I hired Melinda to list my home for sale. She was nice and seemed like she had a lot of experience…read more Once the 'ink was dry' on the listing contract, however. things changed. She began barking orders at me like a drill sergeant. Her office partner brought a 'buyer' in less than 12 hours, which seemed a bit odd. He was nice, however. During the entire process Melinda's behavior was that of a buyers agent, so there were two buyers agents and no one representing me. In the end, the 'buyer' had a hissy fit because I would not replace part of the roof, which did not need replacing. Melinda emailed me that the buyer had terminated and at this point I said fine. This was in writing. I cancelled the offer I had made on another home. Then I got frantic emails from Melinda saying the buyer had 'changed her mind'. Too late. With the help of the Manager broker the Termination of the offer was recorded and I cancelled my listing with that office. Beware, and 'BE AWARE" when dealing with her. Note- she intentionally listed my house at at least 20K UNDER the median selling price for my area, probably so her office buddy could dig through his rolodex of 'buyers' who didn't have enough money to buy my house if she had listed it a a fair price for ME. For shame, for shame.

It was a touch market in 2007, and she helped us make just the right offer to win and get the house of our dreams. I was in Boston and unable to travel, so I never even saw the house before owning it. It was perfect. When I got divorced, we needed to sell that house, and, again, she was phenomenal. This was a wild market in 2021, and she helped us prep the house for sale, evaluate offers and sell the house for nearly $70,000 above list. It went in five days. Finally, after living in an apartment for 18 months, I decided I was ready to start looking again. Within a week, Dava helped me find exactly the house I was looking for in Southtown and was a phenomenal negotiator. I got the house for $10k under list and also got $1,000 from the seller towards closing costs to pay for a repair even though the seller had said he wouldn't make any repairs. She sent me boxes to help with the move and had the house professionally cleaned before moving in. I would recommend no one else to my friends in Corvallis who want to buy or sell a home. She is the best. I'm 100% team Dava.

Our offer was accepted and she was in full speed to assist with the inspection and lining up contractors to make necessary repairs. She did all of this while I was out of the country. Patty then negotiated very favorable terms for us when some issues were identified in the inspection. We closed this deal recently and have had no buyer's remorse at all.
