Because I was only a guest at the wedding I can't really say how the booking and planning of things went but the bride was very happy. :) There are huge screens in the venue which they used to display the table numbers and seating. I would say the venue was big enough to hold about 200 seated and still have room for a DJ, dance floor, bar, and buffet style catering. The food was great although again I don't know if it was catered out or part of the venue. The bar staff was excellent and I am pretty sure they came with the venue :) There was a space for the bride to get dressed plus an upstairs space where they put a Photo Booth for pics. The actual ceremony was help outdoors and like I said it's surrounded by greenery to make some gorgeous pictures. There's some seating outside under a patio awning space plus a seated swing which I enjoyed sitting on waiting for guests to arrive (I was early). I would say if you are looking for a more remote wedding location and want outdoors but the wedding inside.....check this place out!

The Espresso Martinis were made fresh with an onsite Nespresso. Yum! Definitely worth checking out the venue space for your next event. We also thought it was awesome that there was a "homestead" for folks to rent out for wedding weekends. I will say, it can be hard to hear with the acoustics of the building. If you have a lively bunch, it may be challenging to hear speaches/announcements (at least from where we were sitting).

After this recent recital and speaking to some teachers and the owner backstage, I feel I have finally had enough and want to give my 2 cents. Especially in the context of finding out what is being paid to this studio for a sub par product. Daughter is essentially paying a second mortgage with all direct and indirect costs considered and still asked to volunteer time for the studio. The owner and a younger instructor told me at the recital that my granddaughter has a "future in dance" and can go "pro". Turn around and they are giving another eager parent the SAME spiel. They constantly talk with hopeful parents and impressionable children about being pro, getting to the next "level"/competition team, and their need for more and more classes to make these levels or not let their skills "deteriorate". These are all seemingly tactics to make more money because they want you to take dance year round and more of it to get to these levels and teams. You absolutely will make the team if you are old enough and you follow their prescription of more classes for long enough-I saw it first hand with one of mine. It's more pay-to-play than skill and the end product shows this. The competitions also feel very pay-to-play in recent years, compared to when my daughter did them, with all the participation awards given to nearly every dancer-but that is not wishes run, just vehemently encouraged by them. The steady stream of confusing awards keeps customers coming back and keep girls on their competition teams. The grand kids are there 5-6 days a week most weeks and are exhausted all for a sub par product. They are not involved in extra curricular activities at school or really anything else because they've been convinced by teachers it would detract from dance. The families are also asked to volunteer like it's a school field trip or charity event. Some parents even work at the studio part time for "discounts" per my daughter and they also have the older girls teaching the younger ones their recital dances and I see them assisting on stage. Im told by my girls they aren't compensated or rewarded in any way-it's just an expectation. It's a pyramid scheme that rewards you for loyalty (also see: trophy where they engrave your name after 5,10, etc years of dance). I am supportive of their dance and have always supported my daughters and their children, but I also have a unique perspective of having simultaneous experience with a few studios in the area and Indy. Trust me, there are better studios with less staff turnover that produce more skilled dancers without the significant cost and time demanded by Wishes. P.S. My wife said something I thought was a great metaphor-it feels like those model scouts in the mall back in the 90s where they convinced a kid they had a modeling career waiting, but only if you took their internal modeling classes and paid for headshots through them.

My husband and I are "go with the flow" type people, which can be great, but isn't always the best when planning a wedding. We tend to procrastinate and put things off. Megan was our saving grace with keeping us on track with the tasks we needed to accomplish, as well as taking stuff off of our plate and handling it herself. Through the entire year of planning our wedding, she went ABOVE and BEYOND what was asked of her. She made the planning process much easier and my husband and I did not have to worry about a single thing on our wedding day.
