I loved her ideas of two different outfits for me to wear and lots of fun poses. I've never been in a professional photo shoot before and she made me feel SO comfortable even taking photos with serious looks, "smiling" eyes, etc. It was so fun to have 2 hours of attention all on me and on taking flattering photos of me! The poses included sitting, walking, standing, playing on pull-up bars, jumping, playing ball with Ruggles (my dog), holding Ruggles, sitting with my dad, etc. Within about one week, she had photo shopped 10 of the best shots for me and sent me about 25 others. I now have several new Facebook profile photos that I LOVE and I still need to print out other shots too. Thank you Ashley!! Ashley shoots engagements, weddings, pets, baby showers, graduations, and anything and everything in between! I'd highly recommend you contact her and set-up your own amazing shoot! :)

Ashley is truly amazing!…read more I have worked with her on several shoots (because I am an recording artist) and the work she has done for me is phenomenal! Ashley has done shots for my website/myspace and for cover work for some of my songs. Ashley is so creative and really has an eye for what looks fabulous on camera. When I worked with her, she was extremely sweet, and interactive, making me feel comfortable and giving me tons of great direction to go by. This girl has some crazy vision and you can see it in her work! The thing I love about Ashley is that she doesn't want to just "take a picture" of someone. She wants to know going into it what the client wants to say or convey and really showcase that through her photos. Ashley is great at doing conceptual shoots and really telling a story through her work. She is so talented and I ALWAYS look forward to working with her!!! I HIGHLY recommend booking her if you want to take photos of any kind! She truly has a gift!

My husband and I rarely take professional photos and I was afraid that I was going to look awkward but she made this awkward girl look SO good. She let us have have fun with natural poses but also had a lot of prompts to help us. Come wedding day, she was super efficient and knew how to gather my huge family to take photos. I also had a lot of different request and she got all of them without feeling rushed for the next photo. Besides her amazing photography skills, Maddie is a presence you need during a wedding. She was calm and collected while also being fun and down to do whatever!! There were a few moments where I was stressed and she was definitely the confidant I needed. I cannot say thank you enough to Maddie for not only capturing mine and my husbands day so perfectly, but for being the most wonderful person while doing it. She knows the exact tips and tricks to get you out of your shell to capture real, raw moments and she did exactly that. Her work has such a beautiful touch to it, if there was one word to describe the feeling I get when I see our pictures, it would be "love". I can't thank her enough for capturing the moments that are going to last a lifetime. We're currently setting up another photoshoot just for fun because I loved the first one so much. 100% recommend, you will NOT be disappointed! She was helpful in scouting a new location we wanted to try and find dates that worked with our schedule. To illustrate how amazing she is: our daughter came down with a fever the afternoon of our planned session - she was already onsite but was SO understanding and quickly found another time that worked (with incredible lighting!) And equally importantly: the pictures were amazing - we could not be happier with the results and we've received so many compliments from friends and family. Kristin was also so natural with our daughter and helped her relax immediately and kept the session fun and engaging for her. We are definitely going to use Kristin to capture photos of our family again, and we recommend you do, too! You'll be so happy you did.

She was so easy to contact and have video calls with. She really listened about what we liked, were comfortable with, and what we were wanting. She really is a super star! She quickly and respectfully got large families and groups in place to get our images before the ceremony. This allowed us to have some private time taking photos during our cocktail hour, with time for us to enjoy our cocktail hour! During the ceremony she was very respectful and mindful of the guests. She captured the shots without being a distraction or blocking views from guests. Throughout the night she captured incredible shots! This review is long delayed as our wedding was in October 2025 and engagement photos in April 2025…read morebut looking back at the pictures captured by Vivian brings back so much good memories! Viv was immediately our first choice because she has an incredible portfolio of photographing in redwoods and nature which is sometimes very difficult to photograph with the different lighting. We are a bit awkward but from the get go, she was easy to talk to and was also organized. Our wedding was on the casual side so we did not have a planner but Viv was on top of everything and even though we had a day of coordinator, Viv was the one coordinating when it was her time and took lead which was much needed to wrangle everyone. The wedding was a tiny bit chaotic, running behind and rather short but Viv did a fantastic job capturing candid moments and making sure to pull us away for portrait photos away from everyone else before the wedding ended. She was professional and there wasn't a moment where I thought she was distracted. Her work speaks for itself but I really love that she shoots in multiple formats and captures the light and nature around the subjects so clearly and naturally. I often wish our wedding was slightly longer or not running behind because that would have given Viv even more time to take amazing pictures! We really enjoyed having Viv as our photography and thankful for the memories she has captured for us.

We were given curated referrals for a photographer from both the venue, Mister Jiu's, and our wedding planner, and something about Vivian's photos struck us as both intimate and purposeful, naturally capturing the best moments in her subjects and the moment. Vivian has a terrific eye for capturing everything from the planned and choreographed to the spontaneous. Many of our photos were taken at the venue and the surrounding area of San Francisco's Chinatown before and during our dinner celebration. We were always in good hands, experimenting with different poses, cameras, and film to achieve a varied look, which, upon reflection, my wife and I were so glad Vivian took the time to do everything she did. We also appreciated her ability to switch gears from serious to witty, perfectly capturing every moment our surroundings or guests placed us in. And importantly, Vivian captured every important moment, framing our loved ones and us perfectly, even when we didn't know she was doing so. Vivian always made us feel welcomed, was always kind, and appreciated the love and joy perfectly captured in our photos that day. Thank you, Vivian, for being there with us on our special day!
