Having Jodee photograph our wedding was the BEST decision we could have made. I had found Jodee scouring wedding websites right after my husband and I got engaged. As most newly engaged couples might agree - beginning the planning, hiring and booking process for the big day is no small task. There are so many amazing vendors out there, beautifully designed websites with eye-catching wedding inspo - it can all feel extremely overwhelming. I reached out to Jodee through her homepage, we exchanged emails and scheduled an introductory phone call. From that initial call I knew I had met someone truly spectacular. She was friendly, professional, well-spoken, informative, not pushy and really just a lovely person to communicate with. We booked Jodee within the week and scheduled our engagement photoshoot. All of her documents, paperwork, contracts and payment methods were online which made the hiring process crystal clear. We knew exactly what we had signed up for, what to expect, and she even sent guidelines and photo inspiration for what to wear for our engagement photoshoot. Upon meeting Jodee in person my husband and I were thrilled to have found her. She went above and beyond making us feel relaxed and natural during our first day together (which is no easy thing to do). Being in front of a camera is a really odd experience - but Jodee made it feel like we had both been modeling our entire lives. We also asked a lot of her when we chose 3 separate locations for the shoot, all 3 of which she commuted to for us. She boarded our sailboat for a cruise to the SB wharf and afterwards got in a wetsuit to shoot us surfing at Leadbetter. I have the fondest memories of that day all thanks to Jodee. Jodee is creative, kind, funny, energetic - and a very intuitive/unique photographer. Her eye for artistic angles/light/backgrounds is something that cannot be taught. After the engagement shoot she was prompt in editing and sending us our images - and we could not wait for the wedding day because we both knew we were in the best hands. Jodee helped make my husband and I both feel at ease on our big day when she chose a knowledgable second shooter to follow the boys and met with me and the bride tribe day of. She caught intimate moments without intruding, had my dad laughing and our families both complimenting what a light she was the entire day. The wedding day is such a whirlwind experience, Jodee was our rock. We have memories to cherish for our lifetime thanks to her. It is difficult to put into words how special she is. I would recommend Jodee all day everyday - and can confidently say that had Jodee not been our photographer our day would not have been as magical as it was. She is natural friend, intelligent artist and brilliant human. Her attention to detail and ability to put everyone around her at ease can be seen and felt in all the beautiful images she has captured. XO read more

If you're looking for a wedding photography, look no further! My husband and I could not speak more highly of Jodee and her expertise in taking beautiful photos. In addition to producing amazing pictures, Jodee was simply a delight to be around during our pre-wedding shoots and wedding day. Of all the vendor, she had the most "tech savvy" platform and it was easy to navigate communication, costs, package deals, add-on, etc. All around wonderful experience and would definitely hire her again! read more

Jodee captures authentic moments better than any photographer I have ever worked with, and I work in fashion so that says something. She brings original ideas to photo shoots, and her infectious charisma makes her subjects feel comfortable enough to just be themselves. She is professional and her photos are some of my most treasured possessions. Sincerely, Nicole read more

Jodee is the light your wedding needs. She is the most lovely upbeat and talented person. She will make you feel relaxed and beautiful and your experience with her will be so much fun. Jodee was recommended to me by a friend who knew her personally and chose her to photograph her own wedding. Jodee was the first decision I made in my wedding planning journey (it was a no brainer after seeing her beautiful work and instantly loving her personality when we chatted over FaceTime), and she became patient zero for my whole vendor team. She recommended my incredible planner Christine Garrison and gave me so many other great tips along the way. My (now) husband and I ended up using Jodee for our engagement shoot in New York and our rehearsal dinner & wedding in the SF Bay Area. Jodee brought so much creativity and positive energy to both experiences, she was an absolute joy to work with and generally to be around. Her photography style is very natural so she'll come up with infinite creative ways to make sure you are comfortable and she is capturing genuine moments. She will read your chemistry and style and feed you prompts to ensure that the intimacy and happiness reflected in the photos is organic, spontaneous, and real. She's also efficient and intuitive. She'll do her homework to make sure she's checking off all the must have boxes for your event but she'll also pull you and your partner away when she senses you're overwhelmed or might want a moment just the two of you. More than anything, Jodee is just fun to be around. My husband and I found ourselves disappointed when it was time for her to leave, not because we needed more photos, but because she's just good company and brings great energy to the party. I cannot recommend Jodee enough. She is so great and our photos (which we already had just 2 days later!) are GORGEOUS. read more

JODEE IS THE BEST! From start to finish Jodee was professional, classy, and super friendly. Having come highly recommended from a friend, we hired her for our engagement shoot and she far exceeded any expectations that we had (and we are picky people). PRIOR TO SHOOT: We met over lattes and discussed with Jodee the overall look and feel that we wanted to portray through our photos. She took us through her portfolio, discussed locations we could shoot at, and gave us advice for the day of the shoot (what to wear, what NOT to wear, where to go, etc) that really calmed our nerves. DAY BEFORE SHOOT: Jodee sent us a drop-pin location with instructions on where to meet. This was super helpful as we were venturing into no-cell service territory. DAY OF SHOOT: She was prepared. With her positive and upbeat energy she guided us effortlessly through the day. I was afraid we would run out of poses or not know what we are doing but her creative eye and instruction ensured that never happened. She made my Fiancé and I feel comfortable and confident. I CANNOT express how important this is when you're looking for a photographer. AFTER SHOOT: The anticipation of viewing our photos after such an exciting day didn't have to last long because Jodee provided us with a "sneak peek" on our social channels. Shortly after she followed with all of our edited photos. Let me tell you, we were SPEECHLESS. The photos are breathtaking, my mom cried when she saw them. Yes, that good. We will certainly cherish them forever. After such an amazing experience, we can't wait for Jodee to shoot our destination wedding in Dominican Republic. read more

Jodee photographed our wedding a few months ago and did a phenomenal job from start to finish. Her pictures came out fantastic and everyone who's seen them has complimented us. We found Jodee through a referral from our DJ. They had both worked at our venue previously which helped a lot. It seems like Jodee's been everywhere because she travels all over for weddings. Jodee put my wife and I at ease from the beginning. She has such a sweet, bubbly personality that she really made us feel comfortable in front of the camera. She did a great job on our engagement and wedding photos. We highly recommend her to capture your special day. read more

I can't give enough praise on how amazing Jodee's photos are! She is so helpful from the very beginning of the process. I sent over my inspiration photos for our Holiday pictures and she brought them to life better then i could have ever imagined! Not only are her photos spectacular, but the entire process was simple and fun! Jodee really knows how to capture an angle to make you look your best! Also, she sent the link to our images the next day!!!! Her site is so easy to navigate, download and share. I can't wait for our next photoshoot! read more

We used Jodee for our engagement photos as a trial session before the wedding. We had an in depth discussion and gave Jodee our wedding date to hold it. On the positive, we really like her shooting and editing style which is what attracted us to her in the first place. Our engagement photos came out great and we are so happy to have them. On the negative, we were really disappointed when we learned, 2 months before our wedding, that a "surprise trip" had come up and she was unable to do it. Jodee has great energy and talent, but declining the wedding 2 months before was frustrating. We realize there wasn't a contract fully in place, but felt like we had clearly discussed holding the date. Nevertheless, the photos came out great, would just recommend additional clarity when securing a date and hope she'll do this with future customers. read more

Jodee was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding in Cabo San Lucas! You can look at her photos and see for yourself the amazing work she does, but that's only the half of it. What really makes Jodee such an incredible photographer is her ability to make you feel comfortable, like your working with a friend you've known for years. Looking back at our wedding, not only do we have the best memories captured forever, but we built a friendship that will last just as long. We love you Jodee! read more

I hired Jodee for my engagement shoot because I wanted photos that were fun, creative, and showed our personality as a couple. Jodee exceeded our expectations! We hired her to take our photos in New York City and it was such a relaxed and fun experience. Jodee makes you feel so comfortable and special. Our photos ended up looking so natural because there was no awkwardness whatsoever. She also had really great ideas about where to shoot. As a surprise and at no cost to us, Jodee booked a GORGEOUS loft space that had a rooftop overlooking the city. It was perfect for the style of photo shoot we were looking for. Once I posted the engagement photos online, I cannot tell you how many compliments I got. All of my friends said they want to book her when they get engaged and married. Jodee is amazing. Hire her!!! You will not regret it. read more

Words can't describe how positive our experience was with Jodee Debes Photography. Jodee was absolutely amazing!!! From the initial conversation via Skype to shooting our engagement, rehearsal and wedding day, everything exceeded my expectations. Jodee knew how to get wedding guests comfortable in front of the camera in order to capture perfect moments. She also captured a lot of moments that I missed day of, so it was so much fun re-living the moments through her photography. Jodee was reasonable in cost and willing to work with us to customize a package. She brought another photographer along to the wedding which was great, as they were able to photograph different moments and happenings that were going on simultaneously. I would hire Jodee again in a heartbeat and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a photographer for any occasion. Everyone should be so lucky to have Jodee photograph their wedding! This was a vendor that was extremely important to me because my fiance and I knew videography was not in our budget. I wanted to be sure we had a photographer that was lively and energetic, but could also capture us authentically. Jodee was the first person we met with, and her personality was exactly what I was looking for. I had several meetings with other potential photographers, but it was really love at first sight with Jodee. She built the perfect package for our needs, and even convinced my fiance that an engagement shoot would be beneficial. We were scared of feeling like the photos seem forced and awkward, but she reassured us and in the end we LOVED the results! On the day of our wedding I felt much more comfortable taking photos for 10 hours, and we learned which poses worked best for us as a couple. Jodee kept in contact with us throughout the planning process, and we met to go over all the complicated family details (and there were a lot) in advance. On the day, it felt like another one of my bridesmaids showed up when Jodee came in smiling. I think of her like a friend, and that made our photos that much more natural. Everyone that sees them is blown away! She captured the romance, vibrancy and detail of every moment - with help from her awesome second shooter. One of my absolute favorite moments of my wedding day is when Jodee took my new husband and I out into the farm of our wedding venue while guests were enjoying cocktails, and encouraged us to just take it all in. Of course she was snapping away to capture a gorgeous sunset, but it really felt like he and I could share the moment in peace. I feel grateful to have such beautiful photos to relive our wedding over and over, thanks to Jodee's talent. I look forward to hiring her for any other occasions we can! read more
