(I think that's funny, but only because I live in a much warmer climate.) There is a large bus station here and covered access to one of the nearby office buildings. The platform itself is well covered from the elements. It's an "island" platform, meaning that you're standing between the two sets of tracks on either side. "Next train" boards are mounted and easy to read. Automated ticket vending machines are available and easy to operate. The C-Train is a "proof of purchase" system, meaning that you must have a validated ticket any time you are inside the fare area. I haven't seen any ticket inspectors in the times I rode the train, but I'm sure they exist.

Sunnyside Station is the first station after the free zone and is also the first station northwest…read moreof downtown. So if you are heading toward Tuscany or downtown, you would pass by this station. The station is located close to Kensington. Super convenient station. It is close to all the restaurants and stores. As well, it is in front of Safeway. Great for people like me who lives beside the C-Train where I can pick up groceries easily and head back.

This is also the place you would want to get off at if you're looking for a stroll along the river, and maybe head to Prince's Island Park. It's also the last stop before downtown and the first station out for the "free fare zone" leaving downtown. ON that - This is important, especially if you're visiting during Stampede. You'll notice that Calgary's trains don't have any turnstiles - the trains are free downtown but then we like to rely on the honour system for all the stops outside of downtown, well, that and the transit cops who sometime ride the train, or more commonly, are positioned by the exit doors on stations with only one exit. Sunny Side station, however, opens to the outside world and you can exit the platform wherever. So just sayin', if you ever accidentally misplaced your train ticket, this would be a good, low-heat spot to get off. (That or Lions park and Banff Trail) Be wary though, Sunnysideis a popular spot for the train cops to get on. #TheMoreYouKnow. They've put a fair amount of work into this station in the last year. They've upgraded it to accommodate 4-car trains - I don't know when the city will be switching to this, but it looks like they're preparing! And more immediately important is that they've improved lighting in and around the station, as well as they've gotten rid of all the creepy in-the-bush hiding spots. I definitely feel like it's more safe to be at late at night with the added visibility.

The station is a hit and miss. There were a few incidents that happened here from time to time. I usually try to avoid heading Northeast or here but I will do it for Jollibee. This station does have a few homeless people sleeping here at night time. This is because they have a section that is indoor, covered and heated (where you purchase the one-time use ticket).

Another C-Train Station located outside of downtown. This is a red line station. The trains that…read morestops here are either heading toward Tuscany or Sommerset-Bridlewood. It is also known as the 201 line. It is one of the more convenient stations. The station is clean and because there are no indoor enclosed area, there are no homeless people here. It is located about 10 mins train ride from downtown. It is great for someone like me who wants to grab some quick food and jump back onto the train. There are a few restaurants within walking distance from this station. If I wanted to visit relatives, I usually pass by this station.

The Heritage Station is a C Train station heading toward Somerset-Bridlewood in the South West…read morequadrant. This is one of the few stations that is connect to the bus loop. It is convenient for people who needs to catch a bus. There are two exit here. Heritage Station is 5 mins away from the Heritage Station Development plaza. There you will find lots of restaurants, coffee shops, offices and Save On Foods. If you are heading to the Heritage Park this is also the station where you would get off.

It's a relatively good c-train station. As a student, I do get off at this stop to attend my school…read morebecause it is connected with the special max teal route in south Calgary. The station is an island platform and has only the occasional homeless man asking for money but that's it on safety wise. It is far better than Southland station (a stop south of heritage) because I feel more safe and comfortable when around more students going to school or MRU ( which is connected to the max teal line) In the bus loop area there are a bunch of shelters and also a ton of bus routes going in all directions. It can get pretty busy at the station and on the trains in the morning around 7-9 ish and in the afternoon at around 3-5 ish during the rush hours. It's a really nice station and I do recommend it more than southland

It seemed like there are quite a bit of negative news happening about this station on TV each year. But again, there aren't a lot of things to do or see around the Rundle area. There is no reason for me to come or to stop at this station. Of course other than food.
