Instead of the endless sales pitch, he walked me through the options and recommended the best solution based on what I actually needed. I turned to Yelp and found this company and sent them a note for a quote. Early next morning I get a text to set up an appointment. They sent a fair price and wanted to set up an appointment for the following Monday from 10-noon. "5" stars to this point. I scheduled some personal time to be home for the appointment. This is where it gets a bit hairy. At 12:20 I send a text to see if they are still coming. Response back is that tech was delayed and will be there in about an hour. 2:08 pm I send a note to see if everything is okay? Another apology and they think he is almost done at the job before mine. ETA of 30-40 minutes or an offer to re-schedule. Cannot really reschedule since I took time off. 3:20pm I send a note that no tech has showed up. He arrives about 5 minutes later. Tech has the job done in about 40 minutes. I go to pay him and he tells me he doesn't have the ability to take Venmo or a check. I reach out to the anonymous text and am told they can take a CC for a 3% fee. Woof. Instead they email me a bill and I go find a checkbook and a stamp. The actual spring replacement was great and quick. I really didn't like being the one chasing down my appointment and felt that if someone is going to be late (or late again, or again) they should be reaching out to me.

It's right across the street from USU, and because it's up on a hill, the views are great. Many student apartments were much older and looked worn down. 800 Block is newer. It has an open floor plan and updated appliances. Apartments have two dishwashers and two refrigerators. It's nice to have covered parking. There's also a large game room, areas for student study, bbq grills, and a hot tub. As for customer service, the staff is right on top of any problem. The front desk staff is always willing to help or find someone who can help. This is my second summer here.

They even gave us a tour and showed us the exact room that we would move into. Around two months after we signed, they reached out to him only and told him that they could not fill a coed apartment. They moved me into a different room (without telling me) in which I would have to share a bathroom despite the fact that I had originally signed for a private room with a private bathroom. I requested that they move me to a different apartment so I could have my own bathroom and they told me that the only room they could move me into was coed. This made absolutely no sense considering they told my friend that they couldn't fill coed rooms and we could no longer live together, but I agreed. When I moved into my apartment the door handle was broken. I could not shut my bedroom door at all. Eventually I requested to move rooms again so that I could actually close my door. It took a month to plan where I would move, and they fixed my door the day I moved rooms. In my new room I was woken up early in the morning by maintenance. They gave me no warning that they would be coming and they told me that I had to move everything out of my bathroom if I didn't want sheet rock on it. They gave me about 5 minutes before I was told I needed to leave so they could cut a hole in my ceiling because construction workers had dropped a screwdriver in the pipes, causing them to be backed up. The smell in my room was atrocious until they finished covering up/painting they hole they created. Once you move in it is obvious that the apartments were cheaply made and rushed. The staff has always been kind to me, but their communication is lacking. They will tell you to move out of your apartment with little to no notice. 800 block's parking is absolutely awful. It is narrow, expensive, and the pipes leak more often than not. There was only one custodian and maintenance that I know of and the buildings were often dirty. So many negative things occurred while I lived here, I'm sure I probably forgot some details. The only good thing about 800 Block is its proximity to campus. Do yourself a favor and look into every other housing option. My photos show the parking garage, the elevator doors on the inside, and my bathroom while they worked on it.

My experience with Conservice has been frustrating and inconsistent. I was repeatedly directed to…read moreConservice for answers on both the electric true-up and the RUBS allocation issues, but after speaking with Alexandra on 4/29/26, I was told that my earlier tickets had been closed by property management, that Conservice does not have the master water/sewer or steam bills, does not have the RUBS allocation tables, and is not the bill collector for disputed corrections. While Alexandra was helpful and opened new ticket #2716114, the overall process exposed a serious lack of transparency, poor coordination with Fairstead, and no clear chain of responsibility for explaining or resolving the charges.
