From the beginning, Alison was professional, flexible, and easy to communicate with. We originally arranged for an engagement shoot with 2 locations, but due to weather issues, we had to reorganize. Alison offered to do a second engagement shoot at the second location and accommodated our schedule as we were planning our Bay Area wedding from out of town. We were so appreciative of her flexibility and her ability to make us feel comfortable during the planning process and in front of the camera. We chose Alison because we wanted a photojournalistic eye to capture the feelings we shared with our guests and she absolutely delivered. I do not believe we could have found another photographer who would have been a better fit. Rebecca was simply amazing. She and my wife discussed many details well in advance and Rebecca's advice and suggestions really helped contribute to our perfect day. She met with us the day before our wedding to do some "before" photos. She captured us touring Anchor Brewing Company (her studio was next door at the time), and then took us to Portrero Hill, The Golden Gate Bridge and Alamo Square Park to stage some of the best photos in our album. Rebecca is so awesome she even picked us up at our hotel and drove us to and from City Hall. That wasn't a part of the package for which we paid but it was such a lovely touch. The album she put together for us was simply stunning. There is nothing that we would have done differently. The one thing I did want though was a professional photographer so we would have beautiful pictures to remind us of our day. I am a researcher and I researched quite a few City Hall photographers, but I kept going back to Rebecca's pictures. They were all so lovely and spontaneous. She has a way of capturing the essence of people--their emotions and expressions come through every picture. No fakey posed stiff "cheese" smiles. Rebecca is just there, as in, she is not at all intrusive. She gives gentle instructions and makes suggestions, but she's not bossy. She makes you feel like it's *your* day and they are *your* pictures and she is just there to enjoy the day with you and is invested in gifting you with pictures you will treasure forever. She has an easy, fun personality and way of being that it makes it feel like she's just a really good friend attending your wedding who also happens to take amazing pictures. She is so un intrusive and seems to honestly enjoy sharing this special time with you. Rebecca is very knowledgeable about San Francisco City Hall weddings, so if you are thinking of that as your venue, I highly recommend her. But honestly, I would highly recommend her for ANY venue or photography need. She is helpful and full of information and really knows what she's doing. Also, I think the shoot was only supposed to last a couple hrs, but she and the other photographer worked with us A LOT longer than a couple hrs. We used Desiree for our destination wedding in Oahu, Hawaii. From the first time we met she was genuinely friendly and I felt so comfortable with her. My husband was deployed at the time, so choosing wedding vendors was left to me. Once he met Desiree and Ed (who was her second photographer, and who also is an amazing photographer) he was so happy with my choice. We also did the pre-wedding photoshoot and she created a theme for us. The pre-wedding and the wedding pictures came out better than we ever could have imagined. All our friends and family loved Desiree and her whole team, they felt like family. To this day our guests still talk about how amazing our pictures look and what amazing photographers we had. She knew all the best photo spots in the building and wasted no time getting us into position for a huge variety of shots. She was super efficient and made the whole process feel fun and relaxed, even while working quickly to capture as much as possible. Her team was also incredibly professional and responsive leading up to the big day. Communication was smooth, and they made sure we felt totally prepared. All of the vendors she recommended-- our hair & makeup artist, our harpist, even the officiant--were fantastic and really added to how seamless and special everything felt.
