One of the riders in our group broke a bolt on each of his shocks on his softail. Cost $$$ to have it hauled Andrae's. They told him it was not fixable, to just load it up and take it home. Not an option! While waiting for a ride he screwed 1 of the broken bolts out with his thumb laying in the parking lot! Don't think I would trust them to change my oil! read more

I was traveling from Tennessee to Central Illinois to attend my Dad's 98th birthday surprise party when I stopped for gas. As I tried downshifting on my Triglide the shift lever was all the way down on the floorboard and wouldn't shift. I limped into a gas station and used the Harley GPS to find the nearest dealer and Andrae's in Urbana Illinois came up. I called them and explained what happened and they knew right away what the problem was and said they were on the way with a trailer. In a half hour they were there and loading up the bike. Within a half hour we were at the dealership and they started working on it. Half an hour later I was back on my way and was more than happy with the cost. If you're ever in the Champaign-Urbana area stop in and visit...I couldn't recommend them any higher. Oh, and yes, we made it to the party...these people are true heroes. read more

This is a 50 plus year dealership that started out very small and built up for decades of great service to the community. This review would be negative stars if possible. The only good thing about Andrea's is Rob in Parts. This dealer is 5% higher in price on bikes. The staff is rather lazy. Lynn has dropped the ball numerous times. She is an owner yet forgets to follow through on things. Have talked to many locals who have had troubles there also in all departments. We stopped by while traveling and I have to say this is one of the best Harley dealerships I have been in. My husband was approached by the owners husband and he was really nice and down to earth. The owner is very friendly and did not seem bothered when answering questions like other dealerships I have been in. The clothes selection was great as well. I am a bigger lady and it is always hard to find clothes but not here. I found new items and clearance items in my size which is really rare. If you are ever driving through Urbana you have to stop in and visit. I would go out of the way just to stop in again next time we are traveling north through Illinois. read more

I felt I was taken by the businesses department when I was sold my heritage softail. I had 10,500 down on a 19,000 motorcycle and was sold gap insurance. For this reason I can not recommenced this dealer to anyone I know. They are the closest dealer to me but my next purchase will be elsewhere maybe Chucks in Bloomington after being taken. On the positive side my salesman was fantastic but sad to say he is no longer there. read more

I took my '05 Sportster for some maintenance. I wanted to have the pros check it out (change oil/check brakes) before the riding season really gets rolling to do the oil and check brakes. Initially, I thought the quote for oil and inspection was a little high, but I feel I received a good value. Upon return, the bike starts and idles way better, the choke knob operates better, and I feel good that everything else was checked to be in proper working order. I enjoyed my visit just browsing and shootin' the breeze with staff in the main shop as well. Friendly and knowledgeable place, including the parts guys who I've ordered through in the past. Okay, you always expect everything Harley to be over-priced. That's they way it is. Harley has a cache that few other brands have and people are willing to spend the bucks. Sometimes the bike itself is the cheapest purchase when you consider all the accoutrments of being a Harley rider. Andrae's facility on Lincoln is huge but don't mistake size as a yardstick for sales and service. The old facility had charm and intimacy and was a place to congregate. This is strictly a business now. I give credit to how Lynn, Randy, and some of the other old timers manage to remember names even after years of absence. That's a good sales policy. Andrae's also is supportive of charities, a definite plus. I've always enjoyed my experiences there, from my first bike years ago to my current one. All my servicing has been done there. I'd recommend the place to any harley rider or anyone looking to buy one or buy gifts for the Harley rider in their life. I just miss the little place on Main street where it all started for me and all the gang that used to gather there. read more
