"Every summer we can rent a cottage In the Isle of Wight, if…read moreit's not too dear" (The Beatles) We had a terrific lunch at The Cottage to celebrate my granddaughter's dance recital and Father's Day. The Cottage treated the six of us beautifully. It's located in the Linden Square shopping plaza with plenty of free parking everywhere. The dining room décor is striking, with whites and blacks and gray and silver touches on the walls, artwork, and accessories everywhere. Our server Nayara was stellar, and I have to say the overall service at the Cottage was excellent, from the hostess station to the unsolicited fill ups of water and iced tea. And since I mentioned iced tea, this may have been the first time a glass of it came with an orange slice instead of a lemon. That was an unexpected, nice touch. We started off with a basket of bread that was still warm and was very good. We ordered two children's meals- the mac and cheese and chicken fingers & fries for $12 each. I should point out that one of the primary reasons we had lunch here was because she "loves" their mac and cheese, and she is quite the mac and cheese aficionado. The four adults went with a Black Bean Burger ($17) - with pico, guacamole, cotija cheese, baby arugula, brioche, sriracha aioli, and fries, a Grilled Chicken Sandwich ($17) - with provolone, grilled onion, paprika aioli, arugula, avocado, and fries, a Caprese Sandwich ($17) - with buffalo mozzarella, sun dried tomatoes, greens, pesto, balsamic, foccacia, fries, and added chicken ($5), and the La Jolla Fish Tacos ($19) - with seared cod, bibb lettuce, cabbage, crema, pico de gallo, on corn tortillas. I had the tacos and chose a side salad instead of fries to accompany the two tacos. My lunch was very good- the salad was very generously portioned with plenty of lettuce, red onion, cucumber, grape tomatoes, and croutons. The fish tacos were fantastic; I really enjoyed the cod and the crema/pico sauce. Iced teas and one coffee were $4.50 each and the Kiddie drinks were just $1, And yes, of course they carry Chocolate Milk. We all enjoyed our meals, and my granddaughter was true to her word and finished all of her mac and cheese. The Cottage gets high marks on service, food, ambience and whatever other metrics you can think of.

One of the best I've ever had. You can taste the clams through the bowl not just when biting into on and there were plenty and oh so thick Got our complimentary (with an entree) salad bar with such a wide selections of toppings Daughter and I had baked stuffed lobster with green beans. It was cooked to perfection my only note here is that the menu said was a seafood stuffing with scallops and shrimp. Couldn't find a single scallop or shrimp so it was really just a seafood stuffing Future son in law had the 10oz prime rib cooked medium rare. He gave me a taste and it was melt in your mouth tender and cooked perfectly Daughter ordered crème brûlée which was a good size portion served with whipped cream All in all it was a delicious meal at a beautiful homey feel lovely old restaurant. We were seated by the window where we could see the waterfall still going strong in this cold February night My 3rd time there and it will continue to be one of my favorites

We finally have a true scratch-made, fine dining experience in the Taunton-Raynham area. Every dish…read moremy wife and I tried was outstanding, and I will be back with the rest of my family and friends to be regulars now. The chef actually crisped up croutons in a skillet so they were warm, and it ended up being the best caesar salad I have ever had. My seafood stuffed haddock was cooked perfectly and filled with flavor. Everything that hit our table was seasoned perfectly and fresh. These are clearly high-quality ingredients prepared with care and time, and it shows--absolutely worth the price. Compared to what you'd pay in Boston, I found the pricing very reasonable. I've been hoping for a restaurant like this ever since moving here 15 years ago. Until now, I've had to drive about 35 minutes to Solstice in Kingston for a similar level of food--and at a higher cost. I'm excited to come back and explore more of the menu, especially the burger. It's almost unheard of to find a place that makes its own burger buns from scratch or uses ingredients grown at a local farm. That kind of commitment to quality and craftsmanship is what truly sets Aire apart from our other local options that all rely on frozen, prepackaged ingredients and premade sauces filled with chemicals. Most importantly, when the owner of a restaurant is also the chef and also the person actually cooking your meal, you have the rarest situation in restaurants....the best situation for quality.

We were promptly seated and served by James, who was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. He served us water and coffee, along with a couple pieces of homemade cornbread drizzled with honey while we reviewed the menu. My wife decided on the "Adverse Yaw", which was corned beef hash, thyme Vidalia onion, drizzled with Dijon cream sauce and 2 over-easy eggs. I ordered the "Hangar Queen", with that being a French Boursin 4- layer cheese omelette with corned beef hash, tomato, Vidalia onion, spinach, and mushroom. Both were accompanied by rosti potato, which is kind of like crispy shredded hash browns. To say that this was a phenomenal meal would be an understatement! It is evident that both our meals were fresh and made to order, using only the finest ingredients. The flavor was outstanding, and as such, these meals were absolutely delicious. I can confidently say that this was one of, if not the best breakfasts I've ever had! Thank you and kudos to both our server James and Chef Charles for an outstanding meal. We will surely be back soon!
