We have been with them for quite a few years now and the owners are not the same at all from what they were when we initially started with them. This is upsetting as I have paid in full and now have to find somewhere else to go due to their lack of concern for their patients (my child). It is truely sad that she & Dr. Shell are more concerned about a mask rather than a child who has chunks of white puss coming from sores due to a wiring problem that needs to be fixed. It should not be stressful going to the Orthodontist. They dont deserve 1 star.

Most times it was hard to get her to even go back to the dentist because she just didn't want to be in that pain. She understood there would be some pain but not to the extent she was in. She would say I think they drilled or did something too hard. The pieces of the braces often fell off in her mouth. She was careful about what she ate like gum, candy and other foods that could damage the braces but these things still occured. My older child had gotten braces from a place in Lynchburg, VA and never had any of the problems with their braces that my other child ended up having. It's up to you where you go but just do your research and make sure this is the right place for you because even with good customer service we sometimes overlook the real service we should be getting.

Overall, the clinical care was acceptable; however, I felt that Dr. Patel could have been more reassuring, especially for patients like me who are going through this type of treatment for the first time. It is important for both staff and providers to take the time to explain procedures and billing thoroughly, and to offer reassurance to patients who may feel uncertain or anxious. Greater care and communication in this area would help patients feel more confident and supported.
