UNTIL I found Drift and the estheticians, Kristie and Cydney. For the first time I have found hope and experienced results from their products and their incredible facials. I have found my skin therapists!! Drift is located in a intimate space in a beautiful home design center, which immediately makes you feel unguarded and relaxed and at home. As you walk closer towards the space you begin smell the essential oils and start to feel yourself 'drift' into a cozy vibe. Their warm and friendly greetings made me feel very welcomed and I was extremely impressed by the visual concept of the room. It is clean and uncluttered, but feels very comfy and warm at the same time. They greeted me with a beverage and took time to talk to me about what was going on with my skin and what problems I am try to resolve. It felt very open and comfortable to talk to them, I actually got very emotional when opening up about my skin. They were very sensitive and made me feel safe about whats going on and provided a hopeful outcome. First impression - on point! I then got ready for my facial that was being conducted by Cydney. The bed was heated and was incredibly comfortable and the smells were very calming all around me. She explained how they were going to customize my facial according to my skincare needs and also introduced some of their electrotherapy equipment, which I have never experienced before. She started off by massaging my scalp and that helped me get into relax mode to really enjoy my facial. Her touch was the perfect amount of pressure and flow, and the way she applied the products was very graceful and not irritating. Her massaging techniques and application felt very professional and caring. I could feel the products working on my skin without burning, itching, or drying out my skin. She introduced warm towels after exfoliating and that felt amazing. While the masks worked its magic on my face, she massaged my hands and feet. She was very careful about the electrotherapy, which was used to help break down the acne by minimizing the size and redness. She made me feel very comfortable with the new equipment and walked me through it so I did it at my own comfort level. As she finished her treatment, she massaged the moisturizer on my face and gave me my last massage by working it into my neck and shoulders and scalp. Leaving me feeling rejuvenated and healed. Her overall flow from start to finish was fluid, consistent, and caring. She was very sensitive to the amount of pressure, amount of product, and the timing (never felt rushed). The product line that is used is DNA - which is a local brand produced in Ventura that is organic and focuses on CLINICALLY treating and actually fixing issues. They have incredible ingredients, one of them featuring stem cell agents that literally erases any kind of issue after one use. The thing I love most about their products is that they do not feel heavy and greasy on your skin, but you feel it powering deeply through beyond the surface of your skin. After one session, I saw actual results which was hard to believe. I took home some products and it was incredible how fast my skin was improving - especially since the rule of thumb is to wait 30 days to see your skin adjust to any product or to see any results. This took less than a week. Matching the DNA line with their equipment of electrotherapy, microdermabrasion, and some other quality equipment I can't wait to try - they work hand and hand and works miracles. Kristie and Cydney are very knowledgable about the product line and how to pair it with the appropriate equipment to make a customized experience for you. Their expertise is clear and confident and makes you feel like you are in the right place and treating your skin the way it needs to be treated. The overall experience felt like a relief and like I finally found a safe place to be open about my struggles with my skin. They provided me with comfort, confidence, and relaxation. I went to Montecito med spa to get a consult on a laser treatment and unfortunately asked them to touch up my Botox as I was remiss in scheduling with me regular clinician. A week later, I noticed that my left eyebrow was severely drooping. I called them and Kelly Ann, who treated me the week prior told me to come in. She acknowledged right away that this shouldn't have happened. She acknowledged it was mistake. I told her I was very upset. She said she would get in touch with the owner to see about a refund for the Botox. There is no treatment for what happened to me. I just needed to wait out the time until the Botox wore off. After three weeks hearing nothing from MMS, I reached out to the owner and scheduled an appointment. From the moment Karen walked in, she seemed incredibly confrontational. I assured her that I had no intention of suing them and that I just thought I shouldn't be paying to have to walk around with a drooped eyebrow for the next few months. I said that they should refund me. Karen was very aggressive and tried to re-label what happened to me as a complication as opposed to a mistake. She then suggested, implicitly acknowledging that they bore responsibility, that my next treatment be for free. Obviously, I told her I had no intention of being treated again at Montecito med spa. She continued to be very confrontational about a refund so finally I said "listen you need to run your business the way you see fit. If this is how you do business, I will definitely let people know."The below photo is after four weeks of trying to let the Botox wear off. I do find it very odd that the 50 reviews before me all used the same language, and the majority of people leaving in the reviews have only left one review in their life. Very suspicious that this business has five stars!
