This gem is along the strip at Warners Bay and boasts some great news clips of their success, and rightly so. Evidently judged best new restaurant in The Hunter for 2016 on the Monday before ANZAC day we snagged the last table for lunch in this upmarket and well positioned cafe.
The menu is broad with something for everyone with the now eponymous burgers featuring heavily on the menu but plenty of salads and wraps and other goodies too. Coffee is Campos and served strong, for unlike the tea which regrettably was dishwater and really the only thing we could fault.
Despite being flat out the food came quickly and the staff are friendly and helpful. Clearly popular with locals it was literally packed with folks waiting for tables.
My selection a Wagyu burger was great, with cheddar and crispy bacon along with a side of rustic fries and some garlicky aoli dipping sauce. Her chickpea and lentil salad was supposed to come with a pattie but seemed like it had been broken up. Still tastes pretty good by all accounts.
With a great view, nice footy, good coffee and food and friendly staff hard to fault. read more
