IF YOU'RE BLACK AVOID THIS PLACE and it's franchises (at least in Miami....not sure if it's…read morenationwide). The place has policies in place that they ONLY apply to their black customers. I went to cash my FL Unemployment check. I always endorse my check when i'm going to cash it. Never knew i had to sign my check in front of the teller at a check cashing place. Been cashing check forever and this was the first time someone looked right at my check and said "Oh you have to endorse that in front of me". The manager immediatley came over pointing to a tiny lil square sticker on the glass...at the bottom. I was at the counter all of 2 minutes and was out the door. Ok fine that's your policy....cool. But how come ALL OF MY HISPANIC friends never have this problem. A friend came in a little after me with his check already endorsed and THEY GAVE HIM NO PROBLEMS. Checked his ID, glanced at the back to make sure it was signed, and went about the business at hand. We got another friend who's AFRO LATINA. The teller began to scrutinize him but as he began to speak spanish she allowed him to proceed even though he endorsed his check before coming to the window. This place applies it's policies in a racist manner. I was disgusted and i'm reporting them to the appropiate authorities in the State Of FL.

They telll you to come back during business hours and don't even do much to verify the real ness of your check. These people made me come back in the morning just to tell me they couldn't cash my check. I could've gone somewhere else for that. The girl with the curly hair has the worst attitude.

I told him I need to make a payment. He asked for my phone number. He then told me that number belongs to somebody else. I asked how he knew that because he never asked my name. He then argued with me. I gave him my license and he said he had to enter a profile. I said it is already in there because I did this same payment last month. He then told me the profile was incomplete. When it got time for the payment he said he needed the account number. I told him it's department of corrections and there's no account number: he then argued with me. I had my phone to the window the entire time to show him how to make the payment for CheckFree payments. Again, I did the same payment weeks before at this location. I guess he realized he was wrong because he got quiet and the transaction was complete in a few minutes. Why don't this place employees realize we are poor and struggling and we don't need more struggle trying to make payments? The manager is terrible for not teaching empathy or training. This location should be closed for good and the people laid off so they can learn how hard reality is. Do not come here if you need any services. Go to Amscot across the street.
