I'm not sure why this store has such bad reviews. My mother and I had a great experience when we…read morewere buying floor tiles. We had a lovely man Bill come right up to help..and we found some that were on clearance that were perfect. They had exactly how many boxes we needed. The boxes were insanely heavy..8 huge porcelain pieces per box. But Bill put them in a cart for us and helped load them into our tiny car. They were so heavy that the trunk was almost dragging on the ground haha. It turned out that we bought the wrong kind and had to immediately turn back around *sigh* When we got back Bill came out and helped unload the car with us. We felt so bad, but he was so kind and didn't seem annoyed at all. We will definitely be buying the right tiles there. They have a great selection and good prices. Special shout-out to Toni at customer service for checking us out quickly and helping with the return. Thanks to Rachel for her knowledge and kindness. And to Garrett for helping us load the car.

This Home Depot location in Amsterdam was nothing to brag about, it looked similar to the one in…read moreQueensbury (not as aesthetically pleasing as the Home Depots back west), but it had most of the same items. The staff seemed a little bit rough around the edges, but at the end of the day they returned the wrong sized solar lights... and we had the works insure/double check to make sure that we had the correct sized lights this time around before making the purchase and driving off. Initially, the gentleman who worked in the department of the lights told us that he only had two lights, which would have left us one short.... but when we were checking out we asked them if they could check their computer inventory to see if they had anymore... sure enough they did. We were happy that we saved ourselves another Home Deport trip by having them search inventory to see if they had another light.... we were grateful to the staff members who were able to located the third light, which is why this store will earn a two start rating rather than a one star rating. The solar powered post lights were installed successfully - they fit and they work :) YAY!

When we lodged a complaint with the corporate offices we were told they, "We do respect those that have served ... active military or veteran ... but we no longer allow discounts on any building supplies." Since their primary business is a building supply store, what good does it do to even offer one at all?! My comment in reply to their statement was, "Actions speak louder than words. I don't believe that your corporation does respect the military." We shall be shopping now at their competitors.

I specifically highly recommend Emily LaRose at KBW. I am not particularly visionary, but what I…read morelike when I see it, as well as appreciate artistic design and beauty. Emily came into my kitchen, that needed much help, and was able to see it as a blank slate of design opportunity. She was completely up to the task and excited to have it as a clean slate. I was blown away by the renderings and was not expecting that gut reaction. We have had our kitchen now for 3 years and it designed SO amazing that I still feel amazing to be in the space. The entire design was not only beautiful but highly functional. I would not change a single drawer or cabinet. Some people are lucky enough to do as a profession what they have gifts in, Emily is one of them. I can't wait to work with her again. At the end of the day, its not just a kitchen, its where we are a family, now we all congragate to this space.

I have to agree with other reviewers mentioning how awful the installation process went. The…read morepurchase was super smooth because I did my homework and knew exactly what we wanted down to the model numbers. What really buttered my biscuit was them telling me my 220v outlet was not working....so, I hired an electrician to come out to fix an outlet that turns out was working perfectly.....($189.95) minimum house call charge. Also they had issue with the drainage for my dishwasher.....had a plumber come out to tell me they only needed a $2.75 PCV flange to get past their installation Issue. This is not the experience I expected and apparently purchasing a Heavy Duty Washer and Dryer, a Refrigerator, a Dishwasher and an Induction Stove ( which came out to more than a couple bucks) all at the same time does not warrant sending out installation people with more than one installation under their belts. We're not likely to use them again. Mostly because of the Electrician thing
