Walmart so yesterday…read more It's been awhile since I've stepped into a Meyer. Was I shocked. Now I knew this was a supermarket. IDK it was so much more. It's reminded me of a Super Walmart just way more organized. Everything is where it was suppose to be. Really how many times have you walked into a Walmart and found a rubber ball in the bread department or a pack of frozen hamburger defrosting in the can soup section? People just don't think. I looked to find things out of place and didn't see anything. I'm not saying it doesn't happen, I'm saying there was so much staff that it taken care of right away if needed. Aside from the food, there's a craft section, an auto section, a hardware section, a garden section, well you get the idea. And this particular Fred Meyer is the smaller one for the area. THE SMALLER ONE?!?!?!? Overall four stars. This place has everything. I'm not giving five stars because I wasn't here long enough to really justify it. But it's close to being there. Now excuse me, forgot I came here for an energy drink. Well it's an excuse to explore more :)

They have an employee who is an angry old man who intimidates others. On 1.26.25, I was at the Starbucks drive through that shares this Albertson's parking lot when this Albertson's employee (see photo) in a black Chevy Silverado truck (see other photo) Oregon license plate #127 EXL) verbally accosted me and my wife. He took offense to my being in the clearly identified Starbucks drive through lane and wanted me to move my car out of his way. Needless to say, my wife and tried to ignore his gestures and verbal abuse including calling me names until he literally got out of his truck and pantomimed me moving my car where he wanted me to. He looked like the village idiot and was threatening to others. He acted like he was the Mayor of that parking lot and others need to get out of his way. He is wearing a black Albertson's hat and had a black Albertsons apron on with his name tag. I was too shaken to get his name off his name tag but my wife took the photos you see on this review. I am also writing to Albertsons to inform them of the obnoxious and deeply disturbing behavior one of their employees displayed while clearly wearing the Albertsons uniform. Shame on him!

On top of that, there didn't seem to be much care taken when bagging my items. For example, I purchased a hot rotisserie chicken for dinner, and it was placed at the very bottom of the bag -- underneath other groceries. The heat from the container actually melted my cookies. It was disappointing because I chose to go through a cashier hoping for better service. I understand everyone has off days, but a little friendliness and attention to how groceries are packed would have made a big difference.
