Pretty amazing place. Gabriel is very knowledgeable and honest. Have been doing business here for almost 10 years and never a problem.

We were out and about procuring some art objects for my husband's sculptures and while heading home…read moresaw Foothill Antiques at the corner where the beautiful bougainvillea peeks out at you on Greeley. I have always liked going inside the older buildings in Old Downtown Tujunga. Desiree is great especially as she told us she grew up locally and knows many of our Tujunga Sunland businesses and friends. There are items of all sort: all nicely organized in the 2 rooms and a foyer. My husband found some pieces to add to his new projects. I found a wood painting of a pastoral scene that looks just like Wisconsin to place in my windowless office. Very reasonable. There are all sorts of art pieces, furniture, glassware, porcelain, wood figures, household items, tools, containers, shelf units, frames, mirrors, ladders (one I would love to put my epiphyllum plants on one of these days), books, and pottery. I was thrilled to find a perfect Stanley thermos. Being a 1950s girl I grew up carrying a real glass lined thermos to events and school. I love having one of these babies to keep water or coffee in my car on my commute too. Desiree will check out estate sales and look for items you may want. I just love being in a community where we can walk to all sorts of businesses and meet up with owners. I definitely plan on being back often. For now Desiree is keeping the shop open on Fridays and Saturdays. Parking on the streets around the shop is super easy.

I was turned onto the store by a craigslist ad and was not expecting much from the store but had to go thru the store 3 times until I had settled on a number of items from varied eras. From tools to kitchenware, housewares, art and more I am looking forward to a trip back in a couple of weeks.

I'm so excited and I just can't hide it…read more My hubby found this place for me when he was randomly passing it by early Sunday morning (by chance, and luckily for me, the 3rd Sunday of the month... the only day they have it). He knows I'm a sucker for swap meets, thrift stores, yard sales and the like ; ) All in all, it's definitely smaller than many other meets but this one had tons of stuff that I could have potentially bought... because buying it all would have been ridiculous. As it was, I left with a set of un-freaking-believable vintage/industrial/mid-century modern type swiveling bar stools that I utterly adore... for next to nothing... literally... I can't even tell you how little I paid because you may then expect to go and get the same deal... which was awesomely ridiculous and unlikely to be attained ever again... basically free. As for my other finds, I found an awesome bamboo table base that was simply dyeing for me to smack a slab of glass on top of for... $8!! The hubby even landed a fat textbook sized Jaques Cousteau book for $5 ($85 online!)... what?! I'm so not kidding, this place is a definite new fave and will be frequented every 3rd Sunday of the month. PS - $2 entrance fee per car (although $1 if you check in first... I have my deal saved for next time!) and the parking garage is huge so that's not a problem at all.

We met some very sweet vendors today: I give them credit for hauling all their old stuff out to…read morethis meet. They also deserve haloes for sitting for so many hours listening to a very monotone old cowboy singer who seemed to twang fifteen versions of the same song. I found a fun guy from a shop on San Fernando Road who had interesting costume jewelry for my husband's art sculptures, two really great guys who had some pretty great vinyl- in face there are more people selling records here than anywhere else we have been. I got 3 of their records for $3 each. One other younger guy had records and his math was waaay worse than mine. I walked up with a record and said I'll give you $3 for this one and he said- no $2..... We got a chuckle on that one. Most of the items are really meh and cheap or nice but overpriced. Good place for toy trucks, glassware, tie clasps, old hand tools and seriously good for vinyl. Please organizers; We would love some reggae or a more modern band and you have got to send that long haired singer on his way....
