I was sooo lucky to have found Candace. She literally opens her home to the dogs in her care. Dogs spend their time at her lovely house and are allowed to come in and out throughout the day. There were a few other dogs staying with Candace at the same time as my dog, and these guys were so sweet and playful. (Candace does a wonderful job screening her clients to make sure everyone is safe, happy, and comfortable.) Leaving your dogs in her care is like leaving your dogs with a family member. My dogs instantly trusted her, and so did I. I was able to enjoy my vacation without worrying about my pets. She even sent me photos to help put my mind at ease. Candace is the BEST, and I highly recommend her to all dog owners who do not want to board their loved ones in kennels.

This company has major problems with internal communication…read more There is also a complete lack of communication with me about changing the walker last minute, despite repeated requests and complaints about this happening again and again. When I first started with this dog walking company, I spoke with the owner Elizabeth who was very reassuring and seemed to have a process in place for getting anxious dogs familiar with their walker. We started off well, with slow meet and greets with our designated walker, and with a plan to start getting my dog familiar with her backup walker. However, after 5 months, they started sending a third walker without notifying me at all. I called and spoke with the owner, who again reassured me. However, this continued to happen, and I learned that our training plan for the backup walker was never communicated. I was redirected to the manager JC, who also stated he would get to the bottom of the issue and solve it, but they continue to send a different walker without notifying me beforehand.

In less than an HOUR Honey had been stung, treated and returned home. This is our second fast ride for a bee sting and both times this place has responded to us in an amazingly fast, calm and professional way. A tech/vet came out and spoke to us in about 3 minute intervals, letting us know what was going on. They instantly calmed me down, as I knew that Honey was going to be okay, and she is. I had some minor concerns about my previous vet, name and details withheld. That, and how close FF is, made me give them a try. That was several years ago, and I'm so glad I did! One of my cats needs to be shaved every few months - she gets serious clumps. She used to get put under anesthesia to have this done. Dr. Baigelman said he thought he could do it without putting her under. This cat is rather opinionated, so I was skeptical, but sure enough! The first time was the only time he took her in the back room. He does it right in front of me. It's incredible! And as others have said, the staff are fantastic also, every one of them. They all care. I haven't had any experience with Dr. Bleck, but other people I know say he's just as good with people and animals as Dr. Baigelman is. I know all of this should be a given at a vet's office, but it isn't. PS - the place is always sparkling clean. Again, that shouldn't be noteworthy. Almost every vet's office I've been to has been sparkling clean. Only almost all of them.

York Bark & Play makes sure all of their clients are up to date on immunizations. Their facility is very neat and quite roomy. They offer many options for my dogs stay, including hours of socialization. My girls had to stay over an extra night and York Bark & Play had no problem accommodating them. When I picked them up, they were freshly shampooed and relaxed. They were tired out from all the socialization! When we pulled into York Bark & Play a couple of weeks later (just to see how they'd react) they got excited. A place they are happy to go must have treated them very well indeed.
