Over the years I have had many dentists and ample dental work. Braces, pulled teeth, cavities and crowns. Dr Melnyk has been by far the best dentist I've ever had. I have been her patient for over 5 years now and her work has always been top notch. She takes great care in her work and it shows. Every procedure has always been relatively painless, you won't even feel the anesthetic injection. I don't know how she does it! And most off all everyone there is so friendly and helpful. Okay. . Wow. Hands down one of the best dentist office I've ever been to!!! Staff were all super courteous and friendly. I came in with suspicion of needing a wisdom tooth out after a couple days of aching I finally manned up and called Ana's office. (I am terrified of anything to do with dentistry). She told me she could squeeze me in a the next day and take some x-rays to get a clearer picture. After X-rays we're done she explained to me what was going on and that If I felt comfortable enough she could take care of it right then and there!!!! I said sure why not and next thing I knew some 25/30 min later I had less pain and was on my way home to rest off the surgery. She was very nice and explained the whole process to me to ease my nerves. I feel like I am no longer scared of going to the dentist and I will Definitely be going back regularly! 5 STARS! MY BEST EXPERIENCE WITH ANY DOCTOR! I came to Dr Melnyk's to get a wisdom tooth removed. I had been dealing with some pain for a couple months and I decided it was time to get it pulled. Other clinics I had contacted told me the procedure for 1 tooth could cost me up to $2000!! I searched around for the best dentist nearby and am so glad I waited to find the right place because Dr Melnyk did it for a fraction of that price and she helped me answer some other dentistry questions I've had. I am truly thankful that I met Dr Melnyk and she really did a great job with me, a simple extraction without needing full sedation. (The pain wasn't that bad anyway, I am writing this about 6 hours after) Thank you so much again! Highly recommend!! read more

I am so so happy I found Dr. Melnyk and her amazing staff! I've gotten all of my dental work done including routine cleanings and have had nothing but amazon experiences each time, which is not something you usually say about a dentist trip! The office is conveniently located, has plenty of parking in the back, and is always air-conditioned and cool - sometimes too cool, so bring a sweater! Scheduling appointments is a breeze and their reminders via text and phone are so helpful and cheerful. Dr. Melnyk herself is very kind and caring with an excellent bedside manner. She explains the procedures thoroughly and genuinely cares for her patients and their dental health. From the front office to the doctor herself, this practice is top notch! Everyone there is very kind and helpful, which helps eliminate the stress associated with getting dental work done. I came to see Dr. Melnyk because an old filling came out of one of my molars. They managed to get me an appointment just a couple days later. Signing in at the office was fast and easy. From tone of her voice to her mannerisms and speech, I could tell Dr. Melnyk was a caring and gentle doctor. She is very conversational, attentive but most importantly skilled. She took her time carefully building the filling to make sure it would produce a strong, high quality result. Throughout the procedure she was always making sure I was comfortable and free of pain. I had been long overdue for a dental cleaning so my gums were bleeding a lot during the procedure. Rather than risk contamination of the filling, Dr. Melnyk reorganized her schedule so that I could come the next day for a cleaning and then the following day to finish the edge of the filling which would have been in contact with blood from my gums. Getting dental work done is never fun or enjoyable, but with Dr. Melnyk I felt at ease knowing she would create an excellent new filling for me and make my teeth much healthier. Her cash rates are very fair so don't be afraid to visit her if you don't have insurance and need something done ASAP like I did. I highly recommend Dr. Melnyk's dental practice! read more

I can't say enough good things about Dr Melnyk and her staff. I used to be absolutely terrified of going to the dentist, so much so that I avoided going for years. Finally, after living for years in pain I sucked it up, got insurance and looked for a dentist in my area. The entire staff took the time to tell me exactly what needed to be done to fix my teeth and made sure that I was comfortable and cared for during each visit. I can't say anything but incredible things about Dr. Ana C Melnyk and her amazing staff. First and foremost I hated going to the dentist when I was younger and while active duty in the Navy. I've now had Dr Ana replace a 8 year old crown, 9 fillings on numerous surfaces, 4 deep cleanings done and had a custom night guard made. Any time that I have had any discomfort she's quick to making me feel comforted and relaxed. I remember the first time I opened up the entry door and was greeted kindly and with the utmost professionalism and respect. I'm covered in tattoos as if I just got out of prison and was not judged or stereotyped, but instead they learned I was a US Marshal and a former Navy Veteran. I now have this joke going around my family that my new hobby is going to Dr Ana to have work done. It's by far the best dentist around Los Angeles. PERIOD!!! My mouth was a mess but Dr. Melnyk is not! She is a wonderful dentist. She is informative and explains my options. She has made room in her schedule for me in emergency situations. She sincerely cares that your dental needs are met and she cares about you as a person. She and her staff have called me at home to check on me after more serious dental procedures to be sure I'm okay. Sadly, I have moved too far to have her as my dentist but amazingly she still calls to be sure I'm okay and my teeth are being taken care of! Full disclosure: Dr. Melnyk was/is a family friend before being our family's dentist for the last 15 years. That being said, I've been to many dentist over my lifetime. Some better than others. I had one dentist that wanted to put on a crown 20 years ago. That tooth just needed the ancient filling replaced recently. Dr. Melnyk is kind and compassionate and makes sure you are comfortable. She also lets you know exactly what is going on with your teeth. I had an old filling replaced recently and it was pain-free. The new filling is so much smoother than the old one it's amazing. My wife has had a crown and a veneer done by Dr. Melnyk and she is very happy as well. The new veneer is better than the original. The original veneer fell off after 16 years of wearing it. My kids don't like going to the dentist in general: like most people. But Dr. Melnyk has videos for the kids while they are waiting for Mom or Dad and plenty of reading material for all ages. Overall it's a pleasure having our family's dental care done by Dr. Melnyk. read more

As someone with numerous implants, bridges, crowns, etc. it is always a pain to find a dentist when I move to a new town. Melnyk has been a great comfort, working around my prosthetics and transparent about every step during procedures she's taking. This was the most awkward Dentist visit I've ever had. I went in as an emergency visit to get a crown put back. They kept reiterating that I should go back to my old dentist to see if they can do work on me. I asked for an appointment for a routine check up and they where really hesitant on giving me an appointment. I don't know if race has to do with it or what but felt really uncomfortable in that office. I don't recommend any body going to them if you're a new patient. They even questioned my insurance because it was from another state. Don't know how a business like this can make people feel this way. read more

Dr. Melnyk is great. Nobody likes going to the dentist but she and her team take great care to make you feel comfortable. Dr. M always takes time to discuss what she's doing and answer your questions. I had to have a tooth crowned and she was great and patient with my fitting which i find difficult to do when your jaw in numb. She encouraged me to come back at no additional cost if I needed the bite adjusted. All was good and I enthusiastically recommend her. Shes a nice person and an excellent dentist. read more

Dr. MeInyk and her staff are very nice and accommodating. I have an aversion to metal and they used a plastic mirror that helped me tolerate the dentist a ton! A couple weeks after my filling was replaced, I still had pain in my tooth and they saw me at no cost, took x-rays even, and diagnosed the problem. The space is a bit run down as far as equipment and just the aesthetics of the office but the people make up for it. I wish my insurance hadn't changed or I'd still be going to Dr. MeInyk. read more

My entire family of wife, son and daughter have been going to Dr. Ana for the past 20 years or so. She and her entire staff are just wonderful. She is very knowledgeable, caring and experienced. Her staff deals with payment issues very well and really do go the extra mile to make you feel at home. It's a modest neighborhood dentist office in Tujunga but you don't pay for the high rise rent either. She deals with pain problems quickly and I don't have complaints in this area.
