We had an indoor/outdoor party planned for mid October and as we all know, the weather is unpredictable. When I saw that the temperatures might drop into the 40s, I reached out to Ace Party Rental three days before the party to see if they rented out patio heat lamps, as I didn't see them listed on their website. The woman on the phone was awesome. She said they did rent them out and that she'd check if they were available and send an invoice my way that day if they were, or call me if they weren't. Her communication was great and the process was super simple. I got a quote a few hours later and thought that they were reasonably priced considering they also do drop-off and pick-up (which went smoothly and was on time too). Thank you for saving the party! I've used their service before and had a pleasant experience, but am very dissatisfied this go round. They previously charged for delivery only, not pick up. They now charge a $100 pick up fee and $100 delivery fee even though their policy states $15 plus $6 per mile. My home is only 5.4 miles from their business. Additionally, they set the tent up 3 days prior to my event making it a hassle to mow the lawn which I told them when it was scheduled . I requested they set up 1-2 days prior to the event and they advised it'd be an additional $100 fee. Lastly, they bill the customer for using a credit card or check whether online or in person and don't accept cash. I was charged over $40 in fees just to pay them. Awful. Nickel and diming me has cost them a future customer. **editing the review as the manager has since contacted me and offered me a credit for the mistake in their written contract regarding the delivery and pick up fee. He seemed genuinely apologetic for my experience and I appreciate that. read more

Today while at Lion's Park I saw a lot of tents and people setting them up as I rolled down the wheelchair ramp. I came to jog more or less around the park path. As I rounded on my first lap I saw a nice looking box truck with its lift out and down. When I saw it was in the handicap spot nearest the path to the gazebo, I got the attention of a young man whom came over. I shared the information about the laws and potential fines using handicap parking. I shared s simple and free solution to resolve this. Also, he had no idea as it is with most people that using a handicap spot or that striped area is a violation of people with disabilities rights. The solution also unblocked the path cars take to drive out of the parking lot if they parked in the nearby area. He pulled the truck into about 4 or so able spaces and unblocked the handicap area and car path as well. I did my laps and watched as the workers setting up went about getting everything perfect for tomorrow's big event for St. Vincent's NIC U. for kids. Excellent work ethic. Hard working and very polite as well as understanding of a delicate issue. I may not have hired this company, but after watching them and they being such awesome sports about the parking not just 5 stars. 100 stars. It's just not really the greatest. Kinda a rip off if you ask me. I was told it would be 200 for a slushee machine and suddenly it's $318 from on these add ons. Kinda ridiculous. I used Ace for my daughter's wedding. We had a tent, tables, chairs, and a dance floor. All the equipment looked fantastic. We didn't get sides for the tent and it worked out great because we saved money and there was more air flow under the tent. When they picked up we hadn't stacked the chairs and we were afraid we were going to be charged a fee but they were really nice about it. If I have another event though I will be sure to stack the equipment properly for the delivery/pick up crew. read more

What a fantastic company! Our school was having our annual Make-a-Wish fundraiser, and after a few years of bad tent service we were a little nervous to see how this year would end up. We were pleasantly surprised! They delivered the day before our event and had everything set up (tent, bounce house, dunk tank) in no time! The service was fantastic; they were able to answer any and all questions we had, and were very polite and pleasant to talk to. The pricing was reasonable, though I will note that they donated a few items to our fundraiser therefore lowering the cost a little. I rented equipment from here for my grad party in June, it was a blast! I got the frozen drink machine and needless to say it was the main event! I also received the "mini chiller" for pasta salads and wraps, it was the perfect size and met our needs! they delivered our items efficiently and on time.
