Prices are reasonable and staff is friendly. I just wish they had a bigger space to have more workers. They only had 3 people working when I was there and it created a line of customers waiting. Visited on an early Friday evening and salon wasn't crowded when I arrived. There were two people being serviced, 1 getting hair dyed/permed and 1 under the dryer, and 3 workers total. I use to visit this salon on a regular but now only go every once in a while as I keep my hair braided a lot. When I arrived I was greeted and asked what service I wanted as I signed in. I waited about 30 minutes to get my hair shampooed. And my wash was EVERYTHING! She did a WONDERFUL job washing and scrubbing my hair. Very relaxing. But what I don't understand is why one of the other two ladies couldn't at least start my wash. They sat there talking the whole time I was waiting, as the other lady was servicing someone else. Then someone else came in shortly after me and we both were basically waiting to be washed while the stylists were still talking. Now I know in some salons you have stylists and washers but I don't think it's right to have everyone waiting on one washer to finish up if the stylists aren't busy. Especially when you then have to sit under dryer for 45 min after being washed. If I was started on as soon as I arrived, which was possible, then my visit would have been shorter. Ana's is the my go to Dominican salon! I went a few months ago to get a touch-up. They don't take appointments (most Dominican salons) and I went on a Saturday so of course it was packed, but that was to be expected. My stylist was great, I can't remember her name though. It took about 4 hours, 3 magazines, and one empanada later. But when I left that salon my hair was beautiful and received lots of compliments, and the price wasn't bad. I paid $60 and that included a touch up, deep conditioning, trim and style. When they are blowing out your hair they always ask you if you want it "straight or body", go for the body! It lasts for days! :-) This is in my neighborhood so I will be returning time and time again. read more

I will not be coming here anytime soon. At least not until my son gets older. They take entirely too long. I've never been to a Dominican salon that is as slow as this one. They do a good job, but I just don't have the time with a new baby at home. I will definitely come back when I have 3+ hours to give. They also have roaches but since I didn't come here to eat, I'm good with that...I guess!! Just don't sit your purse on the floor!! hehehe... Anyway the prices are pretty decent. $35 for the regular wash/set. $45 w/deep conditioner. As promised...here is my review! After being fed up with SUB PAR service from nearby competitor, I luckily found myself in the hands of a wonderfully skilled stylists at Ana's. Surprisingly enough, there was no cloud of smoke, or burnt hair smell permeating the establishment. I didn't trip over trimmed split ends nor did I have to wait to surrender my hard-earned cash. Ana's is as close to NY Dominican Salons as you can get in Atlanta South of Jimmy Carter Blvd. I loved how no one cringed when I walked in at 6pm with a head full of NATURAL hair. No whispering or native tongues began flying...just smiles and excellent service. The woman who washed my hair inspected my roots to ensure all the product was washed out, I was offered a complimentary deep conditioning (which I graciously accepted) and a trim (which I graciously denied). I was washed, deep conditioned, and set all within 45mins. The blow dry and press process left no kink unkinked. After a speedy check out process and pleasant conversation with the manager Caesar, I was on my way. Today at work I got SO MANY compliments. I couldn't stop shaking my head. I really like this place and will NEVER go back to that other one I did a review for. read more

I usually go here when I need a quick wash now I go because I am searching for a stylist who can love and care for hair the PROPER way without all the extra(late for appointments, over booking, unorganized crap that goes with a lot of stylist) so if anyone knows anyone who can give your hair that TLC and still come out like I am going to be on the cover of Essence then let me know-- please let it be in the Cobb area. The blow out procedure they use is ok, but i am a sit under the dryer lover... that direct heat from the blow torch is a bit much for the scalp at times. Now about Ana's II I started off at this location, now I am go to the the Rezults location on Veterans where Ana herself works. She has the best personality you could ask for, she pays attention to what you want and delivers. Yet Dominican shops are limited to what they can do. She reaches those limitations and just a little more. If you go ask for the body, wrap it up and days later it will fall perfectly each time... This location is larger than the one on Floyd and so much more comfortable. read more

There has not been a recent review of the facility and I don't know if that is good or bad, but I decided to write one on my recent visit. I brought my daughter here today on the recommendation of her Godmother. We waited about 15 minutes before being serviced despite only one other person being serviced and 3 workers sitting and chatting. I am not complaining because we have waited much longer before. My daughter had lots of product build up and her hair was shampooed multiple times to remove it all. She received a deep condition which was free because it was Tuesday. Typically deep conditioner stays in for 30 minutes, she was only sitting for 10-15 minutes under the dryer. The actual blowout was just ok. I have been to other Dominican salons with much better results. It did save me the time from doing her hair myself, but don't think I will return here. There are others salons in a 1 mile radius whose final results are much better, but in a pinch it is ok. read more

I come here often and some of the other reviews leave a lot out. Like how for $45 you get a wash, set, deep conditioner and if you get body or straight a solid week later you still have the just left the salon look. This place is walk ins only and open on Sundays which is perfect for me. This isn't a big location and it is connected to a shell gas station. You should expect to wait 30 mins maybe 45 on a extra busy day to get started. Some reviews said the show is slow but actually they are fast just always busy. There wouldn't be a line of people waiting outside daily for the 10am opening time if they weren't good. Great for a wash and set, adding color. For the basics this can't be beat. read more

Slow, but good. I'm here almost every week. When I first started looking for a Dom salon close to my house I was unimpressed with ALL the Mableton/Austell Dom salons. Why? Because I was used to the Dom salons in the Norcross area that charge $25 and can make your NATURAL hair curly or straight WITHOUT flat irons. Fast forward 2 years and a baby, I no longer have time to make the hike to Norcross so I've grown to appreciate the "neighborhood" Dominican shop. I really wished they were faster, but since they are so close, I can go during off days/hours (weekdays during the day or Wed/Thur evenings around 5pm). All in all, I do recommend this place if you live close. I've been to several in South Cobb and like this salon the best. PROS: - really nice ladies who work in the salon (Dona, Jamie and Claudia) - they never complain or charge extra when I come in with a braid-out - decent prices $35 (free conditioner on Tues/Wed) for natural wash, blow, flat iron - FREE wi-fi (makes me really happy) - credit cards accepted CONS: - SLOW - Small shop read more

I've been here a couple of times and I always walk out with my hair just the way I want it and I don't even have to tell them what I want. I usually always have to go home and restyle my hair, but not when I go to Ana's. You can walk right it, and it's best to go in the morning during the week so it's not as crowded. It takes about 2-3 hours to get a blowout that will be silk, straight, and bouncy. I like to ask for body because the curls look cute until they fall out by the end of the day (that's just my hair), then I have a sleek straight look. The blow dryers are HOT, but I feel that they take pretty good care of the hair. It's about your average price for a wash and set, $35-$40, but being able to walk in whenever I want??? Slow. That's the main take-away from this review and the others. I've been to Ana's twice now, and each time I was there for about 2.5 to 3 hours. While that's "short or normal" for many places, it's long for a Dominican salon. Especially considering I was there midday on Tuesday and then Wednesday (slow days). There's only one person who washes hair. She's awesome and takes time to thoroughly scratch, re-shampoo, etc. The problem is, she does it sooo leisurely. Same exact thing with the blow out. They're really good in terms of making my hair feel and look great, but they need to step up their sense of urgency. Not everyone wants to sit there for 3 hours for a simple wash and set. Especially when there's only one or two other customers. Speed up, please!! read more

I've been going to Ana's Dominion Salon for about a year. I love the work they do, especially my stylist Yeimy. She is very dedicated in making people's hair look and feel beautiful. I visited Ana's Dominican Salon today. Michelle was great as my Stylist. She is a lifesaver. I came into the salon with very tangled and knotted hair due to my own mishap of washing my fully flex rod hair without combing it out. I was so worried that I would not get my hair back to normal but Michelle was very calming. She was so patient. Michelle spent 2 hours untangling my hair. It was a lot of work because I have a lot of hair and it is long as well as thick. My hair looks great. It is very silky and straight. Michelle was great in educating me on why my hair ended up tangled. So she gave me great tips on how to maintain my hair and to keep it healthy. I will definitely go back to this salon to see her and recommend other people to see Michelle. Everyone in the salon was so nice. A great atmosphere to be in. read more

I don't know why this "Od K." is trashing Ana's, I've been getting my hair done there for over a year and i've had it allllll done and they have NEVER messed up my hair not even one time, maybe she already had tore up hair and is trying to blame her for her mistake. They have THE BEST products there and they treat you with respect. I will always refer my people there. They do speak spanish but what's the difference from when you go get your nails done @ the asian nail place or when you go get your hair braided at the african place. read more

HORRIBLE!!!! RUN -- DO NOT GO THERE -- They burnt my hair!!! I got a perm and she's curling my hair while arguing in Spanish with the other girls. Not paying attention to my hair and BURNS MY ENDS...I tell her about it and she goes, I'm sorry...Spoke with the manager and she goes, Well, I can re-curl your hair...WTF---Didn't you hear me??? She just burnt my hair. Why would I want you to put more heat on my burnt hair. I try to have a conversation with the manager and show her my burnt ends and the other girls come up to the front to attack me. I love Ana's and the entire Dominican atmosphere. The Shampoo GUY is fabulous!!! The best thing is that she just opened a brand new salon off of Veteran's Memorial (Congrats!). I haven't been but expect to visit within the next few days and I'm praying that there is some Barbicide for the combs which was missing in the last shop. Ana's wasn't worth the money. I paid $60 for trim and blow. This is not a typical dominican salon. They wet set and flat iron, together, which everyone knows is terrible for the hair, due to excessive use of heat. On the phone, they quoted me one price, and when I arrived, yet another price. Also, if you can stand the ladies screaming at each other in spanish from booth to booth, it may be your thing. But it certainly is not my thing. I do not recommend! read more

I go to Ana's and I do love the way they do wash and sets. I must admit the wait is about an hour or two if its very busy. I hate spending that much time in a beauty salon. The shop is very small and there are usually three - four stylists. The waiting area is composed of a 2 seater couch and three chairs. I found that going early in the morning is the best option. read more

User Rating: 2 out of 5 stars by Shay 09/27/2010 I started going to Ana's on Veterans Memorial a few months back and I was so disappointed, I payed $60 for a touch up relaxer only to find out later that she only left my relaxer on 80% which basically did nothing but texturize my hair, I did not ask her to do this when i call her about it, her attitude was so nasty and bitchy, she tells me that my hair was damaged so she only left the relaxer on for a short time period, she did not even bother to tell me this while I was there, I trusted her for a service and she did not render the service. Not only did she tell me my hair was damaged (which it is not) she also told me that It was not her job to tell me that she gave me a texturizer, so with that being said if you want to relax my hair halfway then you need to be paid halfway. Dont charge me for something that you did not give me. I will never return here, her attitude was so sweet as long as she was taking my money, then the ugly side came out, concerned about my hair like any woman should be, this is exactly why I do my own hair from now on read more

Okay. Here's the truth - save your money. They don't wash out all the perm and they put extremely too much heat on the hair. Yes, your hair will look good when you walk out the door, but is it healthy? Will it grow? Not if you're going to Ana! They left dye in my girlfriend's hair, she scratched her scalp after leaving the salon and her nails were black from the dye! Btw, it was "supposed" to be a permanent dye, not a rinse. I visited Ana's Dominican Salon on last month for a hair color that turned into a nightmare!! I chose this salon because of the quality of service that I experienced a few years ago. I've been wearing my hair in braids or a sew-in for awhile and decided it was time for a change. Let's go natural with a little bit of color. I called Ana for a rate and was advised to stop by so that she may assess my hair to give me a fair quote. During my "consultation", she took a look at my hair (without touching it or combing through) and quoted me a price. I made an appointment for two days later. Upon my arrival, color was placed in my hair, I was conditioned, then my hair was blow dry to style. I never looked in the mirror because I wanted to be surprised for the finished look. That I was. My color did not take but only at the very, very nap of my roots. During the entire time of placing products in my hair, I was NEVER advised that my color will not take because there was some color on the ends AND that my hair was very, very dehydrated. This information was provided to me only after I questioned my color. I was very disappointed that a certified professional would not advise me BEFORE placing products on my hair that the color will not take. Let alone did she suggest I come in for treatments before coloring. I said why didn't you tell me this when I came in for a consultation and the response I received was "Your hair was in a braid." Duh, how can you fully assess a client's hair and inform them of best treatments and style if you are not going to attempt to provide some type of hair care/professionalism. ok....I'm a custumer since they open this salon last year and i have to say that this is a place super good and all the products they used on my hair been helping me so much,...And its not real that they burn hair because Ana and Lina work with ceramic tools and finish sprays that protect your hair from burn and dammages...Im so happy with my hair its so long and healthy,specially that i get relaxers and rinses....and all my co workers are so in love with them....my stylist its the owner,Ana and she do a wonderfull job....thank god i found this shop.... read more

I really liked Anna's and the new shop Results until I experienced her nasty attitude about a month ago. I took my daughter in for a wash on two different occasions, both times I was charged different price for the same service. I tried CALMLY to discuss this with Anna and she's YELLING at me across the shop:~( I go home to get my receipt to prove what I was saying was RIGHT. I call the shop to TRY to explain that I didn't have a prob paying but that I was right. Anna began speaking with a VERY NASTY attitude and the nerve to hang up on me...WOW... Anna need to know that customer care is essential when owning a busniess. Not only did she lose me and my daughter but after we tell family and friends in our Mableton community about this, I'm quite sure their money will be appreciated at another local shop. The customer service is horrilbe and if you're looking for a place that cares for the HEALTH of your hair this is not it. A hair salon is supposed to be one where a woman goes to not only get beautified but to relax a bit. Here u will not find that as kids are running all over the place, standing on chairs and bumping into you like you're at an amusement park. Do not get me wrong I love children and work with them, but am more concerned abt their safety as well as my quiet time when I go to a salon. Ana can be very rude and selfish and at the end of the day its all about the money not abt a passion of hers in doing hair. Ive been around her for years and time after time its nothing but selfishness that she is made of and its sad cause she has alot of potential and gifted yet too hard headed and greedy to sincerely listen to the needs of her customers. It has taken yrs of me understanding why one of Atlanta's owners of a top dominican salon in marietta seemingly has nothing to do with her anymore and I now see why. If you still insist on going here, just use caution as they apply alot of heat which is not healthy and can be slick when it comes to charging you and changing amts.
