Extremely disappointed by our experience with this towing company during an already traumatic situation for my family. After 2 of my sons were involved in a serious rollover accident, this company was called to tow their vehicle. We showed up the very first day with cash in hand, expecting to retrieve both the vehicle and essential personal belongings. Instead, we were refused access to everything, including my son's wallet and his prescription glasses, which he cannot see without. We were told these items were being held as "collateral," which is highly questionable and, to my understanding, may not even be legal. We were then told they could not provide a total cost until they heard back from an out-of-state owner (which they told us probably wouldn't be until the following day), delaying everything further while they continued to charge $85 per day in storage. This unnecessary delay felt very intentional. On the second day, we were quoted an outrageous $2,400. After contacting other towing companies in the Bozeman/Belgrade area, it became clear that this was FAR above the standard rate. When this was challenged, the price quickly and inconsistently dropped from $2,400 to $1,750, and then down again to $1,250. That kind of drastic fluctuation does not inspire confidence and raises serious concerns about how pricing is being handled. It has also been brought to our attention that there may be employees potentially inflating charges or skimming money off the top. Based on our experience, that concern does not seem unfounded. To make matters worse, the customer service was completely unacceptable. The woman answering the phone was consistently rude, dismissive, and openly unprofessional, particularly toward my daughter-in-law. In a situation involving a serious accident, a basic level of empathy and professionalism should be expected; neither was present. I have also learned that this company had previously been removed from the Montana towing rotation list, due to similar complaints. It is unclear why they have been allowed back on. Overall, this experience felt 100% dishonest, disorganized, and predatory. I strongly urge others to proceed with extreme caution, verify all pricing upfront, and document every interaction if you are forced to deal with this company. There are too many good, honest towing companies in this area, to use this scammy one. We will also be taking our complaint to the city. Thanks for showing us how NOT to run a business! read more

Towing prices are unregulated in MT so maybe it's common to get fleeced for the simplest of towing but 700$ just to hook and unhook a car is robbery. Email system is only from HQ in Billings (we were in Bozeman) and timeliness and help was atrocious. Gave two stars because the workers were very nice but bound by poor management and process. When we got in a rollover anderson towing were the ones on scene, after an hour or more of waiting and against our choice took our truck to impound. Then two days later on a Friday an hour after close wouldn't take payment until Monday. They charge 85 dollars a day. Forced us to pay a couple days extra. This is understandable but definitely isn't a good or friendly way to do business. Unfriendly on the phone and definitely didn't provide much information without having to pry or repeat myself. I almost never leave reviews but I felt it necessary in this case. I understand we all need money but this is a case of greed in my opinion. Be careful using Anderson towing. I'm sure they are great for somethings but not helping out the small guy that's for sure. read more

three weeks ago my fiance was in a terrible rollover accident with my brother in law. both hospitalized, traumatized and trying to regroup and deal with the car. we called to double check and make sure his car was being stored at anderson, and was immediately met with an absolutely disgusting toned woman who sounded as if she read off of a script. told me it would be $85 and a few little fees. got to the yard and was met by the man at the front desk and he scoffed and laughed in my face as i brought up the $85 and said "it's NOT going to be that low" so that REALLY set the tone. argued back and forth about my finances glasses being in the vehicle and finally with a LOT of push, were able to get the glasses. HOWEVER- the man at the front desk retrieved my fiances glasses HIMSELF which is NOT LEGAL. the father of the man at the desk (assuming he's a driver or something) CALLED HIM OUT FOR IT IN FRONT OF US. (also have photos of him in the vehicle if i get any push about lying ) as if the money isn't a sham enough, they clearly have no idea what the law is either. these people are rude, incompetent, and VERY slimey. will try to steal from you in your lowest moment, and not care one bit. the lack of compassion, integrity and basic human decency runs deep throughout this absolutely vile establishment, and if you can avoid them all together, do it. read more

I'm glad to see that Anderson towing is getting their due by overcharging exorbitant charges for towing service. We and hundreds of others have been overcharged ridiculous amounts of money for towing and along with that, you get horrible and very rude service to go with it. Horrible customer service. The receptionist is incredibly unhelpful and bitter, and she will just accuse you of being rude if you are calling to ask questions. also, they will make you wait 90 minutes, then come and half finish a job and leave you with a disabled car. read more

I got a flat tire on the I90 pass between Bozeman and Livingston, with my two small children in the car. Anderson Towing answered my call, and had James (in the autism awareness truck) there in less than 30 minutes. He was very communicative, kind, and knowledgeable, and he clearly made safety a priority. He also got the job done quickly, and the spare tire got us to our destination. This tow company must love taking advantage of insurance companies. $3000.00 to move a vehicle less than 3 miles. Then not giving anyone access to the vehicle for 3 days. Called multiple times to be able to get the keys to my house out of the vehicle. Get some answering service in Billings saying they would leave a message for someone at their Belgrade location to call back. They never did! So had to incur another expense to have a locksmith come open my door to my house. Would never recommend this towing company to anyone! Asked about a missing pair of Oakley sunglasses, then asked to speak to a manager and was told I couldn't! read more

I am so grateful for James at Anderson Towing. I managed to get my van and uhaul trailer stuck on a dirt road and nothing I did could get it going again. James called me just moments after I requested roadside assistance and told me exactly when he would arrive. He carefully assessed the situation and shared what he was going to do. He not only got me unstuck but he followed me back to the main road. James is amazing - he was kind, professional and incredibly patient with a freaked out old lady (me). read more

This cold snap zapped our battery completely, and we had to use roadside assistance. Anderson Towing traveled all the way from Belgrade to Butte in artic temperatures to get our vehicle started, because local services were not available. Their truck broke down, so they were a little later than what was expected, but the communication was great and we weren't left wondering. Once their vehicle was fixed (again, communication was fantastic), they headed right to us. The gentleman who helped us was awesome! Anthony was courteous despite the string of bad luck events, and was quick and efficient. He was awesome!! Our car was not only frozen but also apparently out of gas. Anthony was quick to bring some gas and was able to get the car started without any further incident. I am very impressed with the level of professionalism and concern he showed for us, and I would recommend this service to anyone who needs help. read more

These people lie ......they told me that I had to have my vehicle towed to the yard because of the law !!!! According to police I did not have to!!!!!! They held it for three days and charged me!!!!!! I would get any other towing company to help you !!! read more
