What set Catherine apart from every other vendor we worked with was that she didn't just reply to the questions in an email--she called and had an hour-long conversation with me about our wedding, what we were looking for in a photographer, and just learned more about ourselves personally. I immediately felt like she was more of a friend than a vendor. Not only were she and her fantastic assistant, Kyla, very quick to respond and communicative, but they went above and beyond. They helped provide recommendations for other vendors and even offered advice on how I should do my hair when I expressed I was torn between a few options. I also appreciated her honesty with the area and how pictures would turn out. We floated the idea driving to some other locations along the lake, but she noted that the light would be too harsh at that time and the location would take us away from our wedding for too long. She knows that area like the back of her hand, and made sure we got the best results. Fast-forward to the wedding day, and our experience with her was nothing short of amazing. Not only did she make us feel comfortable doing a lot of different poses, but she knew exactly what to do and how to arrange the furniture and lighting--and did it quickly. This is a wedding day with Craig Merrill as your photographer. And you will enjoy every minute of it. 2500 pictures taken, 400 keepers, and about 200 first class top-notch quality shots. And you get all of them on CD's. Craig likes B&W, Reservoir Dogs, and spontaneity. Only 4 stars because one of the 14 CD's was blank and I still haven't received it. When I get it, he goes to 5 stars - instantly.

First phone call, Adriana asked all kinds of questions to know about our family and determine exactly what we were looking for from our photographer and our photos. She understands how important the little one's condition is for the beautiful pictures. She is approachable and flexible in working with our family to find a perfect time for the birthday boy. During 2 hour party, she never lost her patience and energy. She was friendly and fun to work with, and had plenty of tricks for getting delighted smiles out of our baby boy. It was very impressive that she was great at helping us pose and got some amazing photos from very uncooperative 5 other kids. While the birthday boy is taking rest, she kept taking pictures of every moment of all people in the party. Of course, everything arrived as promised. I had Nancy do photo session with my daughter Alexa, she was 3 months old then. The session started in early morning, Nancy wanted to make sure that we caught good light that will compliment my daughter and she really paid a lot of attention to the background, the pictures have this amazing morning freshness. Working with babies is the hardest because they simply don't know how to pose and they are not patient but Nancy was good in directing her. We got to the session and it turned out that Alexa got hungry so we had to feed her but Nancy was was super patient and was setting up the background, picking up the blankets that will look best against Alexa's skin color. I absolutely love the ultramarine blue that she picked for her. She made all of us feel very comfortable. Even though the session was for my daughter she decided to take coupe shots of me and my husband, she even included our dog in few shots. It turned out to be the best photo session that we had, not only Alexa got great shots but me and my husband as well. As we all know kids grow so fast and Nancy was able to capture very precious moments that will stay with us forever! Alexa looks very sweet and playful on the pictures. Having Jodee photograph our wedding was the BEST decision we could have made…read more I had found Jodee scouring wedding websites right after my husband and I got engaged. As most newly engaged couples might agree - beginning the planning, hiring and booking process for the big day is no small task. There are so many amazing vendors out there, beautifully designed websites with eye-catching wedding inspo - it can all feel extremely overwhelming. I reached out to Jodee through her homepage, we exchanged emails and scheduled an introductory phone call. From that initial call I knew I had met someone truly spectacular. She was friendly, professional, well-spoken, informative, not pushy and really just a lovely person to communicate with. We booked Jodee within the week and scheduled our engagement photoshoot. All of her documents, paperwork, contracts and payment methods were online which made the hiring process crystal clear. We knew exactly what we had signed up for, what to expect, and she even sent guidelines and photo inspiration for what to wear for our engagement photoshoot. Upon meeting Jodee in person my husband and I were thrilled to have found her. She went above and beyond making us feel relaxed and natural during our first day together (which is no easy thing to do). Being in front of a camera is a really odd experience - but Jodee made it feel like we had both been modeling our entire lives. We also asked a lot of her when we chose 3 separate locations for the shoot, all 3 of which she commuted to for us. She boarded our sailboat for a cruise to the SB wharf and afterwards got in a wetsuit to shoot us surfing at Leadbetter. I have the fondest memories of that day all thanks to Jodee. Jodee is creative, kind, funny, energetic - and a very intuitive/unique photographer. Her eye for artistic angles/light/backgrounds is something that cannot be taught. After the engagement shoot she was prompt in editing and sending us our images - and we could not wait for the wedding day because we both knew we were in the best hands. Jodee helped make my husband and I both feel at ease on our big day when she chose a knowledgable second shooter to follow the boys and met with me and the bride tribe day of. She caught intimate moments without intruding, had my dad laughing and our families both complimenting what a light she was the entire day. The wedding day is such a whirlwind experience, Jodee was our rock. We have memories to cherish for our lifetime thanks to her. It is difficult to put into words how special she is. Michelle shot my wedding in October of 2007 and I have to say I really didn't know what to expect…read more I knew she came highly recommended from friends and I had seen a little bit of her work, but my then fiance and I felt like we were taking a bit of a gamble. The wedding was a blast, Michelle shot away,...then our photos are ready. When I opened the first album of photos I literally started to cry. I wore my mother's wedding shoes for my wedding and Michelle had captured them so beautifully. Every page that I turned with my husband we grew happier and more pleased with what we saw. If I can describe Grace with one word, that word would be a NINJA. Here's why:…read more 1) She is extremely professional. No matter how unruly my groomsmen and bridesmaids were and no matter how overwhelmingly hectic my wedding was (I have a really big family), she maintained a calm demeanor and was able to take the best pictures any bride can ask for. 2) She blended in the crowd and I never noticed her taking pictures. She was silent and was able to get the shots she needed. I've been to other weddings where the photographers are obnoxious and they have no regard for obstructing guests' view. Grace was the complete opposite. She was mindful of my guests and she knew where to stand to get the best pictures without blocking anybody's view. You won't even know she's there taking your pictures. When I got my pictures from her, there were many photos where I said to myself "I don't remember that.... Well, I'm really glad she caught that on film." (for example: my ring bearer and flower girls taking turns giving me a kiss while I was getting ready). 3) She was very efficient and handled her "weapons" well.... weapons to capture the most precious moments. She reminded me of Tomb Raider Lara Croft because she had two holsters that were wrapped around her but instead of guns, she had camera equipment. When she switched out lenses, she was very fast. I felt confident that my wedding was in the hands of a pro. 4) I love her journalistic style: nothing posey or staged. She was able to capture emotions on my guests' faces. I absolutely love candid photos and she really knows what angles to use to make everybody look good. I am serious when I say that she made everybody look good. A couple of my guests turned her candid photos into their profile pictures on Facebook -- proof that everybody loves the moments she captured. 5) She did an excellent job with editing my photos. It rained pretty hard on my wedding, but you won't even notice that from the pictures she sent me. Everybody was pretty stressed because of the rain and because we were running behind schedule. She managed to highlight the happiness in the wedding (even managed to capture the antics of my comedic groomsmen). Like a well trained ninja wielding precision katana blades, she edited my photos to perfection and my husband and I are so ecstatic that we hired her as our photographer. Your wedding photos are stuck with you for the rest of your life so you might as well hire the best, someone who can guarantee you kick-ass photos. They were hired for my daughters wedding last October in Sonoma. The photographers were at the…read moreevent early and were almost invisable throughout the entire day. Naturally we were delighted when the photographs came to see all they had captured. I don't recall seeing them at the ceremony and yet the face of the groom as the bride came down the isle, the intimate shots during vows, all the way through the dinner and speeches. And I don't know how they were able to get dancing snapshots without being on the dance floo,r but they did! The lighting in the photographs is magical. The use of the sunset to highlight the veil or hair of the bride and to frame the bride and groom in the field of golden grass. Honestly every photo is a work of art. A few photos I wanted of the family and the bride and groom and their siblings were staged but for the most part, very candid photos that captured the happiness and joy of the day. Candid shots of the faces of the guests captured their individual personalities as though she'd known them for years. My biggest problem now is trying to figure out which of the 1,000 photos I want in an album because I love them all.
