All of the cooking classes I have attended come with some kind of amenities - a welcome cocktail, wine bar, cheese and crackers, hot coffee/tea, etc. Something. This class was three hours long and there was nothing offered but water and iced tea (on a 20 degree day). We also did not receive any kind of information prior to the class, so parking was like solving a mystery (hint: the parking lot is behind the house down a side alleyway)

With so many employees on hand (and friendly and helpful as well!), I didn't feel like my kids were in danger. The majority of the activities are for kids older than my own, maybe for ages 5-12? My 3 year-old could do some of the obstacle courses and the small kids' bounce house. My 17 month-old could do the small bounce house and I took her down two of the slides, but it was not easy to get up while carrying a small child. There are many bounce houses and inflatable slides, a trampoline, a small laser tag maze, and other related things. There is also a small children area with giant blocks and childrens' toys, but not much else. I thought $9 was a bit steep for two hours (or less) of play and was surprised they don't have longer periods of play time. But my daughters enjoyed their time there and I would probably go back when they are a bit older. It's worth checking out. As I mentioned, the staff was great and made my daughters' experience great.

I do enjoy that for the bdays, they seem to know what they're doing and have some organized processes to ensure birthday room activites start at a specific time and food comes out on time and all that. I had a great conversation with the owner who's name is escaping me right this second, but he was such a great guy very friendly, and willing to work with any situation is needed. I talked to him about some of the organizations that I'm involved with in Columbus and it sounds like there might be some opportunity to work with him in my future. Of course I will update my review if I work with him and how that experience goes but overall I'm excited about this new location and I hope that you consider them for your next event !

The venue was cute, spacious, and had plenty of room for all the amazing local authors showcasing their work -- plus a little game room in the back for some extra fun. (You know I love a well-rounded event!) Highlights: * Met incredible authors like Larry Robertson (wordssavedlives.com), Signe Damron (signe-ture.com), Jordan Burton (theartbyjburt.com), Joseph Doherty (joeydoherty.com), Sylvia Harris (srdharrisbooks.com), and Lachandra Baker (lbbedutainment.com). * Copped two animated kids' books for $25 -- signed directly to my beau's niece, who immediately clutched them like treasures. ("It says my name!" she screamed as her mom got guilt-tripped into reading them...again. ) AND I got a book of poetry from Larry, and will plan to visit Jordan's art exhibit at ROY G BIV before the end at May 2nd! It warmed my heart to recognize faces from the Main Library Literary Fair, the First Annual Poetry Festival, and Zora's House events. Considering my ancestors risked their lives to read, I don't take the beauty of these moments lightly. Major love and respect to everyone keeping the literary flame alive. They thoroughly entertained themselves for a good hour & then Chet stepped & organized some challenging games. Everyone had a great time! The host and servers were absolutely phenomenal. I tried the Cranberry Autumn Tea and my date had the Bartlett Pear, both were outstanding. It really pains…read moreme to take 2 stars off my normal 5 star experience but hopefully they will read the review (and the feedback I provided to the manager) and use it to return to their 5 star experience. On my most recent visit this month there was a noticeable shift in food quality and service. Our server was new to the team so I give him grace as he ramps up his learning curve. Other issues came from the kitchen. I learned that the tea house is under new management so hopefully they can get up to speed. Issues included: 1)about 45 mins to get our tea. Scones arrived and were eaten before the first drop of tea arrived at our table. Despite being ordered at same time. 2)the orange chicken salad is now shredded instead of ground. It was the unique ground up texture that I loved. I really don't even like chicken salad lol but the old recipe was much better than the new. 3)the carrot salad was basically just carrots with a dollop of dressing in bottom of the cup. The carrots had no dressing on them at all. 4) sausage quiche went half eaten by those who ordered at our table. These may seem like small things but when coupled with multiple requests for water, tea, and waving down the waiter for service it made for a very frustrating visit at what was previously my favorite little restaurant in Columbus. Fortunately the atmosphere is still lovely and the scones, cream and jam were on point.
