They have a parking lot, it is small, but hopefully you're just popping in and out so nobody's there for too long. Another reason I like shopping at plaid pantries in general is they do run deals on certain products that they get into the store so you'll find different chips or snacks and drinks on sale regularly so you can try new things. If you're in the area and need a convenience store this is a good one to check out.

Tonight though, it was the fantastic customer service that stuck out in my head. I'd been downtown and left my phone on a boat. My friend dropped me at home and took off before realizing I didn't have it. Frantic, I ran to Plaid Pantry to call for a cab (in order to race back downtown before the boat owner went home - because I could not call him). Strangely, the pay phone out front is now gone. In an even bigger panic, I ran into Plaid Pantry to ask where a pay phone was. Feeling bad for my plight, since it has been removed from this location, the blonde young man (with his eyebrow pierced) went and got his phone and let me use it to call Broadway cab. He could have just pointed in the direction of where a payphone might be so that went above and beyond good customer service. Luckily, a cab came right away and I was able to get back downtown and retrieve my phone. I have been shopping at this Plaid for 13 years and will continue to do so...but I just want it known that the young man that was working tonight was exceptionally kind. In fact, I have never come across a clerk working at this store that hasn't been. Kudos to whoever does the hiring for this store.

It's usually pretty busy. Employees are friendly as well. I haven't had any issues with the pumps being out of order or card readers not working in quite a while, so I've added a star since my previous review. They have their own rewards program which is free to sign up. They take Safeway rewards in addition to Chevron rewards. They also have special deals where you can earn extra points on certain days of the week or holidays. For example, this weekend (4th of July) they offered 2500 bonus points for a fill up of 8 gallons or more. Also, each time you fill up with your Chevron rewards, you automatically get 5 to 10 cents off per gallon. Every little bit helps with gas prices today!
