I absolutely love Dr. Jackson and the staff! I turned to yelp in search of a pediatrician for my…read moreson and can wholeheartedly say it was a great decision. When I initially called to do a tour of the office and meet and greet with the doctor, the young lady (I believe her name is Kara) scheduled my visit for a few days out and I was already impressed by her professionalism over the phone and how quickly she was able to schedule a visit. Once I arrived for the office tour, I met with Kara who gave me the Ins and outs of the office and showed me all the office has to offer, from a private nursing area to a specific room for emergency situations. She also sat with me and answered the tons of questions I had about the office and then she introduced me to Dr. Jackson. I absolutely fell in love at that moment. The doctor is super sweet and personable. She explained what I would be looking forward to in terms of what to expect at each visit during the first year of my son's life and she also took plenty of time to answer the list of questions I prepared prior to meeting with her. Once my son was born and we called to schedule his first visit, they were able to see us within two days and the first visit was awesome. Dr. Jackson was soooo reassuring and super gentle with our new sweet baby and I am soooo glad that we found a doctor who truly cares for the little ones!

They only allow children who follow the exact guidance per the CDC timeline and recommended vaccines. We are interested in vaccinating our child but at a later date which allows for lesser doses. Unfortunately we were told they couldn't accommodate that request and they do require the schedule to be followed. The reason they shared was for the sake of other children in the waiting room. We were later told that they are incentivized for having 100% of their patients vaccinated (I didn't fact check this but it would make sense why they are so strict on timeline). Again, we really liked the doctors but it's unfortunate that parents don't feel they can have a say in their child's care and timeline.

There is probably nothing more important than choosing the right pediatrician for your child. As a…read morenew parent, Peachtree Park Pediatrics (PPP) came in highly recommended by a trusted friend who takes her children here. Our very first visit was on a Tuesday, mid-morning, which might a busy time as the parking lot fills up quickly. We saw our pediatrician who asked us several questions about our newborn since leaving the hospital and demonstrated empathy and care for our little one. They checked height, weight, newborn papers, and baby's eyes. Baby girl received her first vaccine shot here and it was relatively painless that the nurse soothed baby. The facility was clean, staff was professional, and specialists were respectful in answering any questions for this new parent. There is a patient portal and the facility does text message reminders. The facility is in a medical building and parking is not free, but for about an hour appointment it's $5. You can print a receipt before the gate falls down is you need it for reimbursement.

These folks really do need a separate business listing for the laboratory part of their clinic. Let…read moreme give anyone going here a helpful tip - if you are traveling on S Cobb Drive TOWARDS the city of Atlanta, once you hit the intersection of Cumberland Blvd / EW Connector, you will hang a left as though you are going to BBT Bank. (If traveling towards Atlanta, if you see the storage place or the Krispy Kreme doughnuts, you have come to far.) You will drive past the bank drive-thru entrance, past another drive, and then you will see the driveway for WellStar. Turn left and drive to the FAR end of the parking lot. Once you park, you can enter through the pediatrics clinic up front - or you can walk around towards to shrubbery at the far end of the parking lot and take that sidewalk to enter on the laboratory side. 1) It has been a WHILE since my last visit and I'm getting old. I remembered that as soon as I turned on to S Cobb Drive, I needed to hang a quick left as though I was going to the BBT bank, but I thought they were right behind it. They weren't. So I called the customer service number and was told that the office was closed - and HAD been closed for months - since the start of the pandemic. FYI - the lady I spoke to was so 'over it' - she needs a vacation. Lol. She kept interrupting me. She was clearly annoyed. She told me that my nearest location was the Atlanta Rd location. Couple of things: 1) because it was 2pm and I had fasted since midnight the day before 2) I have been to the Atlanta Rd / Vinings location. They are swamped / super busy and I needed to be back home to meet with the appliance repair people within an hour 3) I'm 100% that b**** (joking - but have learned to be very tenacious on behalf of family) - I decided to ignore the rude lady and venture further into the complex. SO glad I did, because they were literally the next turn on the left. The phlebotomist who took my blood was friendly. She took QUITE a bit of time making sure she had everything correct and even 'corrected' some items that she said were duplicated and that she felt my insurance wouldn't pay for. She also did her best to educate me about what she was doing and why it was taking so long. I'm used to this - they have to take a LOT of blood for my GBS tests and my thyroid tests. It's cool. The only thing I wasn't crazy about is the fact that when she 'put pressure' on vein - this chick actually jabbed the tip of her thumb into my arm to the point that I actually had to restrain myself from slapping her hand away. Listen - I'm a country girl. And I'm clumsy. I grew up fighting with 3 older brothers. Daughter of an Army Ranger and farmgirl. Any issues with pain or injury were met with "walk it off" or "soldier it up" or "sleep on it." So I'm used to bumps, bruises, pain. I have walked around with broken ribs, broken bones in my feet, double pneumonia, etc - BUT - the amount of pressure she used was straight-up ridiculous. And when I commented on it, her response was even more ridiculous - she literally said, "Aw. You're a big girl - you can handle it!" Was that a comment on my weight? Or my age? LMBO. Though I said nothing else - I guess she could tell by my 'expressive' face that I wasn't happy with her response - so she gave me some claptrap about how she has to use a lot of pressure to avoid bruising. FYI - I have a bruise - but I'm pretty sure it's the result of her insane and unnecessary thumb jab. At the end of the day - if I feel that I'm dealing with a nut - I'm not gonna try to antagonize this person so that my blood and subsequent test results get 'lost' - but Jeesh. Based on my past experiences with Wellstar - this phlebotomist will move on to greener pastures soon enough - so you probably will not experience this deep-thumb-dive I experienced - and had she used her thumb pad - INSTEAD of the tip of her thumb - I'm sure I would not have even noticed. The reason this place still gets 5 stars is because - 1) they are super convenient. They get you IN and OUT quickly. 2) free parking 3) convenient hours Check 'em out!

Shortly after the referral, CHOA contacted me to schedule our appointment and made it an incredibly smooth process. Although they have multiple locations, the next appointment wasn't available until 3 weeks later - yikes! But that's how healthcare goes so we took what we could and the young lady I spoke to told me that they would call me if anything sooner opened up. Even though nothing opened up, I appreciated that consideration so much! When we arrived, I did not expect it to be so beautiful! It was so bright, open and colorful inside, truly pleasing to the eyes of adults and children alike. I was really blown away by it all. There's also a bunch of paid parking that's available so you're not scrambling to find somewhere to park when going into important appointments. (I wish it were free parking though!) There are several floors catering to the different specializations and wow, this is really an incredible place that tends to pediatric needs of all kinds. On our way out I even saw that there was a small cafeteria in the lobby, perfect for guardians and kids who may have had long appointments. (Or those just wanting a snack?) The team here is really wonderful, from the front desk to the doctors and nurses. From check-in to check-out, any questions or concerns that we had were addressed with such patience. Our appointment with Dr. Raj was incredibly smooth and he was really helpful. We had an issue filling a prescription for our son so I called and the ladies upfront worked to get me the answers I needed. It's never fun to go to the doctor's office, but it's nice to find one that makes the experience smoother. Will definitely continue making any necessary appointments at CHOA!
