At the Union Station Los Angeles , California

Happy Thanksgiving! We took the train to Seattle from Union Station in Los Angeles. The Amtrak came on time. We got a sleeper car. Very nice and clean. The room has plenty of linen , towels , soap and pillows. We also have a shower in the sleeper car. Is not a trip for everyone The food is amazingly good , I give it a 7 out of 10 The service is nice . If you can survive in a small sleeper car with your partner , then I recommend it The staff in the train are very nice. They are all wearing mask. Hand sanitizer everywhere. You are require to wear your mask at all times, except when eating or in your room.At night time was very quiet Everything is clean. They offer a lot of coffee throughout the night. If you have a sleeper car, 5 meals are included. Definitely not for children Nothing for them to do , in my opinion. Enjoy your day !

*** This review is for the Klamath Falls station, not for Amtrak generally *** There's not much to this station. It's basically a simple waiting room with an Amtrak counter. There's no shop to get snacks or reading materials for your train ride. You can pick up a newspaper from the coin operated stands outside the building.

K-Falls is an All American town. While the Falls do not exist, the folks are among my favorite. Go Hornets!

    Ask the Community - Amtrak

Is their customer parking at the Klamath Falls Amtrak station? We may need to leave a vehicle there for 1-2 days.

I'm doing same soon. Did you ever receive an answer or can you recommend where ?

I liked this Shuttle just fine. I wanted to go to Crescent City and see the Redwood forests. I was…read morecurious to check out Grant's Pass, where my reclusive brother lives. And a stay at the Running Y Ranch in Klamath Falls was on my agenda. Thanks to careful Southwest Point Shuttle schedule planning, I was able to get to visit all these scenic places. I also took the Shuttle back to Medford Airport. They ran pretty much on time, had friendly drivers (Jennice was very nice) but beware: bathroom breaks are very quick & rushed for the most part so lay off the hooch or water until you get to where you're going. Now the Point runs several different routes in Oregon: a Cascade route; an Eastern route; a High Desert route; a Northwest (Portland) route and this Southwest route which I rode. Kudos to the state of Oregon for partially funding this enterprise to help people get around. In fact, the Oregon Department of Transportation in June 2014 made sure Klamath Falls residents could get down to Medford Airport once air passenger service from Klamath Falls ended. The Oregon DOT reminded Klamath Falls residents looking to fly out of Medford, that there is a stress-free way to get to the Medford Airport and back via South West POINT shuttle. In just a little under 2 hours, you can get come down the mountain to (and from) Klamath to the Medford Airport and back. The Shuttle also goes to the Klamath Falls Amtrak station where you can pick up the Pacific Starlight train. Once May tourist season arrives, the shuttle has a bus that runs up to Crater Lake and back. I would have loved to have done that. According to the POINT website, "this route's 22- and 24-passenger buses have free Wi-Fi, power outlets, air conditioning, space for your luggage and bicycle, and are wheelchair accessible." Tickets are sold online or by Amtrak and Greyhound. The website says the drivers do not sell tickets but they do. I recommend giving the POINT a try: I met many locals who ride it all the time. When I visit someplace scenic, I like to let someone else do the driving, so I can drink in the beauty and majesty that is all around me.

The shuttle got me to Medford with no issue and the driver was not only a great driver in the snow but also was quite the character. She made me laugh a number of times.

Luckily I bailed off bus soon after got on at first stop and got a hotel room and made other arrangements to make the trip!! Greyhound is like prison transport! Cramped and miserable!! By six o'clock, they canceled the service for the day my bus would have. depart at 825 they sent me a lovely email saying how they were going to give me a free trip or a refund which I think is funny. Because, I already paid for the original trip, nothing is free!!! i contacted customer service and explained that I already booked my hotel had my ride all set up customer service barely speaks english. She didn't even understand me and had explained that I could rebook online. I rebooked for sunday now without a hotel room to go to. sitting here in medford oregon now once again three hours delayed. This trip has cost me $400 dollars and two days and i'm still sitting at the pickup location honestly would have been better off renting a car.
