Despite given such short notice (between 3-6 months prior to our wedding), Willis and his team quickly went to work! We got prewedding photos, prewedding video documentary, wedding photos, wedding video teaser, and wedding video (Chinese ceremony and reception). He was extremely polite and accommodating to make sure everything was just as I wanted. We played the prewedding video during our reception and our guests absolutely LOVED it. If you're shy like my husband and I (Public speeches is NOT my forte), I would 100% recommend putting the extra time and money into this! Two years later and I'm still getting a lot of compliments on the video. Everything was perfect, prices were awesome, experience was amazing, and I am so happy with being able to keep this memory forever.

The photos turned out amazing and I was surprised how much light they were able to reflect onto our employee's faces in a dark conference room that only had fluorescent ceiling lights and no windows with natural light coming through. After a phone consultation a couple of days before our shoot to discuss location ideas and angle concerns (Fiance insists that his profile is better than his left...don't ask me why), Desmond met up with us in Yerba Buena Gardens for our engagement session. It was a pretty chilly evening and he stayed with us for about 3 HOURS (for an engagement session!), trying out all different kinds of scenery and poses. I felt guilty that we were taking up too much of his time, but he didn't rush us at all and took his time finding the best light and locations to shoot us; he didn't stop shooting until he knew he had enough diversity of shots to return to us for review. Additionally, Fiance and I are a bit (read: a lot) awkward, so we were anticipating feeling--and looking--like idiots posing for pictures like this. Desmond made us feel completely at ease, though, and by the end of the shoot we were vogue-ing with the best of 'em. I'm pretty sure Fiance snuck Blue Steel in there somewhere as well. The only thing I'm sorry about is that I already booked my wedding photographer before shooting with Desmond--we would have loved to use him for our wedding too!

Desmond and Roxy brought out the natural beauty of my wedding day and helped calm me (semi-bridezilla) and feel at ease--they are extremely organized, patient and tireless! Also, they came before the wedding (for pre-wedding shots) and stayed until the very end which is almost unheard of with many photographers. They took pictures of everything on my checklist. When Desmond and Roxy showed me the slideshow set to the the music of our first dance, I literally cried. It took me right back to the moment. That is what a master photographer does--capture the right moments and bring out your emotions. That is exactly what they did. Viv was immediately our first choice because she has an incredible portfolio of photographing in redwoods and nature which is sometimes very difficult to photograph with the different lighting. We are a bit awkward but from the get go, she was easy to talk to and was also organized. Our wedding was on the casual side so we did not have a planner but Viv was on top of everything and even though we had a day of coordinator, Viv was the one coordinating when it was her time and took lead which was much needed to wrangle everyone. The wedding was a tiny bit chaotic, running behind and rather short but Viv did a fantastic job capturing candid moments and making sure to pull us away for portrait photos away from everyone else before the wedding ended. She was professional and there wasn't a moment where I thought she was distracted. Her work speaks for itself but I really love that she shoots in multiple formats and captures the light and nature around the subjects so clearly and naturally. I often wish our wedding was slightly longer or not running behind because that would have given Viv even more time to take amazing pictures! We are extremely happy with the services all around provided by Usman for our wedding at the SF…read morecity hall. Prior to the wedding, he gave us different options of where we could shoot and provided sample photos for each location. As it got closer, he provided us with estimated time frames for each location and when we should be done, so we could make reservations. We originally wanted pictures at Muir Woods, but he recommended a location that looked just like it but with no one around. There were a few things we were looking for and he exceeded our expectations. The main things were of course quality, responsiveness, and most important the experience. We could tell he has done many city hall pictures before based on the time frames he told us to reserve, knowing exactly where to go for great pictures, and even helped us with the whole check in process for the certificate and ceremony (which could've been very stressful had he not been there to help us). It was busy the day of our wedding, so it took longer than usual but he was patient and still took many photos and provided all of the services provided, though it took longer than we all anticipated. Afterwards, he sent us a link where we can download all of the pictures fairly quickly relative to other photographers. I would highly recommend him for any wedding, and especially the SF City Hall one. We came from out of town so would've been lost without his patience and help throughout the process.
