The front desk and accounting of this clinic is one of the worse I have seen. It does not correspond to the doctors of the same. They will not process the insurance claims correctly and charge you for the full services even though you have an active insurance. On top of that they will charge you a ridiculous fee of $5.00 fee even though the bill is paid in full. Paper fee every month. The doctors of Piedmont Pediatrics are burning their name and reputation because of their accounting and front desk. Do not recommend at all! read more

I use to love this office, however for the years it's been a huge decline. My child is now 6 and we decided to move to another practice. The location is awful but that's no fault to them. Good luck getting in and out! My last 2 straws was when there was a know stomach bug going around and my child could not keep food down for days and 2 visits laters I had to beg for nausea pills for my child and finally it was prescribed when she so dehydrated it was ridiculous. I also needed a refill on albuterol and after multiple back in forth in a portal it finally got refilled. No more. read more

The biggest drawback to Dr. Griffith & Piedmont Pediatrics is that it's located within the Piedmont Pediatrics complex--with literally the worst parking decks in the history of mankind. But... the practice seems (so far at least) very well run and fairly nice generally. We haven't been made to wait too long overall, and I like the relaxed attitude of Dr. G. She's a no-nonsense doctor with a flair for quickfire opinions and visits. I'd love a different location, but for now we're sticking with this practice. read more

We have been bringing our kids here for years but I'd say the last two years consistently we have to wait over an hour to be seen even when we schedule early morning appointments. Luckily my kids are older so they have a little more patience but I don't! I have a job and can't spend half the day waiting. I liked this place originally but overtime i felt like as a new mom i was often not educated when i begged for guidance and was brushed off and called over dramatic and told "Everything is normal" every time i bought my twins in be seen. I'd no longer recommend this place for good quality care . My twins were seeing Dr.David Roe at this practice since birth until yesterday. I arrived yesterday to get my child checked as i said he wasn't breathing correctly and was extremely congested . I wanted to make sure that he wasn't experiencing an extreme illness and that the over the counter meds i was giving him were working even with being a new mom i know my baby and i know when something isn't normal with him . I was BRUSHED OFF AND NOT LISTENED TO . What i said was not taken seriously as all , i was told the over the counter cough medicine i was giving my baby was "Sugar water" and no good. That was a wasted $70 copay because the pediatrician wasn't in the room but 7mins total . Viewing 2 children. That didn't sit right with me so i got a second opinion because i knew my child wasn't "normal" thats what i bought him in to be seen and i took my baby to the ER immediately after for a second opinion . Thank god i did because we got airlifted to CHOA and my baby had RSV. This was a huge look over , that could have been detrimental to my child's life and overall wellbeing . As a new mom i looked for help and instead i didn't get that . Everything i always bring here is said to be "Normal" not really explained. Just shut down and "They're okay" ... so RSV is normal now days ? Lol you sure ? Hmm . My baby's care wasn't taken seriously and he wasn't looked at ! So No we will not return here sadly . read more

Just an overall great experience. As soon as I entered I was directed. Once talking to the receptionist to check in they brought my son and I back, didn't even wait in a waiting room like typical doctors office. The nurses were amazing, especially since I just had my son a week before and I had pregnancy brain lol. I forgot my baby bag in my car but my nurse reassured me everything was ok. She had my baby's milk, wipes, diapers and anything I needed. I was so appreciative for the awesome customer service. We waited for the doctor for no more than 10 minutes (AWESOME) Dr. Bramwell was so sweet and attentive, just an overall exceptional doctor. I'm so glad I choose this practice and I really hope this style of service continues. read more

The office isn't impressive, very hectic and crammed most of the time. But, the staff is friendly and Dr. Weil is amazing! He's very adamant about immunizations, but I am ok with that. He will not see your child if you do not immunize! He's been around for over 30 years and I trust his opinion. He took care of my daughter who stayed in NICU with a very strange blood disorder and went above and beyond to care for her. He has also cared for my 3 year old since he was an infant. They normally do same day sick appointments. Well visits usually take over an hour, so be prepared. The nurse is pretty easy to contact when you just want to ask questions. Would love to see a bigger waiting room - or a sick/well room, but it's nice to have a doctor that you really trust! read more

I took my son here for a year and half too long. We only had to go for our routine visits & a couple sick visits. First when you walk in your will immediately feel to be a burden to the front desk staff. They are not friendly (nor kid friendly) or have many positive customer service skills that they practice. They will acknowledge you by placing their hand out for your skript sheet to take payment or point their finger to a board you need to sign in at. Hey if you don't like your job I'm pretty sure there are others options out there. The office itself barely seems to be a pediatric office and definitely could use a good cleaning and update the dingy & broken toys & books. My Gyno office has more options to keep my child occupied. The Doctors are ok. Nothing horrible but nothing great. There is a Nurse Practitioner (Jennifer, I think) that is wonderful as well as a couple phone nurses, Dr Elliot and his main assistant. As far as the other doctor's assistants I could have sworn a couple had been trained by old school catholic nuns! No personality, which is not very helpful when they're administering your kids shot (EEKS) I thought they were going to whip out a ruler and slap my knuckles if I spoke up. It seems to be a factory of get in and out as quickly as possible which I get but no connection is made from the doctors to their young, sweet patients. No warm and fuzzy feeling. This office needs a lot of work all around but they are at Piedmont which makes it convenient. I just didn't feel this is where my family was going to make that connection plus parking is always $5 over 30 mins even if you are 30.16sec they will charge you! read more

We went to Piedmont Pediatrics for our son's 1-week-old appointment and decided to switch to Kennesaw Pediatrics since we were dissatisfied with the experience. Since we live in Smyrna, we live between these two places and a swap makes sense. Pros: - Healthy and sick babies are scheduled to come in at different times of the day (healthy early in the morning and right after lunch) - Clean facilities Cons: - Located in/next to hospital - newborns shouldn't be in an environment with sick people - Parking deck - I don't like walking my newborn around crowded parking decks where people can speed around corners - Although healthy and sick babies are scheduled during different hours, they are still in the same facility - Dr. Allison Koenig acted like our baby was "just another baby" -- I understand that she sees babies all day long, but a pediatrician should show that they actually care about your child -- We use the Snuza Baby Monitor which clips on to our baby's diaper, and she saw it and then made a snarky remark about how manufacturers of devices like that just prey on paranoid parents (we were using it, so we clearly weren't the audience for that type of comment) - The waiting room is big and open with no private area for breastfeeding I do not recommend Piedmont Pediatrics mostly because of our experience with Dr. Koenig read more

On two different separate sick visits, Dr Elliott and Dr Zoe, have both given me a hard time after I asked them to wash their hands before examining/touching my baby. Dr. Zoe just flat out refused to wash his hands of use sanitizer. He told me he washed his hands before he came into the room. Mind you, he touch the door handle to open the door. There are tons of germs on door handles. Then he was typing on his laptop. He proceeded to touch my baby after all of this. When I asked him to wash his hands, he said he washed them before he came inside the examining room. On a different sick visit, with Dr. Elliott, he turned me asking him to wash his hands to a big ordeal. When Dr. Elliott proceeded to touch my baby and I asked him to wash his hands first. He got an attitude with arrogance and told me that he always wash his hands before seeing a patient. He begrudging reaches for the hand sanitizer behind him on the wall. I asked him could he go ahead and use the sink with water and soap. With attitude he quickly turns on a little water and no soap. I asked him could he use soap. He refused. He got smart with me and told me in an arrogant manner that if I don't trust him washing his hands, then I don't trust him diagnosing my baby. He just stood there for about 5 minutes staring at me (with my sick baby) in an awkward silence. It was a long awkward silence while I'm standing there holding my sick baby. I'm thinking all this for simply wanting you to wash your hands the right way... with soap. Wash your hands like all the other normal people do who are not "arrogant doctors". (Not all doctors are arrogant. But Dr. Elliott is one of those doctors who are very much arrogant.) Getting him to wash his hands the correct way (with soap was like pulling teeth, the whole entire mouth!) As we stood there, in an awkward silence, with him not budging to wash his hands and not proceeding to examine my sick baby... I asked him was there another doctor there who I could see for this sick visit. I'm mean, he wasn't proceeding. My baby is suffering from being sick. His actions were telling me that he was refusing to see my baby... thinking about it (Or trying me). With attitude he asked if I wanted him to wash his hands again with the soap. I told him... well, yeah. That's what I thought he simply do in the very first place. After the visit was over for my baby. He still through a jab at me. At my surprised he pointed out my dry hands... which he diagnosed as eczema. (Oh he is a dermatologist now? I thought he was a pediatrician). Dr. Elliott continued telling me if he washed his hands, his hands would look like mines. He told me that his hands would get infected. He told me that my hands look so bad that I need to go soak them in some water and put lotion on them. Then he related back to himself saying that he doesn't use soap and water because it doesn't have moisturizer and his hands would look like mine. Why is comparing my hands to his, why is he looking at my hands, we're here for my baby. He's taking time from the next sick child trying to get back at me. Im a busy mom of a toddler and baby (who was sick). I had been up all night with a sick baby. I had not had the time to give myself a manicure and pamper my hands so my skin would be beautiful and soft so my child's pediatrician would not analyze and criticize me. Most busy moms wouldn't want there appearance or any parts of their bodies to be analyzed or judged by their child's pediatrician when they come in for a sick visit. Moms of babies and toddlers are busy. Hair may not be perfect, clothes may not be perfect, appearance may not be up to part because they are so, so busy caring for our little ones. We also DON'T WANT TO BE JUDGED. ESPECIALLY BY OUR CHILD'S PEDIATRICIAN (Dr. Elliott). Why is Dr Elliott staring at my hands anyway! Usually they are trying to get to the next patient (sick child). But after my child's visit, you have time to discuss me. This visit is not about me. It's about my child. It's about making it to the next child. His arrogance seemed to have got in the way of his judgement on making it quickly to his next sick child. He's got time to sick and chat with me about my hands. My insurance isn't paying for this. I didn't ask for a consultation about my hands. He is not a dermatologist. He is out of his field. Dr. Elliott needs to stay in his lane. (Being a pediatrician, not a dermatologist). He is practicing in the wrong field of medicine at his place of work. Examining someone who is not even his patient! I thought that Dr. Elliott was very unprofessional going there with me. After all this time has gone by for my baby's visit, he's still thinking about me asking him to wash his hands. That you have to stare at me, (my hands), to find something to get back at me about. Looking for an amazing pediatric group? Look no further than Piedmont Pediatrics, they are the best! All the doctors have great reputations, but we personally use Dr. Koenig. We are first time parents and obviously have lots of questions and concerns. She gives us all the answers and puts us at ease. Not only that, but Dr. Koenig goes out of her way to make phone calls to you off hours, weekends, to follow up with you to see how things are going, etc. That is much appreciated! They are going through some renovations right now but the office will have much higher capacity when completed. You'll have to pay to park (Piedmont Hospital)...but they are worth it! read more

My daughter's Pediatrician is Dr. Allison Koenig and we love, love, love her. As a first time Mom, I was very insecure going to the Pediatrician. I had so many questions, I was hormonal, I was a mess. Dr Koenig was patient , gentle and calming to my daughter. My daughter is very comfortable with her and the staff....so much so that she doesn't scream or cry during her immunizations. They are pretty busy most of the time. Parking is paid garage parking that's shared with Piedmont Hospital and other private Doctor's offices. This time of year, forget about an appointment, school is in. If I absolutely have to go. I just call frequently to see if anyone has cancelled an appointment. Thanks to Dr. Koenig and the Staff at Piedmont Pediatrics for your hard work and service. I my children 20 and 14 have been patients of Piedmont Piedatricts for 20+ years. The practice was previously Norwood, Schuyler and Weil. It has always been Buckheads premier practice. It is the practice where the doctors take their own kids. The negative reviews are written by a bunch of spoiled brats, first time parents. What do you want fancy offices or great doctors. By the way for years the waiting room was tiny, less than half the current size. Of all my doctors offices this doctors office keeps their staff the longest. Nurse Nancy has been with the practice close to 30 years, other front desk staff and nurses recently retired after 25 plus years. Which is unheard of in Atlanta doctors practices. So yes their are some new staff, but their is not the churn of new staff every visit as in other doctors. We started with Dr. Weil, 20 years ago. Why did I choose him he knew the fathers name of one of my co-workers kids. When my daughter hit puberty, they added Dr. Harris. She has been nothing but wonderful seeng my daughter thru several crisis. My younger daughter 14 has seen Dr. Bramwell as well as Dr. Harris and Dr. Weil . We are all happy with them. We see everyone from every private and catholic school in Buckhead at this practice. read more

My family is new to Atlanta and we were looking for a dependable pediatrician for our almost 2 year old son. Unfortunately, we are extremely disappointed thus far. First, they scheduled his 2 year check up 10 days shy of being able to give him his next round of vaccines. When I brought him back the second time (10 days later) they forgot about us in the waiting room where we sat for 45 minutes. It was only after I said something to the front desk did they get us in. There was no sincere apology for the ridiculously long wait and we felt as though my son didn't matter. We will be looking for a new pediatrician. He's the best the customer service I received was beyond amazing. Piedmont pediatrics are lucky to have hired him. I promised them to let people know about my wonderful service. Our primary doctor is Elizabeth Griffith and she is awesome. I could not ask for a better doctor. My daughter has also seen the other female doctors in the practice when she has had to go in on a Saturday (drs Harris and Koenig) and both of them are really great too. Very attentive and you don't feel rushed. I've only dealt with the male doctors when we've had to call after hours and they've been great as well and told us ho to deal with the situation at hand and not talked down to us. They call you back quickly and give you all the information you need to get through a situation (like high fever for instance). Overall, the practice is great. They recently renovated and everything is bright and cheerful and they have some toys and books for the kids to keep them occupied while you wait. read more

I'm really happy with our doctor here. He is patient with answering questions and does not make me feel rushed. He has a relaxed vibe which I appreciate and he's super straightforward. Most of the staff is nice but I do think our doc's nurse isn't as friendly with bedside manner. She is a bit straight faced with babies and doesn't try to make them smile or ease their fears before vaccines or measurements. This could be improved. I also really wish they had a separate sick room!!! This needs to happen. Every time we go , kids are coughing, eyes droopy from fevers and it's such a small space. They really have to figure out a better system for separating sick kids from healthy ones. Obviously one would hope that you would do more research than a Yelp review to find your child's pediatrician... But with the experience I had recently with this practice I couldn't help but share. When first visiting the office I was impressed with the size and grandeur of the operation but as time passed it felt more like an assembly line. Our first visit our baby was 4 days old, as we waited to check out the woman at the desk was so invested in a personal conversation with a friend that was visiting with her child that we had to wait. She was actually annoyed with us that we interrupted her (and by interrupt I mean we standed patiently for her to finish). She also declined to give us important information about insurance for our next visit. The next appointment when we were unprepared/uninformed we received more attitude from the same woman. (I will say that Erika in the billing office did take time to amend the situation, I would give Erika 5 stars!) Upon any visit with a newborn they hand you a print out of the most popular asked questions with answers so you will not waste the doctors time. Very impersonal. Be prepared to spend less than 10 minutes with your doctor. Being a first time parent I didn't have anything to go on and I just went with the flow. So now this is where the unprofessional behavior becomes unacceptable. We moved. PP does not fax medical records, they handle requests in writing only. I requested the records in May. They came in a timely manner. When it came time to register my child at the new practice I was told they were incomplete (Missing 4 important records out of 10). I made another written request. The medical record department responded to the email immediately and promised a 5-10 business day turn around. After 14 days I wrote another email to follow up with no reply. I waited two more days and called. The person I spoke with assured me they had already been mailed and I could expect them any day. A week passed and I called again, that's when this person read the note on my account "that they had been expedited after speaking with me". So the first girl lied! So it has been over a month and no records. My child is waiting to be immunized because our new practice can't see him without those records. PP finally made an exception and said they could fax the records to the new practice. It took two follow up phone calls from our new practice and 6 hours to complete this task. When PP called to confirm the fax the woman on the phone was laughing about the whole situation. How insulting?!!!! I do not think that my child's health or the fact that we have been waiting on important immunizations because of the incompetence of your office is a laughing matter. read more

My child isn't even a patient yet & I am extremely disappointed. I'm a first time mother, due in October & heard great reviews about Piedmont Pediatrics. I called to schedule a consult with Dr. Laura Harris & the answering machine told me that I was 2nd in queue (no problem!) after my turn came up the phone rang about 10x, a receptionist picked up & asked me to hold, I said of course & after another long hold time another receptionist returns & again, asks me to hold. After a total of 15 minutes of being placed on hold without speaking to anyone, with no end result & only to schedule a consultation, I decided to hang up. What if I had a sick child & had to speak to someone urgently? Maybe I called on a busy day? I was excited to possibly meet Dr. Harris but unfortunately, they've lost a potential patient. read more

Nope. Just, nope, not going back. Here is why: -They have 2 waiting rooms, you would think one would be for well children and one for sick (this is how my previous pediatrician's office was organized) nope, they are all mixed in together. -I would expect to find ample children's seating, toys and books. Nope, a lot of chairs for grown ups, no toys, no children's book but plenty of copies of Southern Living magazine (every toddlers favorite) but there was a huge television showing cartoons. My expectation is that someone who has the development of children at heart would be making efforts to reduce children's screen time. Not placate them because you have such a busy waiting room that you seem to be having trouble managing. -When my daughter was having her flu shot and the nurse needed my help to calm her and hold her I needed someone to hold my infant daughter, nope, the nurse told me no one could hold the baby, without so much as even peeking her head out the hall to see if anyone was available. So, in a pediatricians office, there is not one person who could hold a baby for literally 30 seconds? I was then asked if I had a car seat, yeah as a matter of fact, I do have a carseat, it's in the car. -When I told the doctor that my family just moved here his response was "Oh, what does your husband do?" After I answered his question you think that he might have asked me what I do, nope. After a long pause I said I was a teacher, he looked at me and said "I just assumed you were a stay at home mom." Excuse me? I am actually a highly educated women that has spent years developing a career as a pedagogue that happens to not be working right now because we just moved. Well here is something I don't have to assume, you are a misogynist, who won't be caring for my children. I could go on about the care my children received but I have already taken up enough of your time, and you have already decided whether or not to trust my review. I highly recommend the doctors, nurses and staff at Piedmont Pediatrics! We have three kids, two of whom have developmental and medical special needs, and require a large number of referrals and a massive amount of paperwork- we have never had any problem getting what we needed! Dr. Griffith is our doctor, and we adore her- on occasion we've seen Dr. Koenig and Dr. Roe, and have been very satisfied with them as well. When we moved to Cobb County, we tearfully thought we'd have to find a new local doctor, but after several crummy experiences, we decided to commute and keep Piedmont Pediatrics, and I don't regret it a bit! If I could give them negative stars I would. I've been going here for 5 years and have always felt rushed and like my kids never get a thorough exam. They were recommended by many after I had my first and I got complacent and didn't look around for better options (mea culpa). After Dr. Griffith told me to lock my child in her room and let her scream because she had sleep issues (without looking into physiological reasons) and then blaming me for ongoing problems, I felt pretty hopeless and like my husband and I would never sleep again. Then I did some reading about sleep and behavior issues and how they were tied to tonsil and adenoid issues. Wouldn't you know that when I asked my 5 year old, who'd never slept a full night in her life to show me her tonsils, that one was 4x the size of the other? Disgusted with the lack of attention from Griffith (the fastest talking doctor I've ever seen -- she wants you OUT of her office), we saw Dr. Bramwell (after a 45 minute wait from our appt time), who insisted that we needed a sleep study. I had to BEG for an ENT referral, which she finally agreed to. Per her phone call, I scheduled an appointment with a Pediatric ENT. He was awesome and surprised that I self-diagnosed this when the problem was so obvious. We scheduled tonsil surgery but, wouldn't you know? Even though I called them FOUR times, Piedmont Pediatrics neglected to send the referral to the doctor for insurance purposes. We had to reschedule the surgery because they didn't send it. Then we had to pay out of pocket and will need to be reimbursed because they neglected to send it after claiming they sent it over, and over, and over. I called to complain about the quality of medical care and the office manager listened and thanked me for my candor. She then called the ENT's office and said I threatened her to get something done. THREATENED? Wow. I called her back, she said it was a miscommunication, but it wasn't. She finally admitted she said it. Horrible office, incompetent doctors. If you want your kid to go undiagnosed and get factory healthcare, go here. Otherwise, go elsewhere, I wish we'd never had gone there. Terrible. read more

I LOVE this practice! My son sees Dr. Koenig, and she is a fantastic pediatrician. She is extremely knowledgeable and is great with my son. She also does a wonderful job of alleviating my fears and keeping me calm when my child is sick. I never feel rushed in that office despite the fact that it is a very busy practice. We have also seen Dr. Griffith, Dr. Roe, and Dr. Elliott, and they are all great. I highly recommend this practice! There are quite a few pediatricians that are closer to our home than Piedmont Pediatrics, but it is definitely worth the extra drive. read more

I cannot attest to the medical skill of these doctors but I can tell you this practice does not have patient service skills. If you do not value your time or communication, this could be a wonderful practice. I had an appointment at 11 AM and I was 15 minutes early with a six month old. An hour later, at noon, I was sitting in a room and still had not seen a doctor. A woman entered the room and started examining my child. She did not say hi or introduce herself and, when I asked, found out she was not the doctor at all. Shortly after noon, I had to inform the office that I was leaving and could not be a patient. Only then did the the doctor (Bramwell) introduce herself. She reminded me that it was the Friday before Labor Day- an hour long wait is reasonable and should have been expected. Dr. Bramwell is fantastic! Unfortunately the office is pretty bad. The hold time for an appointment is crazy. I was on hold for 10 mins and counting before I just hung up. Also, the nurse I spoke to when I had a question was extremely unhelpful and just kept repeating the same words to me no matter what I said. It's a shame, because I really like Dr. Bramwell. read more

Cannot say enough good things about Piedmont Pediatrics and Dr. Elliott. Our daughter came down with strep and we were able to get a quick appt. When I mentioned our high deductible they pointed me to Publix that gives out free amoxicillian. Great tip. Additionally when I told her that we were going to see Dr. Elliott she got totally excited (even though she had a 102 temp), and dressed in her "rockstar outfit" to see him. Dr. Elliott is an amazing doctor and I highly recommend him, especially if you are a first time parent. He is very personable with the kids and knows how to help them feel comfortable and laugh even when they don't feel well. He is full of great information and I never feel like he's trying to rush me out the office. We also have had great experiences with the office itself, even during the time when there were issues with our insurance company. The office is bright, clean, and super friendly! read more

I have a 12 day old and I couldn't be more impressed with this practice. After a particularly rough labor and delivery, they took great care of my son (they thought he may have an infection). Even after he was cleared, the doctors that came by took great care with him and spent a lot of time talking to me! Dr Elliott is fantastic, and we've also seen dr Koenig and dr Bramwell and we really liked each of them as well. After we got home, we all got really bad colds and our son had a terrible cough. I was able to get in to see a doctor right away and there wasn't any wait at all, despite the particularly bad flu season. I thought the doctor would think I was an overly worried first time mom but she spent a lot of time with me and my son and said it was good that we came in. So far I am very happy with this practice. read more

Not a fan of PP. Piedmont hospital complex is a cluster in general, and the office is always quite chaotic and seems unorganized. Some of the doctors seem good, but are very quick. The wait is often absurd. Guess just a typical medical practice these days. read more

um, I would not recommend Dr. Weil. I took my son there and did not have a good experience. He didn't listen to me when I told him that my son had already recieved a certain vaccination. And, he ended up getting the same shot twice. Then he blamed me for it. So nice. Also, he doesn't believe in "junk science" so if you have any hesitations about giving your child the MMR shot (the autism shot), your not going to get any sympathy there. He will simply refer you to another doctor. Nice touch. read more
