Sabor In The Hunter Dessert Bar - One moment quiet, the next this. Popular and for good reason.

Wine matches listed from local suppliers if you feel like pairing the two. The dessert menu itself isn't that large in comparison to the variety on display. Apparently 50 or more options so everyone should be satisfied. Choosing however is the real struggle. Aesthetics are taken seriously here with popping colours and intricate designs. Macarons, tarts, mousse, pastries and more in all shapes and sizes. I was very impressed and smiling from ear to ear at my partner. He chose the chocolate and hazelnut cone which wasn't to my taste but I'm hit and miss with hazelnut. I picked the biku banoffee for its generous size and promise of fresh banana, dulce de leche and Chantilly cream. I was only let down by my inability to finish it. Absolutely delicious! Our bill came to $52 for the two desserts and an English breakfast tea which I didn't bat an eyelid paying at the counter. We sat down and after 5 minutes the man that took my order came over with $18 change and apologised that our order had been added to the lady before me. I had no idea but was happy they picked up on the mistake and didn't trouble me that I payed by card and simply gave me the difference in cash. If you are visiting The Hunter Valley this is an absolute must! You won't be disappointed.

Terrific central location. Different from the norm accommodation. Not one large building as you may expect in Sydney for instance; instead they were like huts that were spread out across the property. Ours was split diagonally offering separate stays either side. We stayed in a one bedroom with kitchenette, small lounge/dining section and a bathroom with shower over spa. Had a bit of a strong cleaning smell when we first arrived and the patio area (with table and chairs) smelled like someone didn't make it to the toilet. Number 1 that is! But it could have been the wildlife. Was nice to watch a few kangaroos and a sunset on our first night. Complete with swimming pool and the Tuk Tuk restaurant (not quite sure on opening hours). The late check out of 12pm was a blessing. I'd happily return.

My boyfriend and I stayed here in May 2012 and heard about this place through Groupon. We got a…read moredeal which included accommodation, daily breakfast, a cheese platter and wine. The cheese platter was small but it was OK. I didn't expect too much from it anyway. This place are serviced apartments, not hotels so it is little apartments all spread out on ground level. We picked up the keys from the front desk and drove to our apartment. Not all the apartments are close to the entrance. Our apartment faced the back of the property where there was a lake and a lot of open space. One afternoon we saw kangaroos hopping around which was amazing! They were wild but we got close enough to take photos. The sun set nicely over the lake and it was a lovely view. The room was a one bedroom apartment and it was clean. There was a bathtub and a normal shower. There was a sofa bed in the lounge as well as a dining table. There was also chairs outside. The kitchen is fully equipped (nothing fancy) and there were pots and pans to use to cook. There wasn't anything to clean the dishes with (no sponges / detergent) which was weird. The breakfast was quite large and hearty and I was glad for it to be included in our deal. Unfortunately i can't remember how much our package cost but it was good value for money and I would go there again. Leisure Inn is just near Tempus Two which has great dessert wine! Would recommend!

Looking for that perfect dining place with breathtaking views in the Hunter Valley? I highly…read morerecommend Epicure Café. This café is nicely nestled and hidden amongst nature's beauty. There are both indoor and outdoor covered terrace dining areas, overlooking a large dam. We wanted something simple, yet delicious for lunch, and as a family we selected the good ol' fish 'n' chips. But our dish wasn't your ordinary fish and chips that you would buy at your local fish 'n' chips place, this was cleverly accomplished with a twist of sophistication to tantalise your taste buds. But let me start from the beginning. When we arrived, we were greeted by a friendly waitress there immediately and showed us to our table - we were impressed with the table size as well, wide enough and comfortable for plates and arm room. We started with warm sour dough bread that included extra virgin olive oil, home-made dukkah and caramelised balsamic - ever so delicious, love warm bread. A perfect start, that commonsense tells you that you wouldn't be disappointed with lunch. Okay, our fish 'n' chips arrived, served irresistibly on a plate - three decent sized fish fillet pieces covered in herb and white wine batter with aioli and French fries cooked to perfection! The batter was so light and crispy and dipping it into the creamy aioli gave that impact I was looking for! We also had a very tasty salad on the side - the taste was so fresh and appearance was so colourful with your tomato and cucumber pieces, red onion sliced finely, and your green leafy lettuce (local produce) in a beautiful vinaigrette dressing. The chef even made time to come out to see if we were satisfied with our dishes - I never had that happened to me before! The meal filled us up, we couldn't go for desserts. However, there is a variety of cakes displayed inside a glassed refrigerator within the dining area taunting you to choose if you have enough room - all homemade of course. This café is a must to dine at if you're looking for a delightful, delectable, delicious lunch with amazing views. Or perhaps breakfast or a cuppa coffee or tea with a piece of their homemade cakes? Opened 7 days from 9am to 5pm. I highly recommend this café for couples, families or friends - great food, great service with amazing views and relaxing atmosphere.
