Made a quick trip through Łódź. (Note: the pronunciation is not so intimidating, how about 'wooj'). The restaurant is located in the Manufaktura shopping center. We were looking for a place to eat. This place is between Thai and Chinese restaurants but it wasn't a hard choice for me.
Jewish and Polish cultures were intertwined in Poland and share many similar dishes. The menu is big and features veal, lamb, duck and fish.
I started out with the mushroom soup. Its a little bit different than the traditional Polish version. it was clear and not creamy and had little meatballs. I had the beef cutlet with onions (a la Zyner's) It was served with potatoes and side salads. My dining companions chose the veal.
As a souvenir we each received a little figurine with a coin for good luck (see my pictures). And to top things off we got a shot as we were leaving.
Based on ambiance, food and service It was a five star experience for me. read more
