STUNNING job. Came in on Sunday right before Memorial Day with only a phone call notice, and Amy was able to squeeze me in immediately. I haven't had my hair cut in 2 years, and asked for a face frame shoulder length hair. I was worried because my hair is naturally curly, and many hairstylists have trouble doing that correctly. Couldnt be happier, i have very thick and curly hair, usually people have a hard time with it. Im not typically very trusting of new stylists but I have heard good things about Amy. Lets just say this was the nicest haircut and blowout I've ever had and it took less than an hour for the whole process and that's with me adding my eyebrows (which also look amazing).. don't let the location fool you, this is a top of the line salon as far as quality. With that being said the place could use a little organization. .. they sell jewelry and purses as well for a great price but they aren't displayed as well as they could be... if this place set up as more of a boutique layout I think they would be unstoppable. . I've been all over the place and honestly didn't expect this for the walled lake area, they use top of the line kerastase products and they know what they are doing. This is my new spot for sure! Also, one last thing, amy... adorable! She reminds you of a character off" my big fat Greek wedding" And I love her! New favorite... seriously... trust me on this one. Went to Amy Salon for the first time after reading online reviews. Amy eventually wasn't interested in what I wanted as my haircut turned out to be everything I DIDN'T want! I went in looking for an angled bob cut that was supposed to have been left longer than my jawline. What I got was an extremely short haircut with zero angle whatsoever and cut so short above my jawline that I can't even curl it with my curling iron! At the end she tried distracting me from the cut by WOW, WOW, WOWING over the highlights she had given me which were few and far between! Haircut and highlights and I was out of there in an hour! We stopped in to Amy Salon out of necessity. My son's hair was way overdue to be cut. Because of the CoVid-19 crisis, a lot of places are closed, including all of the hair salons near us. Dave got us right in, and gave my son a great haircut. He even showed him how to properly style it. His price was a little higher than we usually pay, but my son had a great experience and loves his new haircut. We are likely to return. read more

After my regular stylist cancelled on me an hour before my appointment, Amy was the first place I called, expecting to be turned down for a last minute cut and color. Surprisingly, they got me in right away. When I explained what I wanted, Amy took the time to share her 23+ years experience that allowed me to let her do what she thought was best--one of the best decisions ever. All the staff helped with getting my crazy long and thick hair highlighted, lowlighted, and cut. Felt like I was being catered to the whole time! Also, everyone was very friendly and kept the conversation going (you know that stylist that goes quiet after the initial 5 polite questions that makes you retreat to your phone to not feel awkward) Amy was not that salon. Amy and her son cut and highlighted my hair about a month ago. They treated me like a movie star and everyone thought my hair was stunning! It was a very dramatic change for me and I thought it would never look the same once I walked out, BUT it's practically carefree! I was more than impressed with their kindness and expertise and cannot recommend them highly enough. I am late in posting my review because of my mom's fairly sudden death, but I didn't want to go without letting the world know of my pleasure in having my hair styled professionally for the very first time. This was probably the worst salon experience of my life. I would not recommend anyone try this salon. I went in looking to have my hair dyed. I went in before to ask and make sure that they were experienced in doing an ombré dye. When I spoke to Amy she sounded like she knew what she was talking about so I decided to schedule my appointment. When I showed up I brought 2 pictures showing exactly what I wanted. She started dying my hair and I felt like she was rushing. When she got to where I could see exactly what she was doing I was concerned because it looked like she was being sloppy. So she had my hair set, washed and conditioned, and then she cut it. She asked if I wanted it blow dried (for an extra $25) and I decided I would rather not because I usually hate how salons add all the product and never part in the same spot that I like. When I declined she seemed to get offended and shamed me into getting it dried (which ultimately I agreed to because I wanted to see the color dried). I only asked that she part it back on the side for me. So she dried it and still didn't part it on the side. It was fine, I wasn't going to make a big deal about the part. Then she decided that she wanted to style it too. She doused my hair in hairspray before curling it and then doused it again while the hair was on the wand. My hair felt like it literally had wax in it. It felt so dirty. And the curl didn't even hold! So she continued to add more hair spray and decides to tell me that the curls weren't holding because she deep conditioned it (which led me to question why she decided to curl it in the first place if the curls wouldn't hold). Well I ran out of there as fast as I could so I could get home and wash the 5 gallons of hairspray out of my hair and part it where I wanted it parted. When I got it dried I realized why she insisted on curling it...the color was horrible. Instead of the color gradually going from my natural color (brown) to blonde. It literally looked like I just dipped half of my hair in bleach. There was not gradual change. Not only was it not gradual, but there were also patches of my natural color in the blonde. And I'm not talking streaks (like highlights) I literally mean patches. I looked like a leopard! It was awful. When I called to speak to her she said that there were no patches and that I didn't know what I was talking about. She offered to have me come in so she could look at it/fix it, but needless to say there was no way I would ever let that woman touch my hair again. Long story short: If you want to ruin your hair, give Amy Salon a shot! But if you actually want your hair to look nice and professionally done, DO NOT even walk through the door. read more
