this place!! Thank you for making my skin glow! :) read more

Dee Dee is amazing! My she and her products have been so important in helping with my teen's face. Dee Dee is great at not only the work she does but the way she educates- She really does care and takes the time to explain what's going on and how to care for your skin at home. The products are not cheap but I have to say, they actually work. I highly recommend!!! read more

Dee Dee and Skin Prophecy has been a godsend to our family and our skin for years! Her skin products are extraordinary (best face serums/washes and lip balm ever!) and her retail shop always has something classy and/or cozy and compelling to procure. Dee Dee takes great care of you in every stage of the process, whatever treatment- explaining the natural essence of her products, spoiling you with warm hand mittens and lotions, scalp massages and personalizing any treatment your skin needs. I've lived up in San Francisco with hundreds of facialist/spas and Skin Prophecy is where I look forward to visiting every time I"m back home in Santa Barbara! I have only received facials from Dee Dee, but have heard great things about the other estheticians at Skin Prophecy also. Treat yourself to a visit and you won't be disappointed! read more

I came to Skin Prophecy when I was experiencing my first long-lasting battle with cystic acne (at age 25...the worst!) and had tried everything I could find online. Esthetician Becky is a dream! At my initial intake, I brought in all my make up and products and she read over all the ingredients. They take a holistic approach, which I love bc so many lifestyle choices, products and things like food habits or hair products touching your face can all affect your skin. Becky was SO thorough and always gave samples for me to try their products. She never pressured me to buy anything but I did because their products are amazing (I use their face wash and moisturizer). Becky also helped me select new make up. Lastly, get a facial with Becky! It's SO relaxing, affordable and makes a huge difference. The whole experience has been so positive for me. They're about lasting changes, not quick fixes and I'm happy to say my cystic acne is gone and has been for a couple months now! I only wish I had before and after photos to share. Highly recommend. read more

Skin Prophecy's Aesthetician, Katie, is amazing! I started seeing her when I was pregnant with my first baby, and she helped keep my crazy hormonal skin in check using high quality, all natural products that were safe for my unique situation. When I have a little "me" time away from my son, I love going in for a relaxing facial and my skin always feels bright, clean and healthy when I leave. Whatever your skin care needs are, Katie is the gal to see! Give her a try, and you definitely wont be disappointed! read more

Spray tans are the best way to get that beautiful beach glow without the hazards of the sun. I have been getting my tans from Jen Herrera for several years and never disappointed. Now she offers two options, one that you leave on for six or more hours to develop and another that will develop in as little as an hour or two and more over time. Both I've tried and are beautiful every time. I highly recommend Jen if you want to be sure to get the perfect tan without the risk of streaks or a tan you aren't happy with. Most of all the product is safe and Jen is a real sweetheart. read more

I have been going to Skin Prophecy for about 6 months now getting treatments from Rebecca Estrada for my acne. I had been trying to treat it at home with natural remedies and tons of products and nothing seemed to work. Once I had my first treatment with Rebecca, I gained so much understanding and she gave me answers about my skin that I had been wondering about for a long time. She made me feel fully confident that she was going to be able to get my skin back to normal with a daily skin care regime and monthly facials including extractions, microdermabrasion and high frequency treatments. Today my skin feels smoother than it ever has and my acne has almost completely went away apart from the occasional pimple. The scars have even begun to fade and I am confident that they will only get better. Her skill and knowledge give me the comfort I need to know that I am in the right hands, and she goes above and beyond her job description to take care of anything you need. I love the product that they carry and I feel very safe putting it on my skin, and it really works!! I would recommend this skin care clinic to anyone and everyone! read more
