It was one of those issues that wasn't obvious, but he took his time and really worked through it instead of guessing. He ended up tracking the problem from upstairs all the way down to a downstairs smoke detector. That meant crawling through the attic and following the wiring step by step. Definitely not an easy job, and I appreciated the effort he put in to actually find the root cause. Ricardo was polite, professional, and easy to talk to. You can tell he knows what he's doing. We got quotes from 2 companies and we were very glad we went with Edwin and R. E and R had great customer service, great workmanship and were very reasonably priced. They didn't use shoes in our house, cleaned up after themselves and the final installation work was excellent. They gave us the exact lights we wanted (I was very picky because I had some very particular interior design looks i wanted in 3 different rooms which took in total about 12 lights). The other company that i had invited to give a quote had over twenty 5 star reviews but they were extremely rude, quoted exorbitant prices and tried talking me into the lights they thought were best! We first contacted Amperage March 31, when they enthusiastically said they could install an EV charger for us. We set up an appointment and AFTER they said they'd be here, they apologized that they had an emergency and could not make it. I understand that emergencies happen sometimes and accepted their apology. We set up another appointment for today, April 10. Less than an hour before the appointed time, received a message saying "I apologize for the short notice as well but it's not looking like we will be able to service you. We are extremely sorry for having you in hopes that we would come evaluate and are very aware that this is very unprofessional." They might be the best electricians in the world, but not only did they not show up, they gave me no time to reschedule my own time. I'm extremely disappointed and am only giving them two stars (not one!) because their apologies were so nicely written. read more

Extremely satisfied with the professionalism and service from Amperage Electric and Ricardo. I coordinated an install for some outdoor floodlight and camera. He was knowledgeable and experienced enough to know exactly how to install the items. He had no issues at all, and was able to install everything very quickly. There was a small item that could have made the install complete that I didn't have, he even went all the way to Ace hardware to try to get it, but they were out. I needed a Tesla charger installed outside our home. I used Yelp to get multiple quotes from local electricians, but I decided to go with Amperage for their reasonable rates & prompt response. I'm so glad I did as Edwin & Ricardo were pleasant to work with and are both very knowledgeable. The day after our charger was installed, we noticed lights flickering all over our house and no power on some of the outlets. So we thought it was caused by our new charger. My husband immediately called Amperage as it was an emergency, and they showed up the same day. After a thorough inspection, they found out that one of the PG&E power line completely broke off from the back of our house, and it had nothing to do with the charger. After PG&E came to fix the line, all the power in our house was restored. It's been two weeks, and the charger is working perfectly. Please support small businesses and give these guys a chance.
