Fairly close to the main shopping street in Lodz, it's pretty much close to everything. It's down a side street which provides a little bit of privacy and calmness when the main street is full and crowded. Walking into Senoritas is like a Mexican oasis in Lodz. I ordered the Mexican cosmopolitan, which was so good I ordered 2 of them!! The tacos al pastor were created in a traditional style with pineapples. Do not miss out on this restaurant, your taste buds will never forgive you.

Finding this restaurant in Łódź was a pleasant surprise. They serve traditional Polish food, and I…read morewould eat everything we had again and again. The service was quick and easy, and the servers speak a little English. You feel as though you're sitting in an old mountain pub rather than a restaurant. It's a magnificent atmosphere in which to enjoy a Polish meal. They have a full bar, so you can order drinks with your dinner. They first brought out bread with smalec (a spread of rendered bacon fat) to start. Then, I had a cup of red beet soup, it was fabulous, just like Grandma would make. The main courses were cooked to perfection. I had the pork in a white sauce with mashed potatoes, the pork was very tender, and the sauce was a great accompaniment. My wife had the cheese and potato pierogies, which were mouth-watering, and my son had the schnitzel with a fried egg and mashed potatoes. The portions are huge, and everything was absolutely delicious. We're already looking forward to coming back the next time we're in Łódź. So if you find yourself in Łódź or in the vicinity and you are looking for an affordable, traditional Polish meal with a delightful atmosphere and delicious food, this is the place. The decor is a balanced mix of industrial hipster modern IKEA with a largely black and white color palette that I think works quite well. Clientele, at least, on a Sunday night, seemed like a mix of urban young professionals and a few older folks. Despite its cozy feel, there is some space to dance in front of the stage though the flooring is not ideal. Free wifi. There is a full bar here, though I didn't try the alcoholic drinks. That said, there's a locally made cola+orange peel flavor soda called United No. 2 that was divine. And there are four Moon Brothers sodas that seem pretty cool. Bathrooms: Generally clean and functional, but single occupancy, one each for male and female, so can be problematic if the venue is full. My female friends tell me they've got feminine hygiene products in the female bathrooms.

Wonderful Polish Food! My wife and I were heading to an…read moreItalian Restaurant around the corner from our hotel but we never made it there. We had to walk by Soplicowo to get to the Italian place and the smells coming from the kitchen wouldn't allow us to go any further so we gave up on Italian and opted for Polish. The place was busy but we were seated right away at a nice cozy table for two. We started our Soplicowo experience with a couple of shot of cherry vodka, served in icy glasses as it should be. I ordered a bowl of beetroot soup which was very tasty, the star of the soup were the dumplings, they were filled with wonderfully seasoned meat and were amazing! My wife's goat cheese salad was fresh and had a good amount of cheese with a nice dressing. With our first course we were offered a complimentary plate with bread and some kind of lard spread, I'm not sure what it is called but it had a great smokey flavor and bits of meat that may have been pork, with this came pickles and some kind of seasoned sour cream spread. A bottle of red wine was ordered to accompany our mains, I had the wild boar, very nice flavors not at all gamey, perfectly cooked in a nice rich sauce. My wife had the mushroom stuffed chicken which was cooked to a wonderful crisp on the outside but remained moist and yummy inside and filled with mushrooms with dumplings of some kind on the side. We also had a plate of the ruskie dumplings, we were stuffed at this point but managed to finish these wonderful little pockets of yumminess! After such a delicious meal we couldn't say no to desert so we split an order of apple pie with vanilla sauce, an exceptional desert to finish an exceptional dining experience! The service was great, ambience was great and the food was amazing, if we ever make it back to Lodz this will be the first place we dine!
