Atmosphere- good music choice and a very relaxed setting with lots of seating and and had a TV that with sports on. Cut- I walked in and Bobby?(had glasses and hat) was my barber, there was no wait and I told him about my hair and how I wanted to fix a cowlick behind the spiral that was annoying me and it constantly went in the opposite direction when I tried to style it, I told him that I wanted a skin fade. He fixed my cowlick and did a superb job on the fade and really took his time to make sure every detail was correct. I liked how he paid extra attention to everything. I came on a Weds afternoon and it was slow. I wasn't paying attention to the time but I think it took around 45 minutes. If you're in a rush, go somewhere else. Price- I told him it was my first time and he honored the 20% off price and it came out to $20 before tip Location- It is next to the car stereo place and has a small parking lot, but it looks like there's more parking in the back. My son had a hockey game at the ice rink across from Canvas Barbern shop. I had some time before the game so I figured that I would stop in for a quick haircut. Right when I walked in all the barbers were busy but they all said hello and gave a warm welcome. They had some great music playing and I sat down and relaxed. Within a few minutes Jamaal called me over. He asked how I wanted my hair cut and then gave some tips and ideas that I should consider. He was thoughtful and it was obvious that he cared about his craft. He then proceeded to give me one of the best haircuts I have ever had. He took his time and clearly took pride in his work. The whole experience was awesome and I would for sure go back and recomend this to men of all ages. Note: While I was here two young children got a haircut. This was a good barbershop, but the wait time was long. On top of that, they say they accept credit cards and Apple Pay, but when i offered to pay by either of those options, they said that their card reader wasn't working, and that they didn't use Apple Pay, both of which are options to pay by on their yelp. Also, they have a check in for 20% for first time visits, but said they don't honor that. This is all from the barber that cut my hair. If you don't accept these forms of payment, and can't honor your incentive of 20% off first visit, then either correct it on your yelp, or understand and honor the customers wishes. I have taken my son to many barbers/shops over the years & he completely dislikes the haircut experience every time. Everything from the atmosphere to the wait times just make him cringe. After 5 minutes at Canvas, he turns to me & says, "I like it here!" Or at least that's what I think I heard. It was hard to hear him over the angels singing! I'm so stoked to find an establishment that is so chill. There is plenty of seats for waiting, if you have to wait. However, we had an appointment with Jourden who I highly recommend. He took his time to make sure he gave me exactly what I wanted & it was nice not to feel rushed. Prices are fair. Restroom is clean. Music was very niice. Staff is amazing and had the most stand out customer service, period. Every gentleman in the shop took the time to say hello to my son, the customer. Five star experience. read more

To expensive15 bucks for a buzz cut, it's to much. Every barber I've gone to has never charged me more the 10 dollars. It's always been between 5-10. Another reason why I will never go back there is that The barbers stope cutting your hair so he can go talk to other people. It's like you are nothing to him. My barber asked me where was I from, my reply was from LA, then asked why a buzz cut? Right as I am about to answer him he walks away to talk to somebody who is selling bootlegged DVDs. So no never agin will I go there. I have give it 2 stars cause at least my hair was cut nicely and perfect. But the professionalism of the barbers, and the price for a hair cut is way far from perfect. read more

The hours posted were for opening at 10AM, but I arrived at 9:30 and they were open. Great service and an air of the old time barbershop with friendly banter going on.
