I've driven by this establishment many times but didn't have any idea it was a deli or even a ravioli manufacturer! The deli gives off a very retro/vintage vibe and had meats hanging up from the ceiling. If you browse around, you'll see that they sell the same ravioli that's sold in Shop rite and offer products that were imported from Italy as well. The deli doesn't have any menu and basically how it works is that you make your own sandwich based on what they have at the moment. In the picture, I made a sandwich that included breaded chicken cutlet, roasted peppers, homemade mozzarella, prosciutto, basil, balsamic vinaigrette, and oil. It was absolutely delicious and very hearty! The ladies at the counter and the owners were very sweet.

Best Italian deli in this area. Excellent, overstuffed sandwiches made on really good bread. Many delicious homemade specialty items too from fresh mozz, long hots, pizza-gaina, sweet pies, pastas, you name it. But really the best sandwiches you can get in this area.

I got the massive chicken cutlet sandwich with prosciutto, fresh mozzarella and roasted red peppers. This fed 2 very hungry adults and a toddler for less than $20. Everything was well seasoned and the roasted red peppers melted in your mouth. We'll definitely be back!

Are you kidding?? This is outstanding. The best sandwich in recent memory. Custom sandwich: chicken cutlet, provolone, roasted peppers, balsamic vinegar on a hard roll. It was outstanding. There are two tall tables, four stools. No menu. I'd still drive out of my way to stop here. That it's an old school family run business, run by nice folks is just a double bonus. Get an order of prosciutto and wet mozzarella to go for the folks at home. They'll thank you.

One word..... Delicious..... Roast beef done on Premises.

Roast beef is made on the premises fresh hot and absolutely delicious !! It just came out from being cooked. Had it on a soft hero with lettuce & tomato with Mayo. A must have for anyone who appreciates a great roast beef hero. Clean deli & friendly staff.

Their (outdated-looking) website doesn't state that they are closed at all. The main phone number rings and rings; no outgoing message to say they are closed. Makes me wonder if they will ever re-open. When I did shop there, the prices were a little higher than a big grocery stores, which wasn't great but I was okay with to support a smaller biz and for the convenience. But the baskets were always filthy and there were some fresh, frozen and dry/shelved expired items around the store. It did seem like they were struggling to maintain the store. I do hope some improvements will be made and that it can reopen.

Very similar to the Aldi's and Lidl's that have been popping up in North NJ, it's an inexpensive supermarket that largely carries it's own products but also carries name brands of the same products. You won't have as many options if you go with said name brand of a specific product though. For example lets say you don't want Save-A-Lot's brand of Tortilla chips and you want Tostitos. OK go for it, but lets say you want Tostitos multi-grain scoops. That's not gonna happen. You'll get the main line of the big name brand as a courtesy, but their brands are the what's promoted. So how are their brands? Not bad, but not that great, somewhere in the middle. That is makes stores like this good, if brand recognition and low prices are what you're after, you'll enjoy it. The store itself has all the basics a supermarket should have, but may be shy of somethings Shoprite or Stop n' Shop may carry. This particular store is well kept and the staff are ok. It is a welcome addition to the area.

But this little farmers market is not really much to speak of. The one farm that seemed to have fresh produce had awful tasting pastries and very little produce to speak of for outrageous prices. The food trucks were nothing special. They were exceptionally overpriced. This area is slowly getting gentrified but you still have pockets of people who can barely afford to buy their normal groceries, yet the town thinks its ok to have food trucks selling $16 lobster rolls that are barely 4-5 inches long...The seller at the truck said I was the only person to buy one the entire day...I found nothing to showcase the neighborhood...nothing Caribbean. Nothing Creole. Nothing with pulled pork, no ceviche, no conch fritters. There was only one woman who had juices present and some baked goods for a decent price. The music aspect is the best part but is only for the last half hour. The rest of the booths were random institutions or banks that had nearly as much business of being at a fresh/farmers market event as you'd imagine. Meh, I'll just stick to the events in the city that make more sense. It supposedly occurs on Tuesdays throughout the Summer.

It doesn't focus on ambiance either, but it's clean enough. I will say that I once saw one of the workers who was putting bread into the bins drop a roll, pick it up off the floor, and put it back in, so that right there loses a star. Otherwise, judging it for what it is, it would get four stars. I probably wouldn't go here to do my main grocery shopping, but if you are in the area and looking to pick up a few things for a cheap lunch or something, this is a really intelligent choice, and the service is friendly, so you can really go budget here and enjoy a decent lunch on the cheap by picking up a roll (I know, I know.) and one or two of those $1 cold cut packs, maybe grab a drink, and you're good. Especially in this day and age, this is a place that allows you to be able to afford a meal very much on the cheap, and that to me is quite valuable because people need to eat. So yeah, if they were a little more sanitary or a lot more sanitary when it comes to not throwing dropped bread rolls back into the bin, this would be a solid four stars for me. Might sound crazy, but I do still recommend it.
