Andi photographed my wedding as well and I was super satisfied with the whole experience. She sat down with us on more than one occasion to review the shots that we really wanted to get and has spent several hours helping us plan out album. She has a very laid back attitude when she is working an event, but at the same time is very proactive about reminding you about milestones in case you forget in the planning phase. She came with us on our venue walk through to plan where to do the portrait shots and we were able to really maximize our short time at the venue. She gets along great with other vendors and one thing that was extremely important to me, she stays out of the guests way. I hate going to weddings where all you can see during the ceremony is the photographer, and this definitely isn't the case with Andi. And did I mention that she takes great shots? She took some wonderful candid shots of family members that are normally extremely camera shy, which I will treasure forever. Trusting someone to capture one of the most important days in a person's life is never an easy decision. My wife and I were looking for someone with a photojournalistic approach and who could capture the emotion and details of the day. We first came across Andi's work on her website and immediately loved her style. Unlike other photographers we considered, Andi's work was consistent and we loved her entire wedding portfolios and not just a few great pics from many different weddings. Andi is amazing. Not just at photography but as a person. I originally found Andi by looking at pictures of Muir Woods which is where I wanted to propose. I found an amazing picture online and tracked her down as the photographer for it. I contacted her and she was very open to the idea of following us while looking like someone that was just there to enjoy the redwoods. She got the perfect shots of me proposing and then introduced herself to my girlfriend turned fiancee. We had just met but I felt like she was already a friend. We did a shoot in Muir Woods and then went our separate ways. She got our pictures to us in a week and there was a mixture of black and white, color, close ups, and amazingly she was able to get some that showed our intimacy but also the beauty of the huge redwoods. When it was time for my fiancee and I to look for photographers I already knew I wanted Andi to do them right away. We worked out a very reasonable price. Our ceremony was a morning wedding in Monterey, Reception lunch in Carmel, and ended with a sunset picnic at the beach in Carmel. After we told her our plans she asked all the necessary questions to get things organized. Andi was kind enough to drive to the area that morning, and spend all day with us at our three events even though the sunset picnic was a couple hours after the reception. During the whole day she also was able to handle all the family that wanted to take pictures with the limited amount of time perfectly. When we didn't have time to do a certain set of pictures she was able to shift it to another break that we had. Some advice is just to let her do her thing and go with the flow. She knows what she is doing and can handle situations well. She said it will take about three weeks to get our photos to us. It's only been a couple weeks but I'm confident enough to right this review to say she will get them to us in time. Other friends that have gotten married got there pictures in 6 months to even a year so 3 weeks is amazing! After the sunset picnic she lost her phone on the beach somewhere. She was going to look for it herself but there was no way my wife and I were going to let her do that. We jumped at the opportunity to help her without even a second thought. And, as I soon learned, she's also really friendly, professional and easy to work with. During our engagement I was working part time, a full time student and in residency. In other words stressed out to the max. Andi would meet to discuss things when ever was most convenient for me- at my school, a local cafe. She really was easy to get along with. Andi did a wonderful job of capturing the spirit of our wedding celebration and many of the little moments that make the day so memorable. We chose Andi largely because she made us feel so at ease in our first meeting and because we liked her natural style and eye for all special moments - big and small. We also had a lot of kids at our wedding, and I could tell from her blog that she loves photographing little ones. Andi Hatch photographed our wedding, and I would highly recommend her to others. In addition to taking beautiful photographs covering every element of our big day, Andi has a wonderful personality that put me, my guests, and my other vendors very much at ease. She is naturally outgoing, has a great sense of humor, not to mention an eye for photographs. At first I didn't realize how important such personality traits are in choosing a photographer, but given how much a photographer interacts with guests, it is crucial. I found the quality of her photographs to be comparable to much more expensive photographers. Our ceremony was at the Stanford Church, which has a number of photography restrictions making it difficult to shoot there. Nevertheless, the photographs she and her assistants took were gorgeous. The candid shots of the reception were also priceless. Lastly, Andi is extremely well organized. She put all of the photographs on an easy to navigate website that enabled guests to order prints from there directly. She also gave me a cd with all the digital negatives. In addition, the packages she offers are easy to understand, and unlike with some photographers, I didn't feel like I was being nickled and dimed. Where to begin ... I would put 10 stars if I could. Andi, from first meeting to her holiday card, is an absolute gem. She's warm, real, incredibly talented, funny, and an all-around great person to spend time with. She will put you at ease from the moment you meet and will work with you to fit within your budget. From our initial get-to-know-you meeting in a coffeeshop, until the final minutes of a long wedding day, Andi exceeded our expectations the whole way through. She is easy-going, yet professional; courteous and attentive and never overbearing. And she has a great eye for photography (duh!). When we met Andi for our engagement photo session at Pt. Cavallo (under the GG Bridge), we could tell she had arrived early to scope things out. We were really pleased with how the session went and how the photos turned out. Andi put us at ease and was really fun and easy to work with, and she had a great ability to capture special moments and the feeling of the day. We really liked her ability to play off the surroundings and be spontaneous and creative yet produce consistently high-caliber photographs in the end. On the wedding day at the Mt. Home Inn months later is when Andi really shined! She spent so much time with us, from getting ready at the hair salon, to the late night dancing, and she was always cheerful and easygoing. We chose Andi to be our wedding photographer from a tip from my coworker. Andi did her wedding in April 2011 and ours in May 2011. We were so happy to get that referral! My husband is very picky about photography and after we met her, he was very impressed with her and her work! I've had some crazy wedding planning issues that came up but I never had to worry about the wedding photography. Andi is a wonderful person and a fantastic photographer. She photographed our June wedding at the Golden Gate Club, and when I recently received a link to the photos I was crying my eyes out in a good way. She and her assistant really captured all of the joy we were feeling. The getting-ready photos are so fun (even the dogs are included), and the first-look photos are magical. I realized after the wedding that I did not see much of her during the event. But she was everywhere and caught everyhing! A true professional, Andi was fun to work with, always responsive, and most importantly she was unobtrusive on the big day. Of course, she got the necessary group shots, but then she really focused on just capturing the great moments and making them look perfect!
