THANK YOU to Aftermath Barber shop for saving the day and my sanity!…read more I made an appointment for 9am with another hair salon to do a simple hairstyle for my daughter's 15th birthday party. We waited 10 minutes, then 15, then 30 minutes and the hairstylist was a no-show. No call, nothing. My stress level went through the roof. I started searching online, calling and driving around, looking for other hair salons, who were available, all of them were booked. We stopped at a hair salon and asked if they could style my daughter's hair, but they were also booked. My daughter walked into a barbershop, asked the first person she saw if she could style her hair for her birthday party. This young lady, Dianna G. saved my daughter's day and my sanity! She quickly started working on my daughters hair, and it looks so pretty. Thank you so much, I really appreciate what you did.

I just moved to Riverside just a month ago and I have been on the lookout for a barber weeks…read morebefore even moving. I've been with my barber back home in Hawaii for almost 3 years and let me tell you, it has been a struggle to find someone who can cut my hair the way I like it. Living in Riverside for almost a month I knew I needed to find a barber ASAP, and it has been difficult as most barbershops were closed due to COVID-19, however, there are a few that are operating and creating a safe and healthy environment. I met a friend online that lived in the SB area and he recommended Obie's Barber Shop & Shaving Parlor. I was a bit hesitant as this would be my first cut in CA and I was afraid of the outcome. I eventually decided to just do it because self-care is super important and getting my haircut is self-care for me. I called Obie's barbershop and they were very helpful, I asked if they had any openings the following day and the nice lady stated that there are, she even asked if this would be the first time I'm getting a cut at their shop, I said yes and that I just moved here. She was very helpful in walking me through the process of their new protocols with social distancing. The next day I received a text from my barber, Miguel, and reminded me of my appointment along with an image of their new protocols. Parking is easily accessible at this shop and you can see the barbers cutting outside. Instructions stated to wait in the car until I received a text to go in. I thought this was very efficient to stop people from crowding and to continue to practice social distancing. I saw how they sanitized everything before a new client arrived, and I really appreciate that because it shows how much they care about their clients. Once it was my turn to go in, Miguel texted me and I was greeted with a friendly environment. He asked what I was looking to get done, and I told him my regular cut, which was a Medium fade for the sides, side comb, no hard part, and half an inch on the top. Miguel really did an amazing job on the cut and I enjoyed the conversations we had. Shoutout to the owner for being the mastermind behind the outdoor set-up and allowing your clients to continue to get their haircuts in a safe environment. 10/10 would recommend this place!
