As always, we asked Yelp what was good around the area, and Sanderson's Tabern was one of the best reviews, that was close by, and affordable. I called to ask if it was ok to bring a 5 year old child and they said of course, so, we headed there. The ride there was adorable, up and down hills, with beautiful houses. When we got there, we were warmly welcomed by the bartender Anthony, who promptly took our orders. Ordered beer on tap, that was surprisingly inexpensive, and my son and I had hamburgers, and my husband had the cheesteak, with sweet potato fries. My hamburger was the best hamburguer I ate in years, and I eat them very often. My husband was very pleased with the cheesesteak, and my son ate all of his meal, which NEVER happens. The place is amazingly clean, and we wish we found it a few days ago, so we could go at night and check it out when it's full of locals. Again, props to the bartender Anthony, who was friendly, and warm, and made our lunch even better! We will definitely come back next year on our vacation!

She asked whether we wanted a booth or table; when we said booth, she abruptly tossed four menus onto a nearby table and walked away without a word. We stood in the middle of the dining area assuming she was coming back to wipe down a booth, but she never returned. The single star is for our server, who immediately read the situation, asked if we'd been abandoned, and then provided excellent, attentive service. She was professional and kind and deserved far more credit. Unfortunately, the hostess's attitude set a terrible tone and should not be what guests encounter in a customer-facing role.
