4/21/2019: When Costco is closed due to holiday celebrations, there's always an Arco Gas Station not too far from a Costco Gas Station; HOWEVER, please make certain you have a plethora of cash! Why? Because IF, you use your ATM Debit Bank Card, Arco will charge you a disingenuous "Chump Fee" which might be 45-cents, 50-cents OR MORE equating as NG, i.e., not good-period! Arco doesn't accept credit cards so, you must head to your bank's ATM machine FIRST before visiting ANY Arco Gas Station throughout California! Why? All Arco Gas Stations operate the same way~just cease asking me why, okay? Eye roll ensuing and incessant, exhale sighing prompts exerting extreme palpitations . . . Anyway, this Easter Sunday was uneventful more so than other days due to I was the second person at the gas station buying gas which was eeerily quiet-weird. Avoid this AMPM at all costs!! I went in to grab 2 breakfasts bars in a hurry before a soccer game, one wouldn't scan so I told the cashier, Nicole, that I would just take the one that scanned. Not sure why she got upset but she THREW the breakfast bar at my hand. After I paid she had a super snarky and sarcastic attitude telling me to have a good day and after we exchanged some words, it ended in her calling me a bitch. So this was the first gas station my husband and I stopped after arriving in LA and driving from there. The location is definitely convenient, and easy in and out. We were shocked to find out that they do not take credit card. They even charge a fee for using a debit card....so basically cash only if you do not wanna pay an extra. And we were thinking in our heads "Is this the norm in Roseville? Are we back to 1970's?" No of course it is not. It was just this gas station but for a good reason. We later found out this is basically the cheapest gas station in the area, matter fact it was a couple cents cheaper than Costco Gas! The AMPM located at 1261 Pleasent Grove Blvd in Roseville, California was one of the most cleanest, fully staffed with professional employees, and the most efficient gas station I have been to in sometime outside of a Costco. Pretty much the cheapest gas in Roseville. There is another Arco location further down Foothills that has similar prices, but this one is more convenient and easier to get in and out of. This location also has a car wash and mini mart. It's easy to get out of onto Pleasant Grove Blvd or Foothills Blvd and get back going either direction. The pumps are spaced out a good distance apart so I have never been blocked trying to get to one of the pumps because I can't maneuver around. They charge $0.35 to use your debit card but it still makes it the cheapest gas in the area. Because of this the place is almost always packed! I've rarely had to wait though which is nice because people seem to get in and out quickly. I will keep coming by as long as I'm in the area. read more

This gas station is always packed. Long lines & inattentive employees. The attendance inside always seem preoccupied and aren't very helpful. Always texting and having side conversations. Do not use the car wash here. The attendant broke the antenna of the top of our car with the washing mop. He didn't say anything and let the car go through. We have requested camera footage and have a witness but they won't respond to our request. I believe this is very bad customer service. The antenna receiver cost $400 to fix. read more

Arco probably has the lowest gas prices in Roseville. As with other Arco locations, you can only pay with either cash or ATM/debit. They charge a $0.35 fee for using debit, but it's still a good deal overall. Because this gas station is located on Pleasant Grove, it is regularly packed. Even though they have plenty of pumps, you should still be prepared to wait for your chance at the pumps. I actually try to avoid this one and opt for the one on Foothills Blvd because I just don't have the patience. Good luck! read more

I came in to swap a propane tank like we do every 4 days and the assistant manager Dustin said he didn't have time to do it. I didn't quite understand what he meant but he said he had no time for it and had paperwork to do. I said please can we just swap it out like we always do and Dustin cursed me out and told me to get the F**** out of his store. He also smelled like alcohol so whoever is his boss should definitely check on him. Very rude experience. If I could leave no stars, I would. This gas station DOES NOT TAKE CREDIT CARDS!!! I'm appalled that a gas station doesn't take credit cards. I prefer to use credit over debit so I'm not entering my pin at the pump and they take cash or debit only. If you're not taking credit cards because of the cost, I suggest you just close up shop. The car wash broke down and after trying to get it running for over 30 minutes I asked the clerk to please let people through who can't continue to wait. I was rudely told to get back in my car. The clerk didn't appear to have any knowledge of how to repair it as well as it would have been easy to ask the drivers in line to go thru so that others weren't blocked. They needed to go into the store anyway to get a refund or could have waited in the parking lot if they wanted. In the meantime I went in to the store and got my refund from the so called manager and was not even given an apology. I went back out and the clerk (Josh) was arguing with the customer whose car was first stuck but was told to drive around and get back in line. They did not offer her a refund. Since I could see some trapped customers had backed out I approached him and asked if the way was finally clear. Again, in the most rude tone I was ordered to calm down. On June 7th, 2021, I drove into the 1261 Pleasant Grove Blvd, AM PM ARCO Car Wash, corner of Pleasant Grove Blvd and Foothills Blvd. I took my 2016 Chevy Tahoe into the wash and a man was there to start the wash. I was advancing through it on a track and after getting a ways in, I felt my Tahoe lift up in the front, because it was jumping a track very slowly. I could not see out because my windows were covered with soap. I didn't realize that my Tahoe was veering to the right and turning on a right 45 degree angle. I honked my horn, but to no avail. Then, I hit a yellow machine with the front right corner of the Tahoe. I put on the brake and put it into park. I looked around and the man who started the wash was no where to be seen. I was stuck inside the wash, and I was laying on my horn and they did not come out for several minutes. Finally two guys came out and one of them helped me get my Tahoe out and he took a brief report that he had me sign. He said the manager would call me the next day. That never happened. I could not reach anyone responsible at the ARCO main office, and I left my phone number, but they never called me. I turned it into my insurance the same day the incident happened. Now, in early August, I still have no word and it seems Arco and/or their insurance is saying it is my fault. They say I used my controls (brakes, steering, transmission) to get myself in that position. I am in my 60s, I have used this car wash many times, and I have more sense than to take my car for a joyride during a wash. I also am not an alcohol user at all. When I could have been helped, their man was on a break. I have a few thousand dollars in damage. I remember when I drove the Tahoe into the wash, they have a sudden right turn after you pay and select the wash and you turn into the tracks for your tires, but your car if it is a bigger one might still be at an angle. If that was the case, their man hit the button to send me through. He could see more than I could and he could of noticed if both of my left tires were in the tracks. One last thing: Harvey P on this Yelp page on 7/22/21, in his review just a few weeks ago about this same carwash, shared a similar experience. He said, "the back end of the car wasn't even on the track because half way thru the car wash the car lunged and slipped into the track." This man also said, "Terrible design for a car wash with a 90 degree turn so close to the loading converter belt." This man's car and my Tahoe may have both been out of the track with the rear left tires, or at least bound up a little with some tension. When did companies stop taking responsibility for their mistakes or their faulty equipment. In referring to Harvey P again, he said this about the man that was running the wash when his car was damaged: "He actually said he sees it all the time, and that my damage isn't that bad." So by admission of their own employee, the mishaps are quite frequent. Sounds like this happens a lot at this carwash, and they are playing the "its not my fault" game. I think all AMPM's/Arcos have a .35 cent fee for using an ATM card so it's not just this one. But this one is my favorite for my morning coffee or energy drink! Every morning I come into this one, the people are so nice and happy.. Instead of the market closer to my work, they are grumpy and prices are higher. This AMPM has the biggest variety of my morning drinks including the Ice Mocha Latte's!! Yumm! This place is poorly managed. The employees have a terrible attitude, and dont care about the patrons. I drove up today and there was a ton of broken glass right by two of the pumps i could barely drive around it. I had to change pumps because one of the computer terminals was frozen. I payed the rip off fee, then went in to inform them about the glass hazard. There were a couple of employees in the almost empty store, so i spoke to the aggro guy behind the counter and told him politely about the glass, and he says yeah we know, we will get to that later . Later? Why? How long does it take to grab a push broom and sweep it up so people dont ruin their tires or cut themselves on it!! Hey this is Roseville, and people live here who have decency and respect for themselves and their community .That crap can fly in other places but not here.
