I brought extra outfits and accessories and Carrie Anne helped me dial it in for an unforgettable experience. It's been about 3 years since my session and I still recall it like yesterday. I am close to 60 and have never felt so good about myself - not in a vain way. I was absolutely comfortable with me. Carrie Anne has a beautiful way about her. I was really excited to attend one of the budoir parties with Mari as the photographer. Her prices…read moreseemed fair, and she assured me prior to booking my appointment for the day that she would get the photos out to me quickly, for an additional fee. It was a busy day for me and I was trying to sneakily take the photos as they were going to be a surprise gift for my hubby for our anniversary. I arrived ready to go for my appointment time, but Mari was far from ready to shoot me. I was pissed because I had carefully orchestrated my day around doing this strategically so that nothing would seem amiss to my love. After having me wait for almost 30 minutes, she was finally ready to begin the process of taking my pictures. First step was picking out the outfits. I'd brought a few as was suggested, and we picked out the ones that she thought would be best. I trusted her judgement because I assumed her to be a professional photographer. I would later learn that I should not have trusted her judgement. We shot the first outfit, and decided to split the "alloted time" for that outfit in half, so I could do a second outfit. I felt uncomfortable, and nothing she said or did made it any better. What's more, I am typically confident. However, I was at her mercy, and as I posed in the positions she'd suggested I felt that there was no way these photos could be capturing me at my best, or even flattering angles. Again, I would later learn that I should not have trusted her judgement. We made it through the outfits in what felt like record time. Turns out, it was record time. As I'd mentioned, she was running late when I arrived, but thought I wouldn't notice as she slowly started to shave shooting time off each different outfit selection's shooting time. When we reached the end of my time, 50 minutes had passed (which included 4 outfit changes, mind you). As I would later learn, hardly adequate time to get more than one good shot in each outfit. One of the offers of the party was that I could leave that day with an image from my shoot. Given her extreme tardiness, and my hurriedness, we agreed I would return the next day to go through my images and pick the one I wanted to print. When I arrived the next day, she was again nowhere near ready to interact with me. She had her assistant prepare a waiver for me to sign electronically, which was literally the only thing I found cool in the entire process of working with her. When she finally sat down with me, she had to scroll through the hundreds of photos of the other girl's whose photos she'd shot before she found the less than 60 photos she took of me. As I looked at the photos, my heart sank. I'd had so much hope that these photos would be the perfect gift to give my husband for our anniversary. She hadn't taken many photos at all. Of the photos that were taken, at least 10 were blurry--which I know happens and wasn't too disappointed with, just made it that many fewer I had to choose from. Also, while there were 4 outfits, she had taken more than 20 shots of me in one outfit, but less than 10 of me in another. The selection was heavily skewed. I left there second guessing my idea of giving him the photos, and contemplated what else I could get him. Despite paying an additional "rush" fee to receive all my images on a DVD, yet more than 2 weeks passed before she sent the DVD. When I got the DVD of the photos I was so upset! She sent 33 images. 33!!!!!!! I didn't expect that every shot would be worthy of print, but I hardly had sufficient photos to choose from. What's more, many of the photos were at bad angles, not just for my curvy body, but also for my face. There were many where my forehead was wrinkled or my eyes looked crossed because she'd told me to look off in some direction opposite the camera. Luckily, I have a friend who has photoshop and was able to help me with the images so I was still able to present them to my hubby for our anniversary. At the end of the experience I truly haven't got a single positive thing to say. I was worried before I worked with her about what the quality of the product would be, and I should have trusted my gut. I'd also like to add that when I went back the second day to go select the printed photo, a few of the girls present commented how they'd seen my photos and thought they looked great. While the compliments were kind, I was SHOCKED to learn that not only had my photos been seen by others before me, but also that other people besides me saw such intimate photos. On all fronts I found Mari to lack the professionalism that one would want, especially with such an intimate nature of photography.

I did a groupon and was really excited about my photo shoot, but was seriously disappointed. I finally got my appointment and made the grave mistake of saying i would come to her location for the shoot. I`m assuming of course that she has the set up of a professional photographer at her location. I arrive at an apartment in Vista where she clearly lives. No backdrops, lighting, props, or anything that would make her seem professional. There was a boyfriend on the back patio smoking cigarettes and a roughly 2 year old baby running around naked right near me for entire shoot. I am not comfortable in front of camera anyway and have a hard time with pulling off a natural smile. So you can imagine it was a disaster. I kept thinking the naked baby was so close to me that she was going to be in picture (so uncomfortable). It was about 5 days after valentines day and there just happened to be some dying heart balloons that belonged to her that i decided to use as prop for one look. By far the most unprofessional service i have ever gotten through groupon. I waited 2 weeks to even see pics and she sent only 33 that i was supposed to pick 20 good ones out of. Needless to say there was only one pic with decent comfortable smile and there were nowhere near 20 that i would even want. If you insist on using this unprofessional photographer, do yourself a favor and don`t go to her apartment.

Tatiana will be traveling to San Francisco - East Bay Area for our wedding in December. Tatiana's personality is fun, sweet, and sassy. She is specific with direction to ease you into poses that will appear natural in photos. Engagement photo files (color, black and white, and a surprise video) arrived within 14 days of the photo shoot. We can't imagine sharing our special day with any other photographer. How we found Tatiana: She found us! By serendipity, she started following my fiancé's photography on instagram on a Monday. We were going to make a trip to San Diego that Thursday. We had always wanted to take photos at the place we met, so we saw her stunning work and were immediately interested. I called her and she answered the phone right away and addressed all of my questions. She proceeded to text me back throughout the week and we met that Thursday, 3 days later. Very flexible and easy to communicated with! Working with Tatiana: We could tell from her website that we'd love her photography, but we didn't expect to have so much with her! She broke the ice immediately with hugs. Then we got started! Since she didn't know the location (UCSD - north campus) she arrived early for inspiration. It very much felt like a date. She kept us laughing with directions like, "Relax, these aren't senior photos!" So fun. After spending some time on campus, my fiancé and I did an outfit change and then we drove down to Windansea Beach in La Jolla for beach photos. We lucked out with beautiful color in the sunset and ocean. Again, we trusted Tatiana's inspiration and posed as she instructed. As you can see, the photos don't disappoint!! We got soaked to our navels when the waves hit us from behind, however, Tatiana's forte is catching the relaxed couple before the wave hits. Take a look at the attached photo...it was so worth getting drenched!! ;) The product: Within hours of finishing the shoot, Tatiana posted the first teaser photo on Instagram/Facebook and we were in love with it. We were stunned by the rest she texted us throughout the following week. We booked her for our wedding then and there. We cannot possibly imagine our wedding day without her.
