So I go to this AM PM every day during my lunch break to get a refill of soda. I bring one of those 44oz Coke cups that look like Coke bottles. I got it at Carl's Jr, which has NEVER had a cup bigger than 44oz. So today an employee named Juan C says that he has to charge me for a 45+oz refill because my cup doesn't say how big it is. He claims the manager told him this, but when asked what the manager's name was, he replies "we have different managers". I asked who told him this, and he gives me his own name. Isn't it illegal t charge more than the posted price? Does he really think I'm trying to cheat AM PM out of 20 cents? That sure is bad customer service, especially for someone who has come there nearly every week day since they re-opened. I think they have lost my business. read more

DON'T SPEND YOUR MONEY AT STORES THAT TREAT YOU LIKE A THIEF!!!!…read more Another racist store clerk revealed: Circle K on Paramount near Stewart and Gray in Downey. Who likes to be stared at like a common criminal while trying to choose snacks to buy? The middle eastern guy with the dark beard and heavy accent practices appearance-based discrimination and prejudice. I'm an American, and a 2-branch veteran. I was wearing a highly visible Burberry case too, and linen clothing from J Peterman. A white man entered right before I did and he was politely ignored. As soon as I enter the beard hollers out something at me. I picked out 2 Pepsi bottles and 2 candy bars. I was carrying a bulky bag as I'd just made a large, $60+ purchase at Shakeys. I was fumbling the candy because I was carrying a lot and beard yells "Can I HELP you?" But he said it in a suspicious, unfriendly and hostile tone. He was staring at me every moment I was in the store too. I said "You know what? I'm not comfortable here, you're staring at me and treating me like I'm some sort of criminal." He replied, "I watch everybody." I left his trash there without spending my money at this Circle K. I told him he's a fool, which he is for having such overt prejudices and laying them on unknowing people who spend their money at the Downey Circle K near Paramount and Stewart and Gray. I didn't have cash on me at the moment so I offered to purchase other items such as ice cream or drinks. I was told no unless the purchase was specifically water. That was weird. I couldn't retrieve my bottles or cancel my order since they were being filled. I had to forcibly get cash. I guess it's my fault for not asking first. Before I left, I asked her what my total was and she said $3.00. No problem. I came back with the exact amount only for her to charge me $3.50. Again not a problem. I had change in the car. But when I told her she said $3.00 she started being defensive about it pretty bad and being rude as if I was trying to haggle her out of .50 cents. The price didn't matter to me. I think it's fair. Someone in line covered the difference for me while I ran to the car to grab some extra change to pay them back. It just seemed like a lot of inconvenience if they had a cash only sign. Most places accept debit or credit now and days. It's more sanitary and safer.
