I have a fear of the dentist like most people and I recently broke a tooth so I came in today before it got to bad and they were able to save the tooth and crown it which was amazing! The level of professionalism and excellent customer service have been outstanding and I highly recommend Mason Dental. They also have the latest technology and are able to make crowns onsite which means you can get it done all in a few hours. Remember the hardest part is getting in the chair, once you are here at Mason Dental they will take care of the rest!

Be very cautious - all about money, not the patient…read more I visited Mason Dental for a new patient exam after calling ahead and confirming that my insurance will most likely be covered. I was told that insurance would be verified and that they would submit everything for a coverage estimate prior to treatment. After my exam and X-rays, I was informed that I had periodontal disease and would need scaling and root planing. I was also told I had approximately nine cavities and was strongly encouraged to proceed with laser treatment that was not covered by insurance. At no point did I feel I was given clear, conservative options or a breakdown of urgency versus elective procedures. The initial visit resulted in a $200 charge, and I was quoted approximately $800 for the recommended deep cleaning. Because the diagnosis felt significant, I sought a second opinion as I've never had periodontal issues and receive regular cleanings (I worked in the dental industry for years). At another dental office, I was told that I do not have periodontal disease and do not need scaling and root planning cleanings. Their review of my X-rays showed no signs supporting that diagnosis, aside from two isolated pockets near areas where my wisdom teeth had previously been extracted. Then was informed I have two areas on my molars that needed very small fillings on the occlusal areas. They were shocked my Mason Dentals treatment plan! Based on this second opinion, I'm concerned about the difference in diagnoses and the treatment plan I was given. I would recommend getting a second opinion before proceeding with Mason Dental.

I asked SO many questions and got honest answers. I was told the benefits and drawbacks of thing I've been interested in; such as teeth whitening and/or bleaching, how cavities form, etc. Every step of the way when anything changed in what was expected as services done they would have a receptionist come and tell me how that changes the cost. They accepted my insurance (Guardian) and I was charged only $28 dollars. My hygienist (Eloise) verbally gave a briefing of what the next steps were before any tools or equipment were used for every step of the appointment; also, giving verbal explanations of everything she was doing while performing the services. She also answered all my questions and had great bedside manners and conversational abilities. Doctor Yuri Sirotinski also had amazing bedside manners and it felt more like talking to a friend than a degree. He answered all my questions and was very honest about pros and cons in every situations I asked about. Dr. Yuri told me he was much more conservative than aggressive when it came to treatment; preferring preventative and restorative approach over intrusive fillings and surgeries at the earliest sign of a potential cavity. Best dentist appointment I've ever had, definitely making this my home for all my dental needs. TLDR: The communication, bedside manners, honesty, and approach to treatment are superb!

I understand their policy is to have a consult before getting a cleaning or any other work done, but their estimate was largely inflated compared to the two offices I visited since. I would not recommend this office unless you plan on selling an organ to cover the cost of your visit.

FULL DISCLOSURE: I was Dr. Perry's 1st FULL TIME Dental…read moreHygienist for many years, since 2009. My husband received a job offer in Austin, TX, which forced us to relocate and for me to give up my position with one of the greatest dentist and families ever! Many of the reviews you read on here are about his dental work, office staff and atmosphere he provides for his patients, BY HIS PATIENTS! I am here to write about the experience he provides for his TEAM. Because you can read the over 140+ Google Reviews about his practice to know you have made the right decision by choosing Dr. Perry as your dentist. I want to tell you what happens behind the scenes. Dr. Perry, his wife (Cara) and daughter (Brynn), bring HEART to the practice. They are generous, fun, and a genuinely caring family that put their practice, staff, and patients first. By doing so, the staff you are greeted with are a reflection and extension of them. We are all human and all have unique personalities, just like any group would, but there is something about working for (and being a patient of) Dr. Perry's team that makes you feel you are part of something special. They make you feel like FAMILY!!! Maybe it's the combination of his love for his family, the Texas Rangers, TCU, and gardening. Maybe it's his background of growing up in Christian schools, singing with the Texas Boys Choir, traveling the world as a child or simply pride in his work that makes him who he is, but whatever it is it's rare! Moving to Austin, I was sad to leave a practice that set a very high bar for all other practices. A bar so high, I haven't been able to plant roots in a practice here yet, even though the offers have been numerous. I miss working with The Perrys and his team, my dental family. So much so, I committed 6 months ago to working 3 more weeks with them this August while his new Full Time Hygienist is on vacation in Australia. So, I hope this helps anyone considering choosing Dr. Perry as their family dentist. Thank you for letting me give you a different perspective. (And NO, he is NOT paying me to say this.) Can't wait to see you all soon!!! Joanne Martinez, RDH, Bachelor of Science Baylor College of Dentistry DH Class of 2003
